That'd true. I hope if they make it, they outsource it to someone like iNiS or Namco, with only the concept and the character coming from Sega.

It would have to be 2-D to 2-D, and when the stage flips, everyone would be in the exact same spot (horizontally, that is). The "flip and be over a pit" scenario would be impossible unless everyone was every time, which would kinda ruin the point. It would not play out anywhere near as interesting as in the actual Super Paper Mario game.
