Nintendo Gaming / RE: Capcom Announces First Wii Game (by Inafune)
« on: January 25, 2007, 03:55:27 AM »
If capcom is working on a megaman game, I would love to see one on the lines of Megaman Legends and the Misadventures of Tronn Bonne for PS1.  Make the game an action rpg in a 3rd person view with wiimote aiming. That would rule.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: I gots way too many rupees!
« on: January 25, 2007, 03:47:23 AM »
I was pumped when I picked up the magic armour but when I found out that it just ate rupees I was really disapointed. Seems like a total waste of time to get.

I much prefer the SNES's superior graphics, games and sound but at least you could still rip a dude's head of in MK on genesis

Nintendo Gaming / RE: I tracker
« on: January 11, 2007, 09:44:50 AM »
Wow! According to itrackr the PS3 is 79% available, the Wii is 7% available and the DS Lite (polar white) is 3% available!  I had no idea that the DS would be harder to find than a Wii.  I would guess itrackr is not 100% accurate though.

I played the PS2 version and it was pretty sweet. The video showing how the controls work make this version look way better though. I like the wiisports boxing style fight controls. If the graphics are Xbox quality, this will be a must own Wii action game

Nintendo Gaming / RE: DS: Dead 'N' Furious: Trailer
« on: January 11, 2007, 02:21:51 AM »
I'm totally undecided on this game. From the original trailer when I thought it was an FPS I was pretty excited but now that I know it's a lightgun (or stylus in this case) game I don't think that I'm interested anymore.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Official Nintendo LAN Adapter: anyone?
« on: January 10, 2007, 11:08:14 AM »
hmmmm... I just tried to order it on the nintendo store website and it's letting me get up to the part where I enter my credit card number. It doesn't say anything about being backordered.  On the description screen it still shows "shipping early January 2007".  Somebody who is actually going to buy one online should try it. I'm going to wait for it in the store.

I just replaced my batteries yesterday for the second time since launch. Pretty good battery life I would say

Too bad it's received such poor reviews though. I might pick it up after a MAJOR price drop... and after I'm actually able to get my hands on a Wii in the first place.

Anyway, thanks for the videos! They're really great.

The singple player experience is awesome. Most of the mini games aren't great but not bad.  If you liked the previous monkeyballs (yeah I said it) for the single player experience, Banana Blitz won't disappoint.

Even when I played the game about a year ago on a c64 emulator, I had a hard time figuring out the puzzles.  It was really tough.

See the images below for c64 vs. wii

The graphics are quite a bit better!

Nintendo Gaming / RE: N DS and GBA Link Cable

yeah I guess I shouldn't complain too much.  I probably won't play the DS with anybody locally anyway as I don't know anybody else who owns one.

Sorry to bump this topic but has the link ability for the GBA games on the DS changed? This is really annoying. You'd think nintendo would have built in a virtual wifi link cable for GBA on the DS or something.

I played a ton of scorched earth back in the day. I still play a game that's very similar to SE called Pocket Tanks. Google it for a demo, you won't be disappointed.

me and the wife still play mario party 7 all the time. I can't wait for MP8.

I'll reserve judgement until I actually play the game. I have a mission to beat Zelda before I buy or rent anymore games.  I'm 40 hours in and just about to get to the sky temple.  I'm really pumped for SSG though. I'll probably rent it as I think Tiger Woods 2k8 will be the golf game to own next year.

That game was sooooo awesome on c64.  I played it again recently on an emulator and it's still freakin awesome.  If you want a hard game, this is the game for you.  I could never beat it on the c64 and I only beat it on the emulator because I could "save state" at the start of a room and restore the state if I died.  If they bring other c64 classics like Jumpman and Bruce Lee I will be extatic!

No.  As of right now the system's operating system does not use the USB port for anything.  Power does flow through it, so it will charge the iPod, but it doesn't check any devices attached to it.

I thought some dude got a USB ethernet adapter working on it??

I had an internal zip drive back in the day...

The first computer that I bought for myself was back in 1998 (right after windows 98 came out)

Pentium 2 400mhz
128mb RAM (64 was the norm then and the 128 cost me $250)
2 speed CD-RW ($400)
20 gig HD

I don't even remember the rest of the specs but I think it cost me something like $3000

I also bought a 1.2 megapixel Olympus digital camera with an 8mb memory card for $600.

the entire albums...

Children of Bodom: Stockholm Knockout Live
Mastodon: Blood Mountain

I don't actually own ET but if I did I would listen to the above tunes while playing it.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Brothers in arms coming to the wii!
« on: January 05, 2007, 02:21:23 AM »
The team aspect of Brothers In Arms just doesn't appeal to me. I would rather play an FPS with a team of bots where it doesn't matter if they die. Kinda like in Half Life 2.  The teams in BIA need to be babysat.

I think they should let the Klonoa team make a sonic game. Klonoa 2 for PS2 was one of the best platform games I ever played.
