I wasn't meaning to sound defensive just that like I said, my views are not popular and also it is hard to explain. I did, LOVE FF7, and when I had a PS1, there was maybe three games I liked on it, but only 2 were exclusive.


And...I can to live in the past, it's my right. Hell the ONLY reason I got a Wii, as I have said before, is the Virtual Console, as far as I am concerned PS killed gaming a long time ago and for oh about three years or more I haven't really enjoyed the hobby at all. Lost Winds is the first NEW game in YEARS I have had fun playing. My GC collection is as follows, Sonic Mega Collection, Sonic Gems Collection, Mega Man Anniversary Collection, Mega Man X Collection, Midways Arcade Treasures 1 and 2, Zelda Collectors Disc and Metroid Prime. I have SFA (universally hated on here) and Harvest Moon A Wonderfull Life, but my sister is holding onto those games for me cuz she has only a GC and nothing else and loves those two games the most.


It is just who I am. I didn't mean to get defensive, honestly I wasn't upset I was just taken back that again my difference in opinion was being called out. I have FACTS to back up my claims also, like I said fact is I had only 1 non Sega owning friend growing up. Fact is I only found 3 PS1 games I liked and only 2 were exclusive. Fact is I hate the DS, and the regular controller even more. Fact is PS2 had nothing GC didn't have that interested me (GC had very little that did also but a lot of it I attribute to growing older, changing tastes and things like that.)


From my perspective PS is worthless. Now I should clarify, I didn't mean to say I hate PS altogether, it took a while to get there like I said I respect Sony and their hardware, but the line ends there.


So yeah maybe my feelings are fanboyish, but they are sentimentally based so I feel justified in my bias. Plus it conflicts me to hate PS but LOVE everything else Sony so yeah, it's not easy being me.

On SFA, to each his own I suppose. Being one who LOVED the game, also really liked Zelda II BTW, but I was mostly kidding in my post.


To be serious though I think it would be awesome of Nintendo did update Zelda into a futuristic setting like Ian is talking about, it would really get fans in an uproar thought and force them to go back and do a "safe" Zelda again latter on. Maybe that is what Miyamoto meant when he said TW will be the last "conventional Zelda"?

So they work for running video but not converting. That sucks. My stuff is fast enough for me for the most part I was just hoping this would speed things up a bit. The card has DVI out but other than DVI to HDMI converters I have seen in stores, I am not sure what DVI is or where it goes.

Like I said, it would start an argument.


It is simple nostalgia plain and simple. When I was growing up where I lived, every single person I knew had a Sega, only 1 person had a SNES and he also had a Sega and, like us, played it more. Then the ONLY friend I had who didn't have a Sega ALSO didn't have a Super, he JUST had a NES and was content with that.


In the world I grew up in SEGA was king of the hill, Nintendo was also pretty good we loved them BOTH about equal, they both had similarities.



Then along comes PLAYSTATION and then things go to hell.


It is NOT fanboyism AGAINST Sony, I said that, it is fanboyism AGAINST PLAYSTATION, but I have LEGITAMATE reasons, weather anyone agrees or not. Like I said it is all SUBJECTIVE, I think MS is **** also but they are just **** all around not just their games division.


But I am not and WILL NOT turn this into an argument SO STOP trying to. I made a statement that affects ME, you DO NOT HAVE to share my hatred, NO ONE DOES, but I have the RIGHT to my own opinions and I will ALWAYS feel free to express those no matter how "trollish" or "fanboyish" they may come off.


But I was perfectly calm and also very serious and light hearted in my post, YOU seamed to want to attack me for no reason. These are MY opinions WHY do you feel the need to tear them apart?

If I had said something like that, fine start a war, but what I said was I had my own, albeit complicated to others, reasons for my views.

what do you mean by "no one has heard before" I heard him speak every Friday right during the Super Mario Bros. Super Show. Or was it Saturday Zelda came on instead of Mario? Sure some people think that Link would be wrong, but it is a legitimate personification of a beloved character that some would hate and some would like. Not that I want him to be like that character, although I was one of the few apparently who liked the old cartoons.

It is not meant to be faboyish at all, on the contrary I am a HUGE Sony fan, everything, non-video game related I own is Sony pretty much. I HATE Playstation, for too many reasons to list, and since they are MY views even saying WHY I hate it would only upset those whose views differ from my own. But I want nothing more than for SONY to exit the VIDEO GAME market. Not go out of business just STOP KILLING GAMING.

With that said, I DO think the PS3 is a nice piece of hardware, and if it didn't say Playstation on it and if Playstation wasn't ruining video games, IN MY MIND, I would totally pick one up. Aside from that, PS2, the reason there even *is* a PS3, sucked IN MY OPINION and had NOTHING to offer *me*.


It is pure subjective I make no fanboyish claims like GC was more powerful or Xbox had better games or PS2 was for sheep who can't think for themselves (a statement closer reserved for the Wii audience but I don't wanna open that can of worms)

I have nothing against Sony as a company, nor do I particularly mind their hardware that much or even at all, but I will NEVER own another Playstation brand product as long as I live, despite the handful of games I like, it is my choice to chose not to spend the money, which I don't have but even if I did would not spend, to play a handful of games, at last count 2, that I can't get elsewhere.


Besides I *AM* a HUGE Sega Fanboy and SONY is more responsible for their demise downfall than anything else (their own ignorance aside 32X *was* a great idea so was Sega CD, both poorly executed and not marketed to their full potential among other problems) so my HATRED of all things PLAYSTATION is not anything to do with Nintendo, but Sega, and my longing for the days when I knew owning the latest SEGA hardware pretty much guaranteed I would not have to worry about weather or not my favorite SEGA games would come to my system of choice, cuz they were made by SEGA.


If those reasons are not satisfactory to YOU or anyone else PLEASE DON"T BOTHER trying to change my mind, because it won't work. I feel very passionately about this, which is why I was GLAD every single one of my Sony Fanboy friends all bought Xbox 360s instead, on top of the Wii dominance I had high hopes of SONY's PS3's demise. Sadly it is a pipe dream right next to SEGA making another game console again and up there with a REAL Duck Hunt sequel ever getting made.

so why even bother making a video card in the first place? What the hell do they do?


Ok in that case, I have 1 GB RAM, a 2.0Ghz Processor, and let's see, Windows XP Service Pack 2. What should I change to improve the video conversion? I thought for sure a good video card would make a difference. That sucks. Especially since I hooked the thing upto the TV and everything looks worse than on my monitor. Bigger screen doesn't matter much if everything is fuzzy. At least this way I can watch movies in my room on my TV without the headache of putting them onto the I-Pod and losing even more quality.

Still what good is a video card if it doesn't affect video? Or is it only supposed to affect Gaming? Cuz the website said it would improve video quality but didn't say anything specific. Now I am hating Ati.

Well if I was serious I would offer you My ONLY copy of Children of the Atom hard cover which is still in it's box it came in, that book is really hard to come by and not very cheap. It was also a Christmas present and  ask anyone that knows me, I have a hard time letting go of just random stuff, but Presents I keep forever no matter what.

But Alas, I am putting my SNES on Ebay sometime this week, when I actually get around to finding all the stuff that goes with it, so a SNES game is not worth much to me at the moment. So I will wait for the inevitable VC release.

Then again, I would trade you my DC straight up no questions asked for just about any Wii or DS game right about now, I really need to buy a new game for either system cuz I haven't been able to do that in soooooooooooooo long. I managed to buy Lost Winds but that hurt me to do.

Damn it I seriously HATE Sony right now and just wish they would drop out for ever. Why must people keep buying their consoles, this will be bad news in a year from now. I so wanted PS3 lifetime sales to be worse than GC.
