i was expecting Dirks link to be a boring match between two combatants but the taunting was entertaining.

has anyone stop to think what smash game will come out after brawl? the answer is:
MURDER

snapshots with the wiimote ftw..? that would be soooo cool actually.... like a mario strikers-esque charge up, but instead of the moving bar on a power meter, if you're able to charge up all the way, the game goes into a megastrike type animation from behind the characters point of view, facing the goal, and you have to whack the puck yourself

See, I can't even remember it, I played it so little when I rented it, and it was so long ago.  I remember not favoring it much as a kid, but I might have been upset that I wasn't seeing the X cast, which was the series I was more familiar with at the time.

same with me. i was familiar with the original series since i played those since as long as i remember but when i first heard of megaman soccer thru a "friend' he swore to me that it had the X cast as well as the original, and made up a bunch of sh*t about how Zer0 was the best character and had an awesome header that almost always went in..

i finally get the game and zeros no where to be found, i was dissapointed that and not a single character has a header. other than standard shots/passes and super shots the only other move you can do is a crescent kick that just looks cool but doesnt add anything to the game.

i actually have two copies of this game, though all together i've owned 3 copies.. not cuz im a collector, but because my first copy was stolen by said "friend" from earlier, i later found a used copy at a funcoland (now a gamestop), then my parents surprised me with a few snes games after they went to a garage sale in Virginia, the games included: Wheel of Fortune (didnt work), some casino game (worked but sucked), Donky Kong Country 1 (which was awesome because my mom gave my copy away to family in another country when i was younger...w/o me knowing it and the family didnt even have a SNES, just new but she didnt know the difference) and.. Megaman soccer.

its very glitchy though, if not i would of gladly shipped it out to anyone who wanted it. oh well

On a similar note, last year when I was entering everyone from the forums I got stuck on Couch Monkey for a while.  At first I went with C Monkey but eventually settled on Couch Monk.

Regardless, I hate long handles that can't be easily abbreviated.

I shortened couch monkey to CouchMonky, then a friend saw it and read it as Cooch Monkey and that it was perverted.

But in how many of those do you get to kill a guy by sticking bullets between your broken fingers and putting your hand into a fire so they discharge and nail him in the chest?

Man that scene pwned so bad, the whole carrot shtick was awesome too, as well as all the “you know what i hate?” moments. The scene with the guy not using his blinkers really touched me, since i fantasize about doing what he did

I've always wanted to try that game out too.

neither of you are missing out much. its very slow paced even though the field seems really small. Shooting goals is easy once you get familiar with a few things like tricking the goalie into a dive w/o shooting the ball, or a few key places where goals are almost a given.

the super shots in the game are fun for a while but that wears off fast. You're only allowed a set number of then though (3 default, 9 maximum) so it only becomes a strategy of conservation when versus the harder opponents since you the easier foes are easier to defend against and you can use all your super shots for a blow out.

even still, the super shots aren't always a given on the harder teams since they usually have tougher goalies who are immune to most, if not all, of your super shots (protoman).

Oh and the music isn't all that great, from what i remember they didn't have too many megaman tunes, or any for that matter... Lame

thatguy is right, you either walk or take the subway. If you bring your car you'll be in traffic all day and most likely lost, if you hitch a cab ride you're wasting money.

the only other alternative is to stay at a cheap motel in the Bronx, call me up and let me drive you to the nearest train and be your personal guide around manhattan. All i ask in return is letting me pick out a game or two

oh and Kebob stands (chicken or beef w/hot sauce) FTW!!!
Hot dogs are for chumps

Jesus Christ... that poor poor kid.

Seriously... a part of me wishes that poor boy to become ultra violent and mentally unstable just because he wouldn't be able to blame Take Two, Rockstar, or violent video games. It would be his own fault for using his own son for his personal gain and most likely keeping him out of touch with the real world.

He could lie and say his son snuck around playing violent games behind his back, but that would still be his fault for not rightly parenting his son, hopefully showing the world that they need to be keeping an eye on their damn kids, not the government.

This might sound awful but i'll say it anyway:

i wouldn't mind if poor jt- junior went on a killing spree claiming to be doing Gods work by snuffing out people that play violent games. Then the blame could only be traced back to Jack for letting him know nothing but the bible, with its portrayals of violence, ultimately disconnecting him from the outside world (as i assume he does)

also the introduction of (relatively) cheap phones with keyboards (ie sidekicks, etc) make texting one of those "must have/do" things among younger crowds.

anywho, i text messaged my answers in with no problem the second i found out about this contest. i wonder if i have the option to pass on the two nights in a hotel in NYC since..well.. i live an hour away from the NWS and all... maybe i can get more cash out of it since there will be no hotel cost to them ;-)

to be honest im paranoid... i used to work at the NWS but as a temp and hired thru a temp agency, but part of working there was signing an NDA and stuff. about a month after being laid off, me and some of the other temps went back for an excite truck tourney and the manager told us (after the tourny) that in the future we couldnt compete because we were part of the staff.. even though we werent working there anymore...? i personally think he just didnt want us comming back because we knew the whole staff and being seen fraternizing with them during competitions might seem unfair to others.

oh and UB i'd text you just for kicks but im not on verizon, im on tmobile i'll post my phone number too if anyone wants to text me ;-) unlimited text FTW!!! lol
