Pop locking and break dancing are ok, C-walking, and anything that has to do with country music, is bad for you.

Thing is, I've had to deal with death way more than I ever wanted to recently so this one didn't sting as much as it could have but I'm still adapting. What you say is very true, every time a friend passes on, it always makes me think what more could I have done to be a better friend and it makes me wonder when it is my turn to get off this pathetic rock. But I try not and get depressed anymore cuz it's not healthy.

General Chat / Animating in MS Paint is a PAIN in the @$$
« on: March 25, 2008, 10:43:46 PM »
Ok so long story short. I am working on a new project. I am not going to say what it is cuz I'm not ready yet, but I have run into another problem. See I am not the most artistic person in the world. At least not when it comes to drawing. I mean I usually have a pretty broad imagination (not that I show it here obviously), anyways heres my pickle.

Ok so I am working on this new project, sorta comes from an idea I had along time ago mixed with something I wanted to try that hasn't been done the way I wanna do it, as far as I know anyways.
Ok so the thing is I am trying to put my creation together and then I find out that although I am increasingly competent in the Audio Production side of things and I am getting better at the Video Production, I still haven't gotten any better at drawing either on paper or in MS Paint.

Here's the thing I wanted to hand draw everything that is going into this new project and then take digital pictures of it, then transfer everything into MS Paint and add color. Well this process produces much better looking art than if I try and draw in Paint to begin with, but it still takes forever and a day to color every single picture. I am a fairly patient person, and let's face it I pretty much have all the time in the world, so I figure I can dedicate some time to this here project.

Ok fine then I learn that MS Paint sucks. So I also learn that even though the pictures look better than they did before it still looks bad for what I am trying to do. So here is where I get to the point.

I am trying to do a short animated feature that I will be uploading to a new website I am working on. But I suck at drawing and am not very good at MS Paint (and I don't have access to Photoshop or better tools :( ) So I am kinda in a pickle.

Then I remember there are people out there who are better at drawing than I am and wanted to see if maybe someone here might be interested in maybe lending me a hand. I am willing to pay one for their work (one way or another) but it won't be up front. Anyways if there is a talented artist, or at least one who doesn't suck, who wants to maybe try something new, then like get a hold of me and we can discuss what I am trying to do.

Sorry for the messy post, I know, I know, but I just didn't know how to put this into the right words at first.

I don't know, Tetris and Dr. Mario are the only games my mom ever plays and she's not that good at either of them. I beat both before on the highest settings but found out the rules change when you play it online.

My NES and those of everyone else I know still work fine.  It was my SNES that broke down.  So there.

Anyway, my point is that these complaints seem to me to be a recent phenomenon.
Internet brings complaining power to a younger demographic and the gaming demographic itself has aged and knows better how to get its voice heard.

and yet your only 4 years old than me.

It is not something I am making up and your the first person I have ever met who does not remember the flashing lights being a major issue. There was a lot more to it than that, I distinctly remember games would freeze up for no reason at all, sometimes when playing Super Mario Bros. the game would get all scrambled and the graphics would act funny like you could walk over pits in the ground or sometimes bricks would appear where they didn't used to be.

It was a lot more than just the stupid machines flashing off and on all the time. And I know I am not alone in these issue, hell Game spot even did a feature on this a while back. Everyone who remembers the NES remembers fighting with it to get them to work.

Hey if you had different experiences more power to you, but I know your   experiences are a rarity because every single person I know who had an NES had their own method of fighting they damn things to get them to work.

It was a poor design flaw they even admitted that when they fixed the issue for the SNES and relaunched the NES with a remodel.

My NES, and everyone else I knew, had the problem mere months after getting the system.

Hey don't get me wrong I *LOVED* the NES, but the truth is they broke down pretty easily. Maybe you were older than we were when you got yours.

Sorry I forgot to add the picture for reference.

It had nothing to do with dust, it was the poor connectors that would wear away after time and eventually stop working altogether.

I didn't say it would be easy, just that is what *I* would want. *I* know it will never happen but *I* can wish for it either way.

Dang the FF:CC game is expensive without a quarentee that most of the software is there.

When do we get a Preview or Review or Impressions.?

It's gonna be like that Gran Turrismo for PS3 where you end ups pending over $1000 to unlock everything that should be in the game in the first place. I think they canceled it though but that's what it'll be like. Like you'll have to pay real money to buy stuff in the game.

I just wish they would redo Super Mario World in full 3D, and a remake, not a sequel but an updated adaptation of Super Mario RPG with some new features added in. They could save this one for DS since Square seams to be doing all the old RPG remakes for that system.

I can't believe people actually pee in the shower...

Why not? It all goes to the same place.

I hear that, I used to work for a Waste Water Treatment Plan before, you don't wanna know how unclean your drinking water really is.

I've been waiting for Doctor Mario to come to Virtual Console, I don't care about new fangled remakes, I want the classic original untouched and unchanged. I want this new version also though.

The only comedy I ever watched that came from Canada was You Can't Do That On Television. Besides that I used to watch Degrassi, the old one not the new one.
