I don't really believe we need that. I think it is just server load and people not having all the necessary ports open. You would still have to do that with wireless.

This would actually be ideal for what we want to do (which is what Valve games like TF2 offer), but my guess is that Nintendo doesn't want their networking code out there on PCs.
If there had been LAN this probably would be possible.

Yes you use a steam boat in PH. It is pretty nice.
There is too little to do on the ocean. I agree that there should have been some bigger islands in WW. It would have been cool if you could have done some on land exploring OOT style too.
