Nintendo Gaming / RE:wtf is happening to the DS????
« on: April 01, 2005, 10:36:51 PM »
unclebob: "Second, personally, I don't care of the PSP has 100 games to every one DS game, as long as the DS has the quality games - which (for the most part) - I feel that the DS has the advantage on that right now. But again, does the general public know that? "

Really? Because the PSP has several top notch games right now, and they aren't even ports. I see the DS having the quality games later on. But not right now. Right now the games all feel incomplete/not innovative/too short. It's weird that people were shooting down the PSP as being a system that's basically for portable PS2 games, but it has no ports and the DS already has 2.

I might buy this for WarioWare so people I show it to can play from the beginning without my having to lose all my stuff.

Nintendo Gaming / Big spending in April

Polarium, Need for Speed Underground 2, Pac-Pix, Puyo Pop Fever, and Meteos all are coming out in April. Finally a good amount of GOOD games. 3 of which use the touch screen very well. I hope Polarium is budget priced. Meteos is really fun. I've been playing this really stipped down flash version and it's still great. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a link though. Am I?

well i was talking about the dogs in the game. It would probably try to mimic real life dogs as much as possible in their skill sets, and I wanted to know which dog would be the best for it right out of the box. Basically i want to find out which version of Nintendogs i should get.

let's hope that since Gamespy has a lot of experience in the industry, the interface of whatever they're going to do will be easy, quick, and accesible.

watching movies from a memory stick is a pretty good idea. You can't say that it's not. What isnt a good idea is the selling of UMD movies by themselves. Downloading movies or TV shows and watching them on a handheld is really great (and affordable). My GBA Movie Player makes me wonder why anybody would buy the GBA video's. But the thing I have, and the play-yan will have u buy extra things to convert files to a card. The USB connects right to the PSP i think.

Sgt. Shivers: I haven't met anyone who thought the PSP would play PS2 games and anyone who does should really evaluate their life and consider the fact of how stupid they are. : )

the GBA forums were pretty much dead anyways. But how come the GameCube forum isn't titled Nintendo GameCube? Or was it always like that? It looks so threadbare. Well anyways, great job in organizing all of the forums.

No, your dog can't die. Also, I think the game is focuse more on the training of the dog aspect, than the taking care of it. Also it probably won't have the internal clock thing.

because you'd have to talk right into the mic on your DS. It won't come out clearly unless you talk loudly from far away. You don't necessarily need the headphones part, but it's nice to have.

Argg. So many of those stupid people have been coming in lately with claims of "Free" DS's or whatever. Is it annoying or fun to ban them? I really like how you guys change the title of their posts. Great job!

I had a great idea. For the giving the dogs a bath part of the game, they should have some dogs be tempermental at first, and try to jump out of the tub and u have to prevent him from doing that. Eventually the dog would become more obediant.

I really love how the dogs look by the way. They move very fluidly and have life-like animations. I really like how they interact with you and lean against the screen sort of. What's your favorite dog type? My favorite is the shiba or beagle.

No highly-successful precident has ever been set for that practice, and the gracious Nintendo would never pertain itself to such an unscrupulous act.

Yeah. They would never trick people into buying two copies of the same game. Especially Pokemon.

Hehe, well I'm really glad they decided on having all the dogs on one game. People wouldn't buy multiple copies, and this way, people can start out with their own experience. I wanna get the green colored box version. That dog is so cool!

I think Zelda is gonna be playable at E3.

From Penny Arcade Interview
Reggie: It's rich, I've played it, I've only played parts of it because it's obviously still in development but it's going to be huge.

So I guess it's been in development long enough for there to be something to play currently. They still have 2 more months.

Man, I am so glad they got rid of the "Puppy Times" title. Well I think the game is looking like its going to come out pretty well. I thought for awhile that you were just going to stay in one room and train your dog and play with it all day. I hope they add the ability for super-powers. A Krypto would be the best. And machine guns. Definetly machine guns. And I can't spell definatly. So yeah, come post your messages in here.
