Shenmue and TJ and E had low sales on Xbox, but most of thier other stuff has sold really good, and bseides Sonic and Super Monkey bal lthey dont HAVE multi console stuff, every thing is system exclusive. Sonioc sells better on GC and only 3 sonic games were released for Xbox.  But Virtue Quest and Billy Hacter and Samurai Jack all sold rathe rpoorly for GC also. So far only SOnic and Monkey ball sell good there.  Also Sega Sports stoped GC support early on. Panzer Dragoon Orta sold good at first but got lost in the mix when Halo came out.


And yeah I do think a lot of it is because Sega fans dont want to support the two companies responsible for killig NIntenod, but when we have discusions about why most chose X-box what they SAY is that its cuz Xbox is more liek DC than any other system, and I agre to certain extent, especialy the controlers have some similarities, plus DC was  i]the online system before Xbox.


So far Sega looks liek they are giving 360 a ton of support too, mostly cuz thats where they make money.

GUN is pretty good, actualy. I got it at Target cuz they ha dit for 24, got that and X-men Legends 2 same price.

What I like so far about Gun, besides the old west theme, is how it has that Slow motion so you can take your time aiming at enemies. The graphics are pretty good too and the story is ok so far.





I actualy sound more old school than the new stuff myself because tahst what I used to listen to, I try and mix a little of the p-funk sound into my songs when I can. My major infulences are Beastie Boys,  Kid N Play, Run DMC, KRS-One, LL Cool J, 2Pac, Dre, Snoop, Kurupt, Daz Dillinger, Warren G, Jazzy Jeff, and Whoodini. I listen to all forms of rap music but i prefer the late 80s and early Ninties but my favorite groups are beatie Boys and Dogg Pound. I dont listen to much of the new stuff, hate Kanye West and guys like him, but 50 cent is Decent.


I produce my own tracks I am a old School DJ/Turntablist in addition to doong a lot of digital work on my PC.

I have a full produced Cd if interested. Also I have sample tracks on my website linked to in my profile.


and Rhoq, I LIVE on Freestyle music, especialy Debbi Deb and Stevie B and 'Freestyle' listen to Dont Stop the Rock all the time. I also like Egyptian Loverbut here more Electric Funk. And Disco and 70s funk shall never die! Now I have to ask for a sample of your music, lets discus this stuff someplace else fear of moderators you know.

Sega doesnt want to disapoint fans by making a game that doesnt live up to expectations, at elast thast what they keep saying when aver asked about Nights, Yuji Naka says he WANTS to do a Nighst sequel but Corprate Sega says not right now. Rev would be perfect place for it though.


I just got rid of my saturn recently which  i wont explain but Nighst was one of my most played games on it. But I think theres game out now that surpase it in gameplay but what made it so cool was playinginside DREAMS, kinda liek what makes Nightmar eon Elms Street so cool is cuz Freddy is in your DREAMS/ but only if you care about dreams I guess.

I was going to get Pitfall when it first came out but I cant find it anywhere. I seen beyond Good and Evil in game store and its pretty cheap so I might get it but  I have been stovcking up on older games latley, just got original Pitfall for my Atari VCS and Streets of Rage 3 for Genesis today.  

I will most likely be going back to look for some of the games suggested, theres only 3 stores in town that sell used video games and none are bery good for GC, Gamestop has the better selection but they sometimes charge too much for games. We have 2 local used game stores but the 1 has like ten GC games at a time ever and the other around twnety or so to chose form, never a big selection.


I guess I am moew into nastalia games than anything. But I did pick up Gun and X-men Legends II recently also and I have to play some more of those plus I have been entrenched in FF III on SNES this last weeks  since I finaly found a copy pretty cheap.  


Oh by the way you gusy can just call me RAT if you want thats what most people call me anyways and its my official rapper name also, even have it on my liscense plates. but you guys probabaly dont like rap music so I wont bore you with details of my songs.

um well Sega sure makes abig deal about Sonic at Disney world, and so what if Disney made a cartoon based on Sonioc, he is sitll a SEGA trademark, that was the point, and I was only useing that IN ADDITION TO OTHER FACTS to show his immense popularity. Also The reactors of SOnic the Hedgehog stated publicly that they desinged him to look likie Mickey Mouse, thast why the original Genesis Sonic looked the way he did.

I also am confused why Sega fans hate Nintendo so much and liek Sony especialy since Playstation is what hurt them the most, but PS2 does get Segas better games, Sonic aside. Game Cube gets a few decent Sega games here and there but the REALLY good ones got o either ps2 or X-box and since Panzer Dragoon and Sega Rally are on Xbox and those are big time Sega gamers games it amkes sense to me.

I got an Xbox for Panxer Dragoon and Toe Jam and Earl 3 since they are exclusive to that system, well and Shemue 2. But I see Sonic on GC and I buy those also. I wanted PS2 for Shinobi and a couple others but I think GC and Xbox is enough for me, since Sega is known for releasing thie big games over on PC also. So I am pretty covered as Sega fan. And the DS gets good support also.

And I agree with woever said that alot of hurt feelings stems form SNES days, Sega fans are still sore that SMS and Genesis were out sold by Nintendo systems. I always did like Sega more but Nintendo was always a close second for me. But what do I know I still play my Atari 2600 and am currently seeking 3Do and Neo Geo games/systems.


Maybe it has something to do with hwo Sega commercials used to bash Nintendo so much and now its alot easier to make fun of Nintendo so Sega fans feel better following Sony or Microsoft. Also tehre was the nasty rumor that Microsoft bought Sega and teh fact that Dreamcast had a Windows logo on it. So Sega fans maybe are kind drawn to Xbox, I hear a lot of people comparwe it to DC in so many ways and I kinda agree to some extent.

But if they want to make aconsole in the future they need to doa beter job at winning success in Japane, they always had Europe locked down and had greater success in US but Japane they always bombed. Even though Japan got better games a lot of the times.  

I used to hang out ont he Sega boards daily, like I do here, but the people there are far more imature than here and I got sick of the stupidity coming form those jerks all the time.

anyways thats all i got for now I dont want to starta  fight I just wanted to mention how Sega is gasining ground in making a comeback in peopels minds. but its not worth it to starta  fight so Ill let it be for now.

Well I agree somewhat about Sega games being great because they stuck to arcade formula, but you must be misisng out ona lot of games if you think they are polished. Try Shinobi or Toe Jam and Earl, pr Panzer Dragoon, or Shining Force these games are some milestones in gaming history, and they keep getting sequels to this day, well SHining Force was sorta replaced with Shenmue, a nother great Sega game.


BUT as much as  i hope for Sega to returnt o consoles, staying with Nintendo only is not the way to go, they have been building thier fan base by staying multi platform, just go over to Sega forums and chat with teh guys tehre, most hard core Sega fans, hate Nintendo and hate how much Sega suports Nintendo. They all back up wither ps2 or Xbox as does Sega.

I think Sega will continue with thier proven strategy of spreading thier games around as thats how to buld brand recognition. Also Sammy who owns Sega now has goenon record saying they want Sega to fade out of COnsole business all together and focus on Arcades, where they dominate right now. As long as Sammy is around to tell Sega no new consoles then tehre will be no new consoles.

I do however urge you Nintendo fans here who also like Sega to go ver to sega.com and see what they guys there actauly say about Sega and Nintendo, most of them are pissed Sonic games are all over GC. Me I think Sega and Nintendo have similarity but Sega has many ideals Nintendo disagrees with. Also Sega still has thier Theme parks and Sonic is the ONLY Non Disney character featured at Disney world, not Mario but Sonic, so they definatley do have that mass appeal and name recognition, not to put mariodown he kicks ass too, but I do think Sonic is bigger now.

Its a very real possibility, especialy if Nintendo has healed the wounds the opened between them and Namco, remeber Namco went to Playstation 1 long before it even came out BECAUSE of thier hurt relationship with Nintendo.  

Nintendo felt the blunt of that loss durring the N64 days and it just carried over into GC, Namco decided to release some games for GC, eveb made a couple excclusives, so I see how Nintendo tried to fix the hurt relationship there, even letting namco develop some of thier own games.


Namco is a big company and they have some of the biggest names in video games, Pac-Man and Tekken are thier prime franchises but they have plenty more. I dont see Namco making games, well not too many anyways, exclusive for Nintendo unless somewhere along the lines Sony treated them as bady as Nintendo previously had.  I dont knwo how much stake Nintendo has in either compnay but Im sure it somehow was affectede by the merger. Maybe they now have major stake I dont know but its something to think about.

I think Tekken will do the job, making Tekken Exclusive to Rev will definaltey sway not only PS fans but satsify Fighting game fans who were left out on GC. I speak on thier behalf because PS2 had so many great fighitng games I always felt sick not getting any good ones on GC other than DBZ Budokai and MK DA. Timesplitters could helpa lot too especialy with the controller. Its like the only good thing about the controller so far, its a built in light gun for light gun fans.

I sure hope spmething good comes out of this/ especialy since I defiantely missed out ona  lot of game that were ps2 exclusives, Xbox exclusives didnt hurt me much I have a top of the line gaming pc and all the xbox games are on PC and in better versions. Well maybe not TJ and E 3 I cant find that game anywhere!!!

You knewo if its Sega related nes Im sure to notice, and any Sonic game for Rev is going to be good. Heroes isnt ata ll as bad as people say, yourun aorund, fast, you do teh same things you did in SOnic Adventure, its still fun I thought. I still dont get why people dont like it.


Anyways I hope the DONT use the revmote fot Sonic, damint there needs to be some rgular games that use the shell for normal gamers to play without having to get too into the remote. N64 had games where you could use the d-pad so did GC but if Rev forces to you use the new controler and it yo knwo maybe just sucks then tahst it people will walk away.


Sonic doesnt need a lot of buttons though I agree, back on Genesis all three buttons did the same thing, jump and spin dash. Thast one thing I didnt liek about the SOnic ADventure games is hwo they changed the Spin Dash. SA 1 had it but all the rest have taken it away.



I still havent played Shadow yet but I bet I will like it more than ya all cuz I am not so picky with games, if its fun its fun.

Ok well things went pretty good I would say, I managed to get Super Castlevania IV for SNES, Double Dragon for NES, Sunset Riders for Genesis, Need for Speed Underground 2 for GC and Fable for X-box,


I couldnt find the first Prince of Persia like I wanted, Lord of the RIngs Two Towers was there and it was only 6.99 so I might get it next time.

I mostly wanted to get evolution worlds for my younger sister, she plays the original one on DC and likes to play GC more so I wanted to know if it was anythign like the DC version the guy at game store said its the thrid in the series and plays very similar. My Sis is only 17 so she hasnt played many RPGS, Evolution and Fable are her first ones next to Mario RPG which she plays the most.

Icecold I think I mave mentiond several times I hate Donkey Kong games but at least you were suportive and mentiond a platformer. I actauly have been considering getting Frogger and the Pac-Man world games but I don't know yet.

NFSU2 kicks @$$! Thats the kind of Need For Speed I like, plus cool music. I love how they got The Doors AND Snoop to do a song together, love both of them and getting a song together was cool.

I still havent found Toe Jam and Earl 3 for X-box is it a hard game to find? thats the top of my list right now bt I cant find it no where. Oh and before someone says ebay I dont buy from them, nor any other online site.


Oh and I played Pokemon Stadium while there just so see what it was like, never played Pokemon game before, and yeah I still dont get whats the big deal.

I am torn here, I am with Ian and others on that i am terribly afriad of the non gamer strategy cuz frankly it sucks as a gamer.  

Again I do not call Nintendogs a NON game and have stated this many times, its  a pet simulator, or SIM, to not call it a game cuz its a sim you would have to say Sim City, Roller Coaster Tycoon, THE SIMS, and many others, arent real games, and thats a laod of #&*^ and your a EFFING FOOL if you beleive that, period!

Nintendo DS sells so well becasue of the GAMES! Mario 64 and Mario Kart DS and Castlevania DS are some of the better selling DS games, and guess what tehy are TRADITIONAL games. Animal Crossing for GC was still called a game when it came out, so why all of a sudden is its sequel NOT a game!? Explain that.

Nintendo needs to spend more time trying to make more traditional games, mostly to set an example for 3rd party developers AND to give thier fans the games that nobody else will.

Revolution however is different, I do see how they need to focus more on the US market and I think they are taking the right steps for that, so I disgree there that tehy dont care about US, otherwise they wouldnt be so focused on ONline or teh 1st person shooters which greatly appeal to US gamers.

The 1 area US gamers also eat up more than Japanese gamers is Sports games, specificaly Football, and Nintendo hasnt made any steps to make thier system good for sports games, PS2 had many advantages there, partly online because playing Madden online agaist a full size team of real people is far more appealing than four people. Also teh Ps2 versions also had the Multitaps which allowed up to 8 and some games more players, Nintendo didnt do anything for that, not that I personaly care but I know way to many sports fans who are also hard core gamers who said that was a big reasosn they chose ps over GC.


Rev has potenial i suppose with the  controller and such, but they also need to desgin the games to be functional and fun, also sports games need to be online since rev will only support 4 players unless they make sports games that can be LANed or whatever to add more players, wich with them including the local netwroking of multiple systems with 1 game disk taht will appeal to many people if exploited.

I think Nintendo is on the right track with the REV but I still fear if they put to much emphasis on non gamers they will lose the gamers and then they will shrink even more in public eye and market share. after while they will eventualy start losing too many fans and thier profits will decrease with that.

Got paycheck today goign to video game store need help deciding what games to get so plese reply with usefull info.



Ok heres the delima, I am looking to start filling in my GC library since I know there are more good games out there that I dont know about and I need to start feding my hunger. and since I got a raise at work and they started giving me 2 days off instead of the 1 day off and then calling me in anywyas, now I have time to play games. So I need to know some things.

What are the Lord of the Rings game for GC like? are they any good, are they anything like Balders gate or are they more like FF?

Are there any more AD&D games besides Dark Allience for GC, or is DA 2 for GC? I need to know this because my sister is huge AD&D nut and she wants to play DA 2 and we sold our PS2.


Are there any other Plastforming adventure games, youknwo lie MArio and such, besides that awefull Wario World. L liked Pac man world but it wasnt satisfying enough. Are the Frogger games good, L loved the original arcade ones and trust the developers who make it to be good.


LAst q, is Evolution Worlds for GC anythign liek Evolution for DC? ok gotta get going times wasting talk latter.

Anyways I have anetgear router and I dont have many problems, IO get kicked off sometimes forno reasons ( yeah so if were racing and I get discontedted screw you it wasnt cuz I was losing cuz I always lose)

but it works great for my PC. I will havwe to barrow a friends psp and try it out to see if theres similar problems or if it works better. But if its cuz teh DS is so small and it just out puts too much signal for it than the REV wont be an issue cuz I bet anythig it uses more bandwidth and etc than DS.

I counted up all my games today for all my systems and I have 5 more Nintendo games than Sega games (thast ranging from NES- GC and from Genesis to DC) so I am going to the used game store today to remedy that situation. Also after much debate I am considering picking up some GC games I have held off on, maybe F-Zero and Maybe Eternal Drakness but I havent decided.

I do want to get those Lord of the Rings games I keep passing on and I am still looking for wind waker to go back down to 10 dollars, it went back up to 20 due to demand or something (or maybe the game store is building hype for TP who knows.)

oh and I need to get some DC games and body knwo some good ones I might have missed. Our DC selection is rather small right now, we have Sonic adventure, Evolution, Shenmue and Street FIghter Alpha 3, I am still debating about KISS SPycho circus and one knwo if its good. Also is the 1st soul caliber good? I have SC2 on GC but never played original.


Also besides WW and Star Foz Adventures are there any other good action adventure games I shoudl look for? I have Prince of persia WW but I want to play Sands of time before I get to it so maybe I will look for that.


OK last question and this one needs answer please, did Ubisoft release the current Prince game Two Throwns for GC, cuz I seen it at walmart for PS2 and Xbox but no Cube. Did it sell out or was it shafted. Oh and I just got Gun a few days ago and so far have mixed feelings but its cool cuz my parents love weterns so its one more game they like to play.

yeah I got Prince of Persia on my Sega CD and Warrior Within on GC, I like those games so far. I didnt liek original at first cuz controlers sucked but after a while I got really into, to bad my Sega Cd doesnt have any more save data room so i cant save unless I erase something or track down one of those hard to find memory carts.


See Thast why I am glad that 3rd party supports was better this gen than last cuz it brought moany more good games to GC than just Nintendos hit and miss stuff, but I still missed out on so many games mostly due to Midways adandoning the Cube and they make a lot of games I like.

Speakinjg of which Midway stated on thier website or maybe itw as an email whatever i forget but they said tehy are not going to support teh DS and have no plans to support Rev, anybody else distrubed by this or do you think they will change thier minds?

yeah but people keep talking about the low cost to sell these already developed games and keep forgettting the HIGH cost of maintaining a network connection like WFC. Nintendo has to recoup thier cost and make a profit some how.

Also take into account some of these games were FLOPS, whatever sales thy had might not haev covered the dev cost so there fore still cost Nintendo money that they likely want to make back. Also I really like the idea of teh VC more now that I realize it gives Nintendo a chance to see how well some of thier obscure titles might sell and could translate into a form of market research in discovering which franshises to bring back, like mybe ice climbers or kid icaris perhaps oh and CRUISIN USA!

Still I want to pay once for a game and be able to save it to my PC and play it again in ten years without having to pay Nintendo more money.  I dont liek the idea of subscription service cuz what happnes if your over drawn in yoru account cuz you didnt balance your budget right, and they cancel you becaudse of a returned check or whatever and then what? you lose everything. Also how will it be if your really far into a long RPG game and you go to save and then you geta message tel;ling you are late on your payment and tehy shut your game off.  

Well ok worst case scenario there but still something to think about.


I dont knwo I would be a lot happier with more classic compilations liek a mario All starst update adding more games than teh first and then a Metroid compilation with the nes, snes and GB games or something.

Um I have considered trying it just cuz Sega made it, but every time I go to buy it I just dont know, I hate Captain Falcon from Smash bros and that level where your racing from the cars just irritates me. But when the price goes down again il check it out, its down to 15 dollars at walmart Im waiting for clearance price of 10 though. I dont even buy Need for Speed games at full price I like racing games but not THAT much.

And I still havent mad eup my mind on revmote, I said that so many times before, I have doubts about certain areas but I expect that shooting games, especial the light gun type, will be perfect and that somehwat excites me. Plus I plan on playing Duck Hunt first thing.

I guess I dont rememebr saying I hated the revmote I only thought I was saying it has potentil to suck and I dont put much stock init untilk i see hwo it works first hand. Other peopel have similar doubts it called fear of change and for me I can adapt easily most of the time.

true all that not to mention the insane Pokemon merchandising and such. I did look into investing into Nintendo but they want way to much for initial investment for me at this time, so I will probably go with Proctor and Gamble next since I already got the right mutual fund now I need to get some stocks in big companies that arent going away. I so want to own sharess of Nintendo though, not just cuz tehy are profiatable but also cuz then I have an excuse for pushing people to buy thier products.

yeah that makes sense due sure. I just think they are doing a good job reestablishing thie popular franchises. I know that Sonic team hs some of the best developers in the world and Yu Suzuki and Yuji Naka are harolded as geniuses by many.  As for Racing games, well I just liek real looking cars games that move fast and feel like your in a real race, Need For Speed does ok so its not a total waste but I do prefer Segas Arcade style racers becaus e they are short and easy to play. And fast.


I wasnt atacking I was educating just cuz I am a Sega loyalist and must defend them to the death


Seriously though I do think that Sega had a good chance of building a good fan base and forming alliences with dvelopers since tehy have a history of making great games. Sega has more games in the Hall of Fame and in Museums and things liek that than any body else. Epescialy Yu Suzuki, he gets credit for the bulk of Segs hits. Shemnue, Virtue Fighter series, Virtua Cop Super Manaco, Shinobi, and more.

Also Sega has been the undisputed King of Arcades forever, not just from Sega fans view, but from bussiness and innovative stance, they make more arcade games than any body, and tahst I guess what I lvoe aout Sega they make Arcade games and translate those to consoles so wonderfully and I am a huge arcade fan.

To Darkknight I agree that some of those games are crap I was just listing the games tehy are known for cuz I got the impression they were being ignored and as deleopers they have many good games that get drowned out by all the other crap, you knwo just like eveyr body else.


Anyways I just love Sega and Nintendo both a lot but I always liked Sega  a little more, mostly they have diversity and put a lot of effort into thier good games and they kick ass at arcade games. and Um VR Cop and House of the Dead are suposed to play liek eveyr other light game, tehres only 1 formula for good light gun games and they nailed it right the first time. But yu gotta be a fan of light guns games to care.

whatever its still interesting news. And Nintendo sure as hell better make away to back up your games otherwise they will piss people off. They can take measure to prevent them form working on other systems easily but you should be able to make a bak up so in case it gets erased like during a thunderstorm and teh pwoer goes out in mid DL or something or if your flash memeory drive fails or some how you delete a game on accident stuff happens its true you cant deny it.
