Start with the worst way you have broken up with someone or rejected someone.
I will go first.
It was either tenth or 11th grade I forget which one but there was this girl that I totally was in love with who was a great friend but interested in this other dude. Well she had moved away and I started getting close to this other girl, her best friend prior to the move, and we started dating off and on but nothing official. Then there was a third girl who I totally despised and had pushed off the bleachers a couple years before this time at an after school event so she hated me equally.
So now I am in 10th or 11th grade and Prom is coming up, well the first girl is back for a visit and just so happens will be around for prom. But she can't go cuz she isn't old enough yet, she has like a year to go I think. Well she like asks me to take her friend to the prom cuz nobody else will go with her, turns out it is the girl who hates me. She is willing to forgive me just for this one night cuz she needs a date for prom and in small towns like this prom is serious business.
Ok so I am now agreed to go with the girl I hate but it's ok cuz the girl I was in love with asked me to do it for her and you cant' say no to that. Well flash forward to after school, this all takes place week before prom so there is little time left. So now it is after school and I am hanging out with my friend who is also the other girl I mentioned earlier and she asks me if I am going to prom and I said well yeah with ____ and she laughs at me and tells me I should have asked her cuz she wanted to go with me. This girl has been my new best friend for ever since the other girl moved away and they have been fighting and so when I tell the third girl I am only going as a favor to the first girl, she freaks out and says I HAVE to dump the other girl and go with her not just cuz we both like each other and it makes more sense, but now to spite the other girl.
So unlike TV shows like Saved by the Bell where this stuff happens, I decide **** it I don't care about her feelings enough to worry about hurting her and the girl who asked me to do this favor has left town already so won't know right away anyways. So I just tell her, I changed my mind I'm going with someone else cuz I like her more and she wants to go with me. Being the dumb hormonal teenager I am this looks to work out for me cuz the girl I am now locked into going with is much prettier than the other two anyways.
Fast forward to prom and the girl I dumped naturally doesn't show up. Come Monday I find out she got arrested PROM NIGHT for steeling from the casino (a major do not do in Nevada) and now is locked up for three years. She gets out and time goes by I forget about her and then I bump into her one day and find out it was cuz of what I did that bumbed her out in the first place. So I explain the whole story to her and she forgives me cuz she says it was all in the past.
The sad part is this girls dad was a good friend of my parents and I seen him in church a lot and so now that it's all out in the open what went down I decide to make it up to her by becoming friends with her dad and trying to be a better guy. Then he goes and dies from cancer right after finding out it was me who caused his daughter to throw those three years of her life away.
Damn. Now I feel like **** and it's been over five years since it happened but he just now passes away right after finding out why his daughter hated me so much all that time.
