The porcupine saga continues as it goes to back to the source, the Able Sisters. I pressed the question, which one of them answered that yes Labelle is indeed their sister, and she sends money to help them out, which the two refuse, but they get it anyway. When asked why Labelle does this, they didn't answer. Is this the end?

Mop it Up, here's the list

Mini oombloid
Tall Oombloid
Mega oombloid
Tall alloid

I should on the same time. If anything changes, I'll let you know.

I need somebody to talk to who isn't a MAN.

Fixed  ;)

I've got my first new neighbor from another town. And she's adorable! Not to mention she was sporting a custom shirt. Interesting...

The porcupine saga continues as Pelly seems to have noticed some strange letters going to the Able Sisters, and Tom Nook knows something, but he's not telling. He gave this menacing gangsta stare. His true colors are shown at last...

EDIT: After an extended absence in the fashion world, I'm back with two spankin' new designs! What are they? I'll give you a hint: they are heroic in quality. Look for it next you time you visit my town or vice versa!

You checked all of the car?

Checked it thoroughly today. No sign of it.

Called the theatre again to see if there's any updates, but none to be had. Wherever it is, its gone...

I recommend chaining stuff to your belt instead of to your pants.

I'll remember that for next time. It might look a bit goofy, but peace of mind pays for itself.

Thanks for your concern people. I'll continue to exhaust all possible leads, but I'm ready for the worst. $@#$ happens.

Nintendo Gaming / Lost my DS...
« on: July 02, 2009, 02:17:55 AM »
 :-[

Lost my DS when I was in the movie theatre. I had it in my left pocket, and some time during me walking out of the theatre and into my car, I noticed it was gone.I looked in my car to see if it slipped out, but it wasn't there either.

I went back to the theatre, searched the area where I sat down, asked the customer service if someone turned it in, said no.

I gave them my info in case it turns up, but I have to assume the worst. Its not like a cell phone or wallet where its only useful to the owner. My guess is that some kid is enjoying a limited edition Mario red DS with NSMB and Ninjatown, some headphones and a black carrying case. All they have to do is drop a few bucks on a AC adapter, boom they're set.  >:(

I registered it to Club Nintendo for the warranty. My question is that what if someone was dumb enough to try to hock it at Gamestop, Amazon, Ebay, can Nintendo track it? If I call Nintendo and say, 'Hey my DS was misplaced, can you track where it went if its scanned?'

Why did I bring my DS to the theatre you say? To kill time between the advertisments and previews. Can't stand 'em. Wish they played cartoons like they did in the 40s...

So yeah, I'm depressed, pissed at myself, hanging on to a sliver of hope. I mean, they could call me tomorrow morning, saying they picked it up! But I'm not holding my breath... :-[

Yeah, its bug season, so that means $$$, $$$, and more $$$. Watch those trees, but don't neglect the fish! If there's demand, I'll keep my gate open at night, so you can get your bug-on. That's what Smash_bro did.

The porcupine saga continues as even the villagers are weighing in on the situation... Maybe I should hit up Gracie's again.

I just sold it to get $$$!

A rule of thumb is that if its the first time you catch something, donate it to the museum. You can sell the 2nd one later. Right now, your museum is a ghost town, which is boring to look at. But once you start donating, and time passes, your museum will look kick ass.

After many, many tries, I was able to get 4 good enough runs to get me a star.

I strung together 3 first places finishes, and a third place finish. I fell down once in Bowser's castle (Got knocked out in mid-air by a heavy weight) and squeaked by a surprisingly agile Toad at Rainbow Road. It was just enough for a one star rating!

The winning combo? Mii/Mach Bike. I attribute that little extra weight didn't get me knocked around. Other combos attempted was Funky/Flame Runner, Daisy Mach Bike, Rosalina/Flame Runner, Baby Daisy/Bullet Bike. I just put the Mii as kind of $#!$ it, what else can happen, and yet it worked.

With that taking up the last week or so, now I impatiently wait for The Conduit...

HEY! MEDIA! Leave those kids alone!

I hope the custody arrangements are quick and efficient. After that, the media needs to just #$#@ off and let those kids be.

If you can swing it this summer, I highly recommend it. I'm fortunate enough to have a local library that has a good selection of DVD rentals, so I go there and see movies free of charge. Saw the whole trilogy. No need for Blockbuster  8) [/off topic.]

It seems there's a little drama happening with the porcupines in my town. First the Able sisters are sighing, but won't talk to me about it. Then when I go Gracies, Labelle is sighing too. To conclude the sigh-fest, Gracie herself is in a slump; she wouldn't even rate my fashion ensemble! Something is amiss... ???

So I'm one circuit away from a achieving a one star to my name, but it seems that I have not discovered how precisely you are ranked. The last circuit  I need to do is the special circuit, mirror mode. I got 2 first places, and 2 second places, got over 50 points, yet my rank is still A.

What logic, if any are there to obtain the star rankings?

M'kay. If you want to send it or meet up, either way is fine with me.

Yes  I do have Exotic rug and wallpaper. So I'm cool on that, I should've been more specific. I'll refund the difference if you want.

The sad thing is it's going to get that way again in another week.

And from I heard, it was mentioned on the news how MJ's oldest son isn't really his, confirming suspicions that lots of us had a long time ago; He married that lady because he wanted a kid and she was already pregnant.

A paternity test can resolve all this. But no doubt, if it turned out to be true, they would keep it under wraps.

IIRC, it was in the Martin Bashir documentary when Bashir asked about whether MJ wanted his children to follow his footsteps, he said something along the lines that if they were to do that, to do it better than he did. Wow...

Personally, I think you'd be better off simply reinstalling Quake III Arena and possibly Team Arena.

Lost that CD a while ago...  :-[

Quote
still keep Quake3 installed for the Generations Arena mod if nothing else.

Awesome times. My favorite was the Doom trooper. I remember how they originally wanted to make an super-total conversion with the Quake 2 engine, where they had each id character (BJ from Wolfenstein 3d, Doom trooper, Quake 1 soldier and Quake 2) with their respective weapons, and the levels from Wolf3d Doom, and Quake 1. But that was a little too much for id, so they slapped them with the C&D...

I hope this acquasiton will work out. Bethesda will get a powerful engine, and id should get some fresh ideas. But please, no gun/tank/useless armor... :P

Been redecorating my 2nd floor with a theme so I can get more HRA points. Right now, I'm going with the Exotic theme. If anyone has the whole series let me know.  There will be some nice bellage involved...

When I first read it, it was celebrity gossip site TMZ via Yahoo. I thought it was just erroneous reporting, but one hour later the major  news outlets confirmed it, I was stunned. I couldn't move for 30 minutes straight.  :'(

My uncle saw the Jackson 5 back in the day, and was a MJ fan ever since. I remember as a kid how he'd play the Thriller and Bad records (yes, vinly records!), going through MJ's moves and choreography.  That passion was then passed on to me.

Though for a long time, I couldn't never sit through the Thriller music video until I was 12. That transformation sequence still gives me small jump.  :-\

What else needs to be said? When music videos were in their infancy, Jackson elevated them to an art form. MTV owes a lot to him, since one could say he was the first real video star.

I thought we were going to have this conversation in 2029 or so  :( But with his frail health, maybe that was just too unrealistic.

I highly doubt we'll see a giga-star like him in our lifetime. Music has become so fractured, that they are few, if any acts/bands/singers that the majority of people the world over can get behind. I guess this will be one of those 'in my day' speeches we'll give to our children and grandchildren.

Without the game in my possession yet, all I can tell you is practice, practice practice. That and fudge those controller settings until it feels like a second skin. Once I get the game, if you still need a training partner, hit me up. Won't be long now...

It's definitely a shame to see Id slowly spiral downward, but they haven't done a very good job of staying current over the past several years.

They've always been about pushing the tech since Wolfenstein 3d. I still remember to this day when I saw it being demo'ed at CompUSA when I was a kid. When Doom came out, my jaw just dropped. id does what Sega and Nintendon't  ;) (Seriously, the SNES/32x version of Doom? *shudder*...)

With the Quakes, they just kept pushing and pushing, though ironically, competitive players turned all the fancy effects off to get maximum frame rate. 8)

Now they push, but the differences are negligible, and until they reach the Uncanny Valley (which we'll get the 'WOW' factor like they did back in the day), they won't get many new gamers to sustain them. But I do hope they'll adapt to their new home.

QuakeLive is just one big advertisement with too many CPL "enhancements" running through it.

I've been meaning to try it one of these days, if nothing else, to see what's changed since 1996. That, and its one the few games my PC will run... :'(

You're an idiot if you think drinking Vitamin Water every day will make you healthy. It's just Kool-Aid with unnecessary nutrients, most of which don't absorb well without food.

Research/links to back up this claim?

I can't speak for all the flavors, but I know that guarana variety works as advertised. I can't take energy drinks save for that and Sobe. Both give me a slight energy spike, but without the crashing/rapid heart beat of a Red Bull.

Well, I hope people with a PSP will eat it up like we did. It was one hell of a ride. Next time I have a DS gaming drought, I'm going to continue the quest to get all those cameras. Its tough because it shows all the locations of the cameras in your area, despite the fact you already took them down. I figure I'll have a map on hand, while I slowly bomb those cameras to oblivion...

Maybe the PSP version will do true online multiplayer? Might as well use all that muscle.
