the reason why vhs beat out beta was industry ambition. Beta are great quality and last a long time. VHS is crappy quality and don't last more then a few years without degrading. They hated the fact that you could copy things at great quality so beta was purposely killed. VHS degrsades quality so the industry didnt mind that you recorded their stuff because it wasn't as good as the orignal.

i hope gamecueb has alot of games come out that are memorable...however i think that work on the next system is needed. Nintendo is too often unprepared for the next generation and needs to get on top of that. The problem is nowadays its hard to be a 10.0 game. The bar is set so high.
Sure im one ofthose that agree too human should be a launch title for the next system(in other words there better be some sort of action/adventure game at launch......). At the same time i want the sequl to eternal darkness on this system or perhaps some other new sk franchise. As far as other games go...i dont want any other games to be pushed back that have been announced thus far.  So far geist hasn't really caught my eye. We have till about 2007 for Ninty to hault production of gcn games. I say let gcn get milked for years even while the next system is out.

its funny you guys mention the labrynth...i was watchign some travel channel show called worlds most scary places...and they talked about this big corn field maze. Which reminded me of the labrynth. I had a sudden cravign to watch it. Now you guys are talkign about that movie.....

yuji miyamato is new...so he's obviously not gonna be right all the time. Of course IBM is the people who design PowerPC processors(the processors that Macs have) and have a great relationship with apple. MS and IBM had a working relationship in the dos days but that fell thorugh a hole a long time ago. IBM makes Warp OS for Networks and their own supercomputers
and makes processors for apple along with motorolla.

as far as operating systems go...well lately iv used both extensively...and Mac is becoming morel ike windows, and widnows is becoming more like mac with each respective software release. Whatr peopel really want is a really good hybrid. Im very used to both but there are things i like in one OS and don't like in another. I wish there was an interface everyoen could agree upon...a few years from now both OS will be very similar or even mroe radically different...but both more user friendly. Heres an idea....being able to change the layout default rapidly for your pending need. Macs are great for graphics...their layout makes the graphic work load faster(aside from the no default right clicking) and windows is great for programing...imagine if there was like a button you could click and it would change your sets and programs really quickly to suit your needs.....ill design it and sell it ...now i can animate it in flash too

i was interested in kameo originally, however the design of the game has gone in a different direction and it looks to be alot different then what got me initially excited. Perhaps it will still be a good game. Only time can tell.

In the Future i'd love to see more games have more editors. Imagine a Zelda game in which you could build levels and make your own story line and characters. Or just all the whacked out mario levels someone could make. Imagine if the next system had more online capabilities and we could download dungeons made by people from around the world....like the games replay value would like soar.

as for why I dont have an xbox. If I had the money to buy all systems i definitely would. I don't because my favorite STYLE of games are made by Nintendo. As far as games go. Xbox doesnt have anyhign out thta interests me in one bit. However, whats comign loois very good. I will be excited to play Fable and Ninja Gaiden on my friends Xbox.

There are a few different breeds of gamers. There are the Nintendo/Sega freaks which are so similar in personality. Unfortunately the sega freak is an endangered breed and are the only ones who really get along with the Nintendo gamer.

then theres the RPG freak. Now this has become the most common freak nowadays thanks to the playstation. RPgs are super popular and are shovelware. It used to be a niche group but now its really big.

sports freaks. These people are people who play sports constantly whethe in real life or in games.

Pc Freak. The Pc doesnt seem to have a very diverse set of games. Mostly PC games are usally Shooter, Sim, MMORPG, or RTS. There are a few originals here and there but not as much variety as there is on consoles.

Xbox gamer...the new breed...i dont know about them.... "<'.'>-"

the casual gamer....this group fits in all groups and i detest them. Know your stuff..... o_O and quit being so Baka-ish

Ps2 really is a mix of breeds...i wouldnt classify them all. For soem reason they prefer ps2.

well there seems to be a group of people here that have gained respect and seem to post soem good stuff.
anyways i remember in the olden foruism day we got cool titiles udner our names..now i don't know if you would give us that again but heres a list of people i think deserve titles..and  some possible names for each. some of these are oldschool and are not even on the forums...note these are taken from my list of cool people.
