Plays gorgeous on my rig.  A64 3000+, 1024 pc3200 Geil Value RAM, 9800 pro A 417/366.  I really enjoy the game so far too.  The scripted events are very well done.  I have read critisism of the flashlight usage, but I find that it really adds to the tense gameplay.

Circle pits are by far my favorite pits.  Hard to keep them sometimes though.

"1.  Get off your seat
2.  Stomp your boots to the beat
3.  Throw you knees in the air
4.  Like you don't caaaare"

That is about as close as you need to follow.  Everyone has their own little style.  I love seeing people with a different style from my.

There is a lot of Bosstones that is never played on the radio.  I enjoy them a lot, but I woudn't say anything they put out was the best ever.

It is true that ska tends to be very gimmiky, that is because ska is meant to be fun.

"We don't you slammin in the pit, NO..."Skankin's meant for fun, not for gettin hurt!"

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Metroid Prime 2!!...2!...2......
« on: July 25, 2004, 08:22:52 PM »
No multiplayer was a complaint about MP1, so they addressed this.  I see no point in it, but I do like it when companies listen to fans.

"BUT like hinted at above, I don't get how it will work? Prime doesn't have "normal" FPS controls unfortuently. It's based on a 'lock-on' system. How much fun can deathmatch be when you can lock onto someone and kill them without even trying? Well.... we'll see I guess. "

Thing is, all of the weapons in metroid are delayed, you can do the dodge move, so there is still skill involved, just as much as when you fight a boss.  I doubt Retro will let this out with a problem like that dogging it down.

Saw Streetlight on Monday, it was an amazing show.  The energy that band put into the crowd was increadible.  I will remember that show for a long time.  And the shiner I got from that forearm...  Ahh well, it's all good, the crowd was friendly and energetic, the band was one of the happiest I have seen.

What are you on pain pills for there syl?

I have yet to find a 3rd party controller that I liked as much as a first party controller since my old SNES trubo pad.  I can't even remember who made it now, I remember it being bigger and clear, but setup identical, making it quite comftorble.  It got stepped on.

The developers will still rush games, this just means they can rush them even faster and easier.

ASOB is quite a funny band live.  Labeling a band a genre is retarded.  A band can experiment in different genres.  Who cares if the Clash played more than one genre, doesn't make the styles the same.  I am speaking in mysical style.  As far as I am concerned a punk is a mystical creature than we all speculate about.  I spiked and colored my hair for some time, combined with my varying style in clothes I was told I was punk.  When I stopped doing that I was told I no longer was.  Then I did it again and so on.  All in all I have listened to about 4 or 5 punk groups regularly, so I never really saw the point of the labeling.  For some reason it seemed to make people happy to label me that way.

Going to a show soon.  Anyone who likes them, check out bandits of the acoustic revolution.  I went to 2 or 3 catch 22 shows.  They are boring, probably the most boring band I have ever seen.  After KN, they just died to me.  For me right now it's:

Mustard Plug
Old C-22
Streetlight
BOTAR
LTJ
RBF
Aquabats
limited Sucide Machines
Mad Caddies

Gotta love ska.

General Gaming / RE: I know there is a stronghatred for the ps2 here
« on: July 05, 2004, 08:12:27 AM »
Eh, I enjoy a few games on ps2.  I have actually always liked the controller for the types of games I play.  I love the d-pad and shoulder button design.  I am sure some think I am insane, but next to the melty feel of the GCN controller, I place the psx game pad.  I even bought the logitech controller just like it for pc for my racing games and such.

General Gaming / RE: Burnt out on gaming and how many bought games?
« on: July 05, 2004, 08:04:15 AM »
For a while I had a mentality of getting as many games as possible so last me for a long time if I ran into a time when buying games wasn't an option.  That has left with with around 90 games to complete across 10 or so systems + my PC games.  I generally am either playing lots of PC games or lots of console games.  In a PC kick right now, but I expect to go back to console soon.  I find this keeps things fresh for me, even if it takes me a long time to finish my games.

On another note, I see a lot of these threads poping up lately, IE, sick of games, sick of this companies games etc, perhaps we should all get a little time outside playing a game or two that involves movement?

Renting is a commercial that rental outlets pay for, then we pay them back then some.

I never rent becuase I jump between games for a looooong time, taking a very long time to beat them if ever.

I have been curious of the interface, mind snapping a screen, as long as there isn't anything you don't want anyone to see in there.
