General Gaming / RE: GTA III To be Released in Japan.

Depends on how they look at it.  It is sort of a bunch of mini-games in a city-scape with a gangster set-up.  If they look at it like this, then it might do well, Mario Partys always have.  If it is seen as an open ended beat-em-up, then get the ear plugs, that is a big bomb...

I saw them a year ago, they were alright, kind of annoyed me.  Flogging Molly shows are some of the best I have seen.

It gets you free software.  This is theft, there is no coating it.  People want free stuff, people get free stuff.

Just run a switch in the way you have your A/Vs into the modulator for the GCN.  Switches are like 20 bucks or less depending on how good.  Mine was 10, but they stopped making them.

General Gaming / RE: Sony announces... the PSX!?
« on: June 16, 2003, 12:01:07 PM »
People who like $ony and Micro$oft are stupid, there fore they will NOT by the PSX and it will fail!!!  All those people who bought PSX(1)s and PS2s are going to stay at home and play their GBAs.  No one likes $ony.  They all like sports games and racing games and fighting games, because they are all stupid and not buying the PSX.

An argument which is the perfection of logic.

General Chat / RE: nVidia vs ATI

I could live w/o the 8500s "optimization" of Q3.  My fiends GeForce 2 plays Quake 3 flawlessly.  Did they really need insane framerates?  I am all for their newer chips, but with the driver issues they have had as well as Quack, ATI isn't a little angel.

The SNES also had more buttons.  I own both systems and have for a long time.  My SNES has seen MUCH more play than the Genesis.

I one killed a man with a GCN in a dream.  That was kinda neat.  Course 2 day ago I managed to die in my own dream.  For a wihile I watched the dream from outside, then I lost all my senses.  Very strange to wake up from that.

Was a good run, at least it wasn't like the DC.  Hopefuly the GCN is harder than that.

I have had some issues with nVidia since they messed with the ATI drivers in linux...  I am running a 9000 pro right now and see no real reason to upgrade at this point, though I might in the next few months to a 9500 pro to help out a friend by giving him my card.  ATI and nVidia have both beater before, anyone remember quack 3?  I also find these insanely powerful cards to be a waste of money.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Cube ONLINE!!!!!!!!!!

I'd be suprised to see much internet gaming from Nintendo, though wasn't AC2 supposed to be online?  I am glad Nintendo seems adamant on making you only pay for the game, since I can't afford to pat to play, even though it is worth the cost.

Just kidding, would be great, but I have enough games to spend my money on presently, stop the barrage!

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Why don't Nintendo fans like Fighting Games?
« on: May 25, 2003, 12:20:11 PM »
I enjoy fighting games a great deal.  I have played all Mks since 1, most of the zillions of street fighters and many of the DC fighting games.  I generally buy one or two sports games per system, depending on how often they bring something.  I generally also only play arcadey sports games, same with racing games.  The Rush games were a staple in my collection, as well as the NFS games.  I still play SWE1:Racer and Rush 2.

When HL was released, I thought it was increadible, but the mods really were the life blood of the game.  Can't wait to see the mods that come out of HL2.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Side Scrolling Mario!!
« on: May 23, 2003, 12:27:33 PM »
SMS gave you quite a bit of freedom, much like Mario 64. SMS was quite similar to Mario 64, but definatly harder in my book.  The game was good, but I never ended up finishing it, got 59 shines or something.

A 2d Mario would be great, those levels were fun, but it would need to come with a stress ball...they were very frustrating.   Always gave you a life too, so you had no reason to quit.  Evil Nintendo.

Ooo, a scroll bar, pretty....

It was a fun little article that made light of a few points that people have said, that is all.  No one is better or worse.  The length of his post really doesn't matter, because you have a scroll bar.

Always good to hear someone genuinly appreciating a game for what it is.  Good to see past hard feelings forgotten so you can have fun.  This is why I love nintendo, they always have at least one game that can do this.

Nintendo Gaming / New Bundle better than price drop
« on: May 16, 2003, 10:34:04 AM »
This looks like an excellent deal.  The GBA player pack-in is genious.  People who might not have bought a GBA now have a reason to buy its games.  It also doesn't make the GCN look like a crappy bargain console.  Luckily I bough a GBA at launch, since I already own a GCN too..
