I expect at least a 2x/4x speed up option like in FFXII. That should help, right?

LOL. You guys are raining on my excitement. I'll do some research. Maybe I'll wait until the game is $20.

I get it. Hype and whatnot. My thoughts on announcing games (especially Zelda which ALWAYS gets delayed) is well known. I hope Nintendo does something new like let us play as Zelda or have Zelda join the adventure and maybe even switch between Link and Zelda on the fly.

I recall Miyamoto saying a while back that a past Zelda was supposed to have a party system. Maybe do something like that?

Well, that Fighter Pass has been well worth it so far.

At the very least I hope they improve some of the pain points from the first game.
What didn’t you like?

I’m more disappointed Nintendo even mentioned it and with a cutscene (not gameplay) to boot. If it doesn’t launch next year at the latest (doubt it will), I don’t need to know. Nintendo’s history of delaying console Zelda games is well known. Wii U was dragging itself around when Nintendo dropped Breath of the Wild footage. Switch is doing extremely well. Does Nintendo need the boost? Ending with Banjo-Kazooie in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate would have been perfect.

I got the impression that maybe Zelda travels with Link, but I have a feeling she gets fridged or otherwise incapacitated/kidnapped right after that scene because Nintendo. Also, I wonder if the game takes places entirely or partially in Hyrule. One of my low-key favorite things about Breath of the Wild was seeing inaccessible lands in the distance. What’s that about? I was hoping a sequel would address that.

Edit: what if that monster/villain Zelda and Link presumably awaken is so powerful that it changes the entire landscape of Hyrule with magic or some other such macguffin? That would be an interesting way to make Hyrule feel new. I’d still like to see outside of Hyrule.

I wish it was Saga, but I feel like Sega will never touch that game again. It lost the source code. How does that even...

Holy shiz... Banjo-Kazooie in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Are we getting a Nintendo 64 Classic edition with Rare games? Was this part of the deal?

Yes, more of this. I hope we get remastered versions of the first two games on Switch.

Ugh, gawd, yes. I tried playing Seiken Densetsu 3 several years ago, and I couldn't get into it. I felt like I would have had more fun if I played it in the 90s as intended because despite how well the graphics held up, the controls felt stiff, just some quality of life stuff.

Kevin Durant potentially injuring his Achilles was a concern that was discussed on ESPN’s Hoop Collective podcast before Game 5. After practice, Brian Windhorst saw him with ice on his calf and Achilles. Clearly, Durant loves playing basketball, but someone in the Warriors organization should have put their foot down and forced him not to play.

It’s a shame. Analysts and armchair GMs would have questioned his toughness had he not played. After getting injured, I bet they’re waxing about how he should have been more careful etc. etc.

Congratulations. You'll finally get to play the 2nd-worst Final Fantasy game (behind FF2)!
I’m aware Squall is apparently a jerkass, and the Junction System is polarizing. I still want to play it, mostly out of principle. I only had enough money for one game back so I chose Final Fantasy VII (Greatest Hits version, ew). Sans-spoilers, why do you think it’s so bad?

Final Fantasy VIII finally getting remastered. I’m in. It’s the only original PlayStation Final Fantasy I didn’t play.

Final Fantasy VII remakes looks good. Tifa is significantly more modestly endowed. Looks like she’ll have to rely on her personality now...

People are freaking out about how the remake is apparently being released as two parts, the first being Midgar which Square Enix is significantly expanding. Makes sense. It was a whole city you didn’t see that much of.

You’re asking the wrong person. There was a bunch of big budget stuff, nice graphics, a lot of guns etc. I saw the Pokémon trailer last week, and I thought, maybe I’ll try a Pokémon game for the first time in two decades. If you’re Microsoft’s target audience, I imagine you’ll be happy.

The entire last segment was about Project Scarlett. Vaguely went over how powerful it will be (4x Xbox One X) and some other things like GDDR6 RAM and an SSD. Then, Halo infinite.

The conference itself was well organized, focused. There’s a reason I don’t own an Xbox One though. The games aren’t for me.

@broodwars, thanks for your response. HOAs do sound like the worst.

I didn’t care about most of the games Microsoft showed. That isn’t an indictment of the E3 Briefing. A lot of them seemed like heavy hitters that just aren’t in my wheelhouse of like eight IPs/four genres I just regularly buy. I really liked that Microsoft focused on games. A few people got on stage to talk for a little bit. Otherwise, it was basically game after game after game which I appreciated despite being a non-press, non-investor person watching the stream at home because I didn’t have better, more interesting plans.

There was no Miyamoto.

Otherwise, the Xbox E3 briefing was not bad. Talking was kept to a minimum; Microsoft mostly just played clip after clip of like 60 games.

There’s a rumor Miyamoto will appear on stage at the Microsoft E3 briefing. No context given. Watching now, will believe it when I see it.

Okay, so you dropped some vague statements that’s i’m curious about:

1. What’s going on with the lawn work? Is it your lawn? Are you in landscaping?

2. Why don’t you have a podcast anymore? Do you ever plan on starting a new one?
