thatguy vs. Smash_Brother is going to be a big fight, looks like. I think Shecky should have to fight all three of us at once haha.

Faster characters are harder to play as in laggy fights. Their moves come out fast but the hit "window", if you will, is much shorter. The larger characters attacks might be slow but because their animations are longer they are easier to land in a lag filled match where your timing is skewed.

I have a friend who plays Ike and beats me online, but when we play locally I usually beat him. Ike is ideal in a laggy match because his attacks are long lasting, hard hitting and have huge range.

I beat EasyCure in a melee stage extravaganza.

Big blue is lame.

306
I'm waiting for EasyCure to come on for our round 1, does anyone else want to go a few for fun?

307
I beat ParyBear for my round two fight

308
I'll face anyone right now for fun....

We could update the first post with a list of people registered maybe?

Zoidburg could sit on the box maybe?

Online has been pretty hit or miss for me. It hasn't been as bad as some of the people here have been saying though. I don't have problems connecting and my personal friends all connect to me fairly well. One friend has a crappy router so I find his connection to be a laggy, but my other friends are pretty good. Then every once and a while things slow right down no matter who I'm playing.

Am I happy with it? Yeah, i guess. Could it be better? of course it could. But the way I see it I can play my friends when driving to their house isn't an option and the lag is only unplayably bad every once and a while. I've even played against some NWR forum members with very little lag, even though I live in Canada and I'm pretty sure they live in the US.

PS. I wish they had the option for voice chat calling my friend on the phone every couple matches is lame

Snakes down smash is a proximity mine, his down special is a remote mine. You can lay as many proxy's as you want and they'll blow if someone steps on them. you can only lay one remote mine and it will only blow if you press down b again. Both will blow up on their own after a while as well.

DAaaMan beat me to it but i'm still putting this up because it's a little more detailed.

You can sidestep dodge the shock waves, it's the only method that I've found is guaranteed to work... granted you get the timing right.

From what I've seen the slower characters have a much better chance in brawl than melee, they just require an incredible amount of patience and timing. My friend is an Ike player, I use either Diddy or Lucas most the time and he always puts up a good fight. Heavy characters are about capitalizing on the mistakes of your opponent in a big big way. Bowser, Ike and Dedede all have a smashes which can ko a regular weight opponent under 100%, the problem is that people have no patience and try to spam huge attacks with long lag times and get dominated because of it.

Also Ike plays much differently than roy, and falco is much more varied from fox than most people are complaining about. I used to play fox in melee and I find him unusable in brawl. Most of his moves have been changed in strength and knockback so his moves don't combo like they should. The spacies don't slide like they used to, it makes there movements jerky and predictable. I just don't think that the spacies are going to be as dominant as they were in melee.

^ Pikmin drowning was one of the most horrific sounds in any video game ever.

I got lucky recently and picked up pikmin 2 in a 2 for $20 deal at a rogers video near my house that was closing. I loved Pikmin 1 but I do think it was a little short. Pikmin 2 encouraged me to explore my surroundings more, take my time and get things right. Pikmin 2 also had a lot more monsters and cool bosses. If anything took away from pikmin 2 it was the endless caverns and the mandatory saves between levels. I agree with Mr.Jack about the bland environments of most of the caves as well.

I've added you, I just think we have to both be online at the same time for it to register on each of our screens.

I'm lonely. Not too many of you have appeared as registered on my friend list, and there is hardly ever anyone on. I'm looking for a solid 1 on 1 match. If you've got what it takes then meet at final destination. I'll be playing for a long time tonight so reply here if you want to get something going.

If you want to play any other type of match say the word. I just prefer 1vs1 no item duels, but i'll play anything.
