I've only ever been into a few select racers but thinking back to how fun it was to race around a city in games like GTA, Scarface or even True Crime: NYC - I think it might be time I get at least one dedicated racer.

New controller leaked, maybe.
They forgot to mention the main feature.

Concave sticks.

Oooh that IS impressive.. no, that wasn't sarcasm. Neither was this. 100% serious post.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu....

This is really tempting me into finally getting a 3DSXL... The thought of either Super Mario 3D land or Star Fox 64 for free is not only extremely enticing but a tad bit confusing; which the hell one do I choose!

If I pick up a 3DS I want to pick up OoT with it; I would of skipped it until much much later in it's lifetime (and with how I use my handhelds, most likely when the 3DS successor has already come out..) but the announcement of Wind Waker HD kind of makes me want to replay OoT with the graphics overhaul, which so far I've only seen in screens, not in motion, to get me ready for WWHD. It just seems logical to me, but at the same time the thought of wanting to play a remake of a game I've already played makes me think I should probably pass on SF64 and go for Mario Land instead; new content vs old content right? Fair balance of "launch" games to start me off before I start exploring all the new games I've missed (kid icarus!).

Or I could skip zelda, get Super Mario 3D Land and choose SF64 for free.. That way my play style would be - New game for the majority of my time, but when I'm in the mood for a quick fix instead of a steady play through, I could whipe out my arwing since it lends itself to quick plays (I'm assuming it has a save state? how long does the 3ds last in standby anyway..?).

Or I could be an adult, tell myself I have too many games and too little time as is and skip out on the promotion but mask my rationality with "I'm just waiting for the eventual revision" because, you know, making adult choices suck.

You played through that whole game with the horizontal Wii remote controls? Holy ****. That is honestly one of the most impressive gaming feats I've seen posted on these forums.

wait you're serious, you can use the nunchuck??? I wouldn't dare, D-pad for platformers bro, old school!

edit: I played through the main game but not the bonus the reversed levels, well I played a couple but not to completion but yes, just wiimote style.

Wimps. Waggle rolling was a breeze and didn't affect my game-play skills at all.

Wimp, hell no lol, i do not mind the waggle at all, its just that damn Z button :(

Z? Do you mean B? Unless you can play the game with the nunchuck, which I didn't do and didn't know you could do..

I watched the Nintendo Direct and when Reggie was describing the game he reminded me how layered the games visuals are. I think this game was meant for 3DS. If I had one, I might just double dip..

Damn, even Iwata can't get a decent looking Luigi hat? It looks like that shitty Halloween costume you see frat boys wear.

Very much looking forward to this one. Can't wait for the delay announcement so I can pick this one up in late October  ;)

Oh geez don't even joke about something like that >_<

I'm pretty sure Kai is incapable of hating anything.

He we started naming things he should hate, he'd retort with some sort of positive remark.
'Despite the gameplay, I loved it."
"the cover art is whimsical!"

Awww! It's great to have fans! You guys are the best!

In fact, I felt inspired to go back and look at some of my past reviews and relive my glory days. For instance, have you ever read my write-ups of Anne's Doll Studio:Tokyo Collection or Indianapolis 500 Legends?

And for the record, I think Funky Barn is grossly under-appreciated. If I had my way, that unique, laid-back, wacky, casual farm-automation simulation would have the solid 6.5 it deserves.

If Nintendo starts letting you gift games again, I'd try it if it showed up on my Wii U *wink*wink*

I think this will be the first retail release that I download instead. I can see myself playing it, I just don't see myself picking it off the shelf of games, ya know what I mean? Among the other games I'm currently playing, this would be at the bottom of the pile. However, if it's just sitting there on the Home screen, I can see myself choosing it over whatever I had loaded in the disk slot, just for change of pace.

Does that make sense?

The game finished its just a piece of ****. Apparently gearbox showed us and Sega gameplay that wasn't true to the real game as they outsourced it. Right now it looks like they strung alone development for this to get money to fund borderlands.

Wonder if sega will decide too sue gearbox.

Sega is just another failed company like THQ who keeps making mistake after mistake. Its clear that Gearbox prioritize Borderlands 1&2 over the Alien game, while showing nice demos to keep people from giving up on the game in the first place. This is just another example of the countless lies developers fed Nintendo gamers just before the Wii U launch.

Well, that's genuinely disappointing.

Always online, locked out used games and mandatory Kinect. Microsoft can't be that stupid, can they? That's the kind of arrogance you saw from Sony leading into the PS3.

since Xbox became the new synonym for video game console, I'd say they've reached that point of arrogance like Sony and Nintendo before it. Let them learn their lesson.

Synonym for FPS, third person shooters and expensive online play.

with COD selling year after year the way it does, F/TPS and expensive online play are synonymous with video games too :P

Mandatory Kinect can go to hell. It makes sense to package it with every unit so it gets used. I just don't like the idea of a machine that is supposedly connected online all the time with a camera that needs to be plugged in to function. Always online + always on motion detecting camera sounds like a terrible idea. I don't want that in my living room. I don't want that in my bedroom. I do not like that in a house. I do not like that with a mouse. I do not like that here or there. I do not like Kinect. I do not like that Microsoft.

While it ended a little weak, I still nominate this as post of the year.

Also I should say great impressions Cai, I am actually looking forward to this game even though I have had little interest in Lego games so far.  It seems like you had a good time.  I'm a little worried my OCD completionism may be too much for this though....

I'm completely ignoring that part of his impressions so I can support this game. If I start thinking about it I'll NEVER buy it.

TJ TJ TJ... you're both right.

A. Nintendo should have the games tied to an account so **** like this doesn't happen.
B. (assuming this wasn't his first console ever and assuming he's at least heard of Nintendo's awesome customer service) He should of called them first.

Both parties are moronic when you look at it that way.

I've said it before and I'll say it again; this might just be the first LEGO game I'll ever purchase.

No pointer option?

That's the real downside, until it gets confirmed at least.
