I've seen this thread title in the past but never read through it, I'm so sorry you and your girl had to deal with that bullshit, BnM. The whole time I was reading it I felt my blood boil because I've been in shitty customer service situations; on both sides - and mind you when I was the CSR I would NEVER have handled it the way these people did. I've had some "oh **** I fucked up" moments too but I'd never just hang up on someone or try to stall THAT badly, and to lie to you after admitting they were wrong.. ugh it pisses me off.

It's stories like this that make me angry that incompetent people have jobs. Maybe I'm just too professorial for my own good, I've always been told I have a strong work ethic, but fuuuuuck it makes me RAGE when someone has a simple job and can't even fucking do it right. I can remember at least one time where I snapped at someone (as a customer, not a CSR) and asked "why are they even paying you when you can't do your job?". I felt bad that I had to blow up in their face but not at the comments I made. I'm a firm believer in quality customer service because I've been **** on so many times when I don't deserve it, and since I don't deserve that, the people shitting on me don't deserve my HARD EARNED fucking money.

PS where the hell is vudu!?

PS4

Wii U

Durango/Xbox 720....

Names suck these days.

Honestly, they've kind of always sucked. Revolution was at least a badass code name.

You are obviously forgetting about the Dreamcast, Sega Genesis, and the fiscally deplorable Jaguar.

You got me on Dreamcast, I actually did forget about it (sorry DC fans!) and it is a cool name, however I never liked the sound of Sega Genesis (Genesis made me think of the band of the same name, which a relative really liked, and while I'll admit I also forgot about Jaguar because I'd only ever heard of it once  back in the day (and never saw it in stores), still makes me think of the car. The same way I don't like how the World Wildlife Foundation will never be 'the real' WWF to me I guess (and I don't even like WWF).

I don't believe any of them are in-game until we actually get to play them. Look at the PS2 and PS3 reveals and you'll see why I feel that way. The PS2 event showed off graphics that the PS3 couldn't pull off.

That's how I've felt about game trailers since PS1 era since most of the ads I remember seeing were practically bullshots. If I saw a trailer that looked like this but played like this I'd feel pretty duped and a tad pissed.

So yeah, until I see the game in action, I'll reserve judgement.

Okay tech geeks, is the Wii U last gen hardware compared to the PS4?  That's what really matters here and that is probably the biggest factor in regards to what kind of support the Wii U will get.  The PS4 specs aren't speculation anymore so we should know the answer.

if that's all that matters.. you're doing 'gaming' wrong..

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Watch_Dogs officially announced for the Wii U
« on: February 21, 2013, 07:15:22 PM »
Booyah. One of my most anticipated games - now coming to Wii U. I just hope we get the version that's using the better assets (PC/PS4 version.. compared to the PS3/360 version.)

I'll bet we're getting the PS360 version, which to me doesn't mean much.  Better than not getting it but if I'm going to buy a new system for Watch Dogs, why would I get a Wii U if I could play a comparable version on the PS3 I already own?  The Wii U has to get the PC/PS4 version or it's last gen.  That would be the best test.

Nice to see Ubisoft not totally turn on the Wii U though after that whole Rayman thing.

assuming they give a **** I'm sure it could be done, as Stogi pointed out NFS is a great example.
If they're going to be lazy they'll just port the PS360 version and say "hey, see we give you games."

I'm still not that interested in this game but at least it's another Wii U game for Wii U owners who are interested.

Would Xenoblade be a good fit on the 3DS?

That might be easier to play but this game is so huge I'd prefer it on my big screen to be honest

as for waggles in platformers.. I'm really starting to think everyone here sucks at platformers or I'm just super excellent at them, because I've never once had a trouble with motion controls in either NSMBW (or WU) and DKCR. I played through some of the speed challenges too, both games, no problem.

In fact in any motion based Wii game, the only times I accidentally waggle when, for example, scratching my nose, is when.. well I was already in a safe zone and not in the middle of a game. So no, I've never triggered motion controls and had it ruin a game experience.

I am mostly disappointed they didn't show the controller off yet.  That is what Sony really could have done to say hey this is a new system...look at the new way you can play.

new way to play? color me excited! :D

How almost every game shown either dwelled in realism or magic or both. Seriously, I know your a game designer but how fucking nerdy can you get? Cool doesn't mean power, cool means interesting. And the most interesting new game they showed was Knack. I hope that turns out well.

when were game devs ever considered cool?

if i had to rate it I would say 5/10 simply because it wasn't horrible but was far from a great zombie movie.

it also wasn't overly violent nor overly chick-flicky. the theater wasn't packed but a few teens behind me were audibly swooning, but only on a few occasions.

oh I forgot to mention in my original post  I did like who the real villains were in the film, to an extent, but at the same time they severely down play the chicks dad who is made out to seem like zombie hater #1. Basically, don't expect this to be a zombie movie with a love story because it isn't, its a love story witty zombies. I hadn't seen many previews for this and I went in thinking it was more of a teen comedy with zombies, not exactly a teen ”rom-com”. oh well, didn't hate it.

so why wouldn't they have gotten the other versions some for a simultaneous launch? wii u version has been confirmed completed by ubi themselves, delaying it until september in order to have the other two versions ready. sound like it was meant to be exclusive originally and changed it up lay minute to me.

warm bodies: a better than expected date movie that was tolerable because I like zombies anyway. It wasn't as hourly as expected either, had some decent funny moments too.

with that said, there were a few things that bothered me but I don't feel its enough to get into it right now. If anyone else has seen it and wants to discuss, lets.

I never actually purchased DKRC, probably because my Wii has been gathering dust. SO, I will be buying it on the 3DS to play! I'm glad they are releasing it there

But if you picked it up the first time around, your Wii wouldn't have been gathering dust...

So it'll be on every home console?

I can't wait to pick this game up for my Nintendo 64!

Best version, no load times!

I suppose the price would be lower if there wasn't much EXTRA work to be done. Whose to say these extra levels were just tweaked levels of some originals cut from the game for whatever reason?

Just throwing it out there.

Its not good for your thumbs however...

I've been a gamer a long time. I could sit down with one game for hours on end (not that I do anymore) without food, drink or rest. You think I care about my health? ;)

Well this thread is doomed. I await some member responding pissed off after using every bit of advice including a diet of 20 donuts a day and sand paper stimulation. After being laughed at for a few months, said member will periodically emerge to sue me.

I TRIED HAVING TEH SEX LIKE STOGI SAID TO LOSE WEIGHT BUT I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AS OBLIVION SO I TRIED BUSTIN'S ADVICE AND NOW MY PENIS HURTS AND MY GF LEFT ME BUT NOT BEFORE PUSHING ME DOWN A FLIGHT OF STAIRS SO I'M PAYING ASS LOADS OF MONEY TO A CHIROPRACTOR &FOR ONLY A FEW MINUTES OF PAIN RELIEF. ACUPUNCTURE DOESN'T WORK EITHER. I WISH I WOULD OF HAD ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION LIKE SHINGI CUZ I WOULDN'T BE IN THIS MESS.

^agreed. I've always heard Batman Akham games were good but didn't know anyone that owned either version* and as I don't own a ps3 or 360, couldn't try the game. I was hooked when I bought Armored Edition for Wii U. It's such a good game that it makes you forget most games based on such a license, kind of suck.

*a newer friend brought his ps3 to another mutual friends house once and I got to play some of Arkham City for the first time a few months prior to Wii U's launch, but considering I was drunk, wasn't really in the mood to play a video game, and being thrown in the middle of a save file just isn't the way I like to play a game.

I hope this DLC isn't more than $10
I hope it's free.

I believe Iwata mentioned it would be sold but didn't detail pricing. Then again my memory of the ND video is a little fuzzy.

The touchpad looks way too small to be useful.

I'm really not convinced that Sony or Microsoft can make a controller as comfortable as the Wii U Pro Controller.

The Wii U Pro Controller is quite comfortable, indeed (just as the Classic Controller Pro was), and it's a controller that should be supported more than it has been so far on Wii U.  However, I've never cared for Nintendo's inverted Wii U stick placement so I'll take a Dualshock 3 or Xbox 360 controller any day if given the option.
Explain.

On traditional controllers, the two analog sticks are at the bottom of the controller, near where your thumbs naturally rest and underneath the Dpad/face buttons.  Nintendo, however, insisted on the Wii U controllers all have their sticks at the top of the controller near the shoulder buttons/triggers, above the Dpad/face buttons.  Now, I could take the left analog stick either way.  However, I find the right analog stick's placement problematic considering it defies the natural resting position of my right thumb, especially on the Gamepad (which is too big anyway, and I have to constantly reposition my hands to reach certain triggers).

No, my thumbs naturally rest where the dpad/face buttons are on the Dualshock controllers, so the sticks feel unnatural to me. Gamecube had it right since analogue is the best input for our modern 3D games.

Would this game be the Spiderman version of Batman Arkham Asylum/City?

or is it just another spiderman game?

This is what I'd like to know as well. I've heard some good things about the last few Spider Man games but never really dove in because the negatives usually outweighed the positive. If it's of Arkham Asylum/City quality then I'd bite the bullet and buy this game.

Tried watching this gameplay video but the player doesn't seem to be very good :P

Batman: The Movie (1966)

Batman to Robin: "Our job is done. Let's leave inconspicuously.. Through the window, we'll use our Batropes."

I guess going through the door while world leaders are arguing and seem to have no recollection that they were recently dehydrated into tiny piles of pixie dust would be too conspicuous, for Batman & Robin that is.
