You know what my real proplem is, its that I am a brutal typer, a 2 finger hen pecker. Now when I play a PC game that makes me use a keyboard, I cant look at the f'in screen because then I cant type the right keys. Oh the joy.

"True crime is a great game"

I am a hugh fan of the GTA series, everyone here knows that. With that being said, TRUE CRIME IS F"ING BRUTAL.
It is nothing more than a half assed GTA style clone, with horrific load times, the worst draw distance I have ever seen (I love it when a stop sign pops up when I am inches away only), and slow downs that are so bad that the game becomes virtually unplayable, and please dont even get me started on the f'in zombies.

If you like this game as much as you say then you truly are an idiot.
And before you ask, yes I have played it on both the cube and the x-box, because I was curious to see if the cube just got a crappy port, and nope, they both suck.

You are the first person in the history of these forums to agree with me on anything. I knew it would happen sooner or later. It must be Christmas

RHog,

I was looking for thread when you posted this LOL, I just saw the same thing. I also checked Midway's sight and see nothing about the game in the gamecube section.

Did Midway make an announcement that this was cancelled for ther cube, or is this just an assumption?

"I like nvidia just b/c they are some insanely fast chips. Ati however has gotten good, but its rumored Microsoft is going away from nvidia...so maybe nintendo will snag them. "

LOL, I guess that is why my gamecube loads games twice as fast as my x-box does. MS is now using ATI as well, and I am sure Nintendo has no plans on switching to an inferior product.

" Nintendo is able to make their system dirt cheap mainly because it cant be used as a dvd player."

I can get a DVD player that is better than the PS2 and X-box ones for under $50, and I even get the remote for free.

"Nintendo tries to innovate, but they are dumb i think. They ALWAYS want to be different instead of tried and true conformity. Honestly, how can you make a game nowadays...with CG, FMV movies...as well as high resolution game content and SLAM it all on a 1.5 gig disk?"

the last thing I want is a game that forces me to watch 10 minute movies betwwen every stage because they coundnt fill the game  with actual gameplay. If I want to watch a movie I will pop in a dvd THANKS.

"Their sales were first hurt by the *fruity* color when it launched which led many college students and teen - adult gamers away and labeled it strictly a kids toy."

I am 33, and I could give 2 chits what color that darn thing is.

"For a company who recycles SO many of its old franchise games...nintendo should try to focus on older folk like me (21 years old) who used to play the old franchise games when they first started. blah blah blah im tired of typing : )"

I wish I was that smart at 21

I hate PC gaming with a passion. Playing with a mouse and keyboard is the absolute worst thing I can imagine having to do, even for FPS.
I am a console gamer 100%, I dont own a single PC game.

" I played Super Mario World all the way up to @#!&*@ Butter Bridge where I'm currently stuck. "

it took me at least 30 tries to get past butter bridge, and when I was done I was so relieved. Then came the part where you have to clear the level in under a certain amount of time. It only gets worse I am afraid, oh my aching thumb.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: GCN out of the Race?
« on: December 08, 2003, 09:28:37 AM »
once again, it all boils down to "who really gives a shiit".
Why let things like this get your panties in such a knot. Anyone, and I mean anyone who can read a November sales report can see that this is garbage.
I for one am real anxious to see how MS responds to large amount of cube sales as of late, because as Ian said, the real race is for second, and NIN just bought a new pair of sneakers.
MS imo has to respond, and quickly before NIN pulls away to far. I know for sure the Tetris Worlds, KOTOR holiday pack isnt the answer., neither is a $99 X-box as that would be financial suicide.

I guess time will tell.

I have seen this commercial daily now for 2 weeks, and its not the fact they say the X-Box is better. That is what advertising is for, you pay so people will say your product is better, the best choice, yada, yada.  What bothers me is the way these people are talking, especially the young guy with his mom. Someone needs to tell these people that they are not gangsters from the hood, they are no relation to snoop or nelly, they are spoiled white kids from upper middle class homes who would almost surely crap their pants if they ever met a real gangster.

SEGA IMO has become one giant POS company.  They are lazy as developers, make brutal games and now are trying to make money from the lowest form of American culture, the freakin lawsuit.

Man I wish SEGA would go the way of its consoles.

this is without a doubt my most hated gamecube game, I have never understood what all the fuss is about. I am not a fan of any fighting games, but I will play them on occasion, this game I will not touch.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: GameCube on a 16:9 Screen?
« on: December 07, 2003, 08:38:18 AM »
"if you have any choice, don't go with a widescreen TV. Those are the most annoying waste of money I have ever seen."

in less that 5 years, all cable broadcast will be in 16x9.

"Games are surely playable, but the result is less than pretty."

With the new sets and their many types of stretch features games look as good if not better in widescreen.
