General Gaming / RE:psp specs revealed

The problem comes with the fact that many houses around here are not very new.  Most outlets are taken up.  I spend a lot of time at a friends house, and if I am playing there, I am unable to take his outlets up.  It is a somewhat unique situation, but still...lower batt life makes it harder to play these games.

Also, those peak ppm are probably like the PS2s: flat, shaded and all the same shape.

Thanks for that link, I just picked up TS2 for 14.99 at toy works.  Damn good game.

But, it didn't, so who cares.  None of the consoles' launches have been that good.  Oh well, we are past launch.  We are all getting decent games to buy, be happy.

There is a useless post, nothing quite like a useless peson.

Oh well, GameRankings.com isn't the site of choice for that reason.  WW is still a great game, and it is Zelda, anyone who is going to buy it, generaly already knows it.

If you can't find the option to disable the onboard vid, you are pretty well out of luck.  Find if on the board somewhere online.  Should be in some sort of peripherals catagory.

I never claimed to know 100%.  I don't even know 100% of myself.  But really, it's the bullshit that defines us in a way.

This is true, since who I am is only defined for you by how I act towards you on this forum.  The feelings or thoughts that I keep to myself are useless and meaningless in this forum.  We know each other only based on what we say here, anything else is meaningless.  So, it's not really bullshit that defines us, but the amount of bullshit and actualy sincere comments we make.

To some of the other posts:
Having parents that do a lot for you is nothing to be ashamed of.  My parents are relativly hands-off.  I do my laundry, make my food, drive myself around, buy my own things, and pretty well plan my own life.  I am given assistance where I need it, taxes, college loans, applying for college and the like.  But were I less independant and they more hands-on, then I wouldn't be less of a person.  I like to do things for myself if I can.  If not, it is useless to attempt to do things that I cannot when someone perfectly capable can.  I am in no rush to leave and "be on my own".  But I don't plan on living here beyond college summers once I am off.  Who cares if my parents helped me more or less, and who cares if some  of you guys have parents who help you more or less.  It is just stupid to tell someone more capable than you are(in most cases) to not help.

Honestly, you get dropped in a mental ward for all kinds of reasons.  My own brother was because he was simply depressed and had been doing something dangerous and gotten hurt.  Did he try to commit suicide?  No.  Did he want to be there?  No.  But, if someone offers you a free ride, many take it.  The kid likely gets all kind of attention now, heh, and an iPod likely costs and much as the freaking ward.  I choose to dress differently than most people, I spike my hair and such, and some don't like it, I never minded.  I just like the way it looks and it acts as a little ice breaker, but anyway, my parents, more my mother, take offence to ANY comments on it.  Whether they are good or bad, she freaks out.  I don't even go anywhere with her anymore because of it.  His parents may also have played a role.  Who knows when it is just written up and reported.

Battery life has always been a big thing for me.  When I play a system, I really like to play for a long time, pretty much all day.  I go in spurts of playing my GBA non-stop, at least when I could afford games/pc parts/and GCN games.  The GBA allowed me to do this.  The PSP doesn't seem to.  Now, if the battery had a high speed way of recharging, i.e. an hour or so then it was ready for a nice long play, then perhaps I would still invest.   Which, by 2004, perhaps that will happen, who knows...

I thought you only got that package from Nintendo on your first town on those mem cards that came with it.  But if you just get a game, you drop that and can play it.  I also have an empty NES, but haven't used it yet.  Such a great game.

I would pay 30, the sonic games were a lot of fun.  Side Pocket was a great little pool game too.

I found Turok:evolution for 9.99 EB and madden 2002 for 4.99 at best buy.  Turok may not be great, but I found it more than worth the 9.99 I paid for it.

If done right, the chances are small that you will have a problem with water cooling.

Linux is hard if you want it good.  If you want it to run like windows, you gotta do some work.  By some, I mean a ton.  Linux is hard.  I used mandrake, hated it, then used slack.  I love slack, but it took a while to learn, and I am a total nerd.  ATI drivers suck for linux as well, btw.  Unless you want big name FPSs or a few other big name titles, support sucks too.  I use it still, and enjoy it, but the support is nothing to windows.   I spend most time in windows now, I found that anti-MS was a pretty dumb reason to use and OS with such terrible support, no matter how much I liked it or not.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Teenage Mutant Ninga Turtles being co-op
« on: July 19, 2003, 11:32:03 AM »
Actually, 4 big turtles walking around would likely annoy me.  the SSBM and FF:CC characters are very small.  That makes it easy to fit 4 on screen.  The Turtles are not small, the enemies are not small, and it is a beat-em-up, meaning that there will likely be a whole bunch of characters rather than just 4 (SSBM).   What I wonder is if there will be an option to turn on "friendly fire" like in the old games, where you could also hit your friends.  That was a lot of fun and gave an extra challange.

I think these look neat, but I'd rather stick the money towards a new game.  Besides, I like my unique little indigo cube.  Apparently the color is "homo-erotic" a word I will never tire of.
