It's kinda like Zelda only a sidescroller instead of a top-down view.

That's right I played Q3, that was "the arena" right? If so I hated that game.Yes, it was called Quake 3 Arena with an expansion called Team Arena.
I'm trying *not* to get excited about this game, because I will most likely be disappointed. The "level" descriptions and vehicles leave me thinking this will be closer in game design to Wario Land 4 than 2 or 3.... Though any Wario Land game should be welcome after Master of Disguise (bleh)Is 4 more like 1? I liked the first Wario Land better than the more puzzly sequel.
Mech Warrior 2- I loved this game but never could run it on my old set up, my new computer theoretically should do fine but for some reason gives me some stupid error and won't play the game so I gave up.2 is really really old. I don't remember if they even ever made a Windows version. 3 is much more likely to run on a moden computer (it works on my computer running XP) and has a similar overall feel to 2. 4 is a little more arcadey, though.
Since i have established Quake 4 is not likely to run, I am going to check out Quake 3 and hope for the best with Doom 3.Quake 3 isn't a single-player game like Q and Q2 were. Also, id's gonna be releasing it as a free browser-based game one of these days anyway.
So what? I'm the only one who plays Wii games in my household. That means every time I rate a game I'll be suggesting that it's best suited for a 21 year old male, regardless of what age/gender the game is really best suited for. That makes my vote fairly meaningless. In that regard, the quality of each household's vote is proportional to the variety of players in that household.Which are fairly meaningless questions unless the full spectrum of ages of both genders are represented in your household.
Not really, they're collecting data from many households and combining them.
Oh sure, watching a hideously ugly pig-man suck bugs up his nose is totally fap-worthy.I just found an old quote of Ancel that I had saved 'cause I liked it:
"The number of polygons does not make you laugh or cry."
I guess he changed his mind.
Maybe he hasn't changed his mind. Maybe he's discovered that the number of polygons helps hardcore gamers fap. Maybe that's where they hope to make their sales.
2.5D sucks.You did not just insult Klonoa!
But I'm not so keen on "waggle" controls. That will be the 2.5D ten years from now; the outdated "fad" game design that ironically makes useful new technology look like a dumb joke. Sega CD FMV games are another example. The DS has been at a point now where forced touchscreen usage has become rare. These days when someone makes a good game on the DS where touchscreen usage doesn't make sense they don't use it and we get a better product as a result. It's not like every SNES game used the L&R buttons.Waggle for the sake of waggle is bad. But shaking the controller to shake enemies down for cash seems pretty reasonable to me (smells like Mischief Makers, which was awesome). With any luck the rest of the waggle controls will be equally reasonable.
I HATE YOUWhat'd I do? D;
