Nintendo Gaming / Will Virtua Cop 3 Come to Wii?
« on: June 25, 2007, 09:58:47 AM »
Just wondering if anyone had any insight and if I was the only one who'd been living under a rock and didn't know about this game's existence. But it was a huge surprise to me nontheless when I played it in the arcade yesterday. I seriously hadn't ever heard of a Virtua Cop 3 and its been a dream of mine for years. Did I miss something. Oh and also, I got some hands on experience of House of the Dead 4. And compared to Virtua Cop 3. IT STINKS AND I HATE IT. LOL. I'll go more into why in a later post. I'm posting this from my Wii since my laptops in for repair and the Virtual keyboard is MURDER! Everyone get back to me soon. Seriously I saw the cabinet and had to a mental check like 5 times to make sure what I was seein' lol.

Peace Out.

Nintendo Gaming / Wiimote Speaker Pre-Lag
« on: June 08, 2007, 07:31:20 AM »
I wasn't Sure where to ask this but I thought this would be the best place.

I just wanted to check the timing of everyone elses wii mote speakers to situations on the Wii.

I just bought a new TV and the timing of the Wii mote speaker noises are completely different on this TV to the other. So which TV was right and which was wrong, and which timing situation is right and which is wrong?

On the internet channel: Highlight a clickable object, my wiimote speker clicks first, a split second later my tv's speaker clicks. On my old tv, both clicked in unison.

Its not just with the internet channel, although this is my best example, this also happened on Wii sports and Excite Truck, it seems the mote is ahead of the games. Although in Wii sports this does sound better in a way and more 'depth of soundy' So I was wondering. Which is right? Are the sounds on screen meant to be in sync with your remote or is your mote meant to be a little ahead? Please help. I'm just a little confused as its only happened with this TV. Thanks.

General Gaming / I need help!!!
« on: January 18, 2007, 04:44:55 AM »
Hi

Just bought a Toshiba 42" LCD  TV. I was really excited to finally being able to view my games in 480p resolution. To see what they looked like. I went out and bought the component cables.

The Wii is connected to my tv with the component cables. But when running in 480p, it looks totally IDENTICAL to when the system is running at 60hz, or even 50hz!!!

Does anyone know why this is? Can anyone help? Thanks.

General Gaming / Little windows tech questrion
« on: June 10, 2006, 08:14:01 AM »
Hi,

I think this came with a 'windows update' A very annoying  feature. When i click to activate something (eg a flash video) I have to click the actual screen of the video/window/menu before I can use it. And it says "click to use and activate this control" ok its only one extra click but its really annoying, when you're at a forums etc. Anyone know how to switch it off? Thanks.

Nintendo Gaming / Wii's Last Secret
« on: May 11, 2006, 09:40:45 AM »
I feel really stupid for asking coz i'm sure the whole world knows now. But I wanted someone to tell what was 'Wii's final secret'. There was so much talk about how they revealed the controller, then the name, and the best was yet to come and would be announced at E3. I couldnt find anything here and ive looked around only to find talk on controls for a madden game using the Nunchuck. Can anyone help? thanks.

Nintendo Gaming / aaaand wheeeeeeeeeee!!!
« on: April 28, 2006, 05:46:02 AM »
I just heard on the radio this morning that Nintendo have unveiled the name for the next generation console currently codenamed the 'Revolution'

The console is to be named Wii (Pronounced WEE!!!)

I haven't checked the official site yet. I wanted to come here first to report the news. My first thought when I heard was
"What the HELL?!"

Have nintendo gone mad? Not only is the controller incredibly bold. But they must have some real guts naming the console 'Wii'

I don't even think 'Microsoft' have the power or the phasazz to pull off 'Wii' let alone Nintendo.

Imagine telling people in the future that you play with your own 'Wii' :-S lol

Lets put it this way, if they choose to call their console this, it had better be someting very, VERY special.

apologies for posting here, should have gone in the Wii section.

Nintendo Gaming / Gamecube Trouble
« on: April 21, 2006, 09:40:00 AM »
Hi, I'm brand new to gamecube forums. I've had a gamecube for about a year and a half. I just joined here for some help, I'm having trouble with my gamecube and its one of the weirdest things i've ever seen.

I switched on my gamecube and was told my clock settings had been lost (and it had somehow put my clock forward about 6 years!)

Next, since my Gamecube is Pal, in most of my games i'm given the 50hz/60hz option. But for some reason i'm not given this choice anymore when my games load up! it just goes straight to reading the memory card then starting the games.

I thought the clock part could be down to a dead lithium battery but when i took a look at the cube I couldnt find a place in which a battery might be stored.

Can anyone help. I feel a bit robbed having to play my games 20% slower and with a slightly lower resolution. Many thanks for any help!

Dan.
