Actually, go here for a better idea of what they're thinking.  No, it's not an April Fools joke.

If this research firm is at all accurate, Apple is more significant than you think...

There's actually enough difference between the two versions of the NES cartridge to make an experiment like this have the same results.

Could Broadway have been merged into a custom ARM chip? what about Hollywood?
There's an ARM chip embedded in Broadway already.  Look up "starlet".
Plausible or just crazy talk?
Given the amount of money Nintendo spent on the last die shrink, it would be much more cost-effective to go with something that already works well and is naturally backwards-compatible with DS.

So Nintendo discovered a better way to get players moving than Wii?

I've included the game list in the podcast article itself this time; I'm a little concerned that simpler mobile browsers may not render the style properly, thereby spoiling this episode's game selection, so let me know if you guys don't like this method.
Looks like they don't (testing with a phone emulator).  Maybe if you put them into abbr tag or used Javascript it would be better.

How can you tell with that picture quality? Even on the brightest setting, it still looks black.
There is something wrong with your monitor.

It's pretty wild how well they seem to move, say, the Morph Ball in 3D with just a dpad. I wonder if tilt is involved there...
Jumping into 1st person mode seems a little jarring, too, does that make you immobile?
Tilt is not involved.  You are immobile in first person (except for looking around).
Pretty certain everything will be on a track, much like Killer 7. Back, forth and up in the air are probably the only directions to go, so left and right on the D Pad is all thats needed.
It's not on a track.

TalkBack / Re: Blaster Master NES Sequel Coming to Virtual Console

It would be amazing if they made the game recently, but made real ROMs for it rather than simulating the NES like Mega Man 9/10.  This would allow it to work in emulators/Virtual Console and provide a ridiculous collectible.

I did a bit of checking... the seller appears to be Tom Bombaci, who is an actual long-time arcade collector.  However, he seems to be faking everyone out, pretending that it's somebody else.

What I really want to know is what happened between Sega and Dole.  Dole branded their earlier games, but now they've made a deal with Chiquita.

I bought Japanese versions of the two G&W Collections a long time ago.  They're half-ass efforts, though not as half-assed as the usual US Club Nintendo offerings.  Seriously, they aren't even trying.

TalkBack / Metroid: Other M Japanese Gameplay Trailer
« on: March 31, 2010, 09:28:59 AM »
New and old scenes combine to form the Japanese trailer.
 http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/newsArt.cfm?artid=22830

We saw a new trailer for Other M yesterday, but Nintendo has updated the Japanese Metroid site with their own version.  While much of the trailer repeats scenes from the English version, there are a number of new scenes, and other portions of the Mother Brain Super Metroid scene are shown.  Watch it below!

Team Ninja's lead actually had a name for this scheme.  He called it Famicom Game+.

I just came back from E3 2010.  My review will be in next month's Game Informer.
I take it that you've been playing the Nintendo 4DS.

but didn't you have to aim in Super Metroid?

It's not that the enemies are easy to defeat, it's that I don't even have to asim at them to hit them, I just have to face them and press 1111111 and it's done.
The difference is that enemies can now surround you from all sides (and top and bottom) en masse.  Having to target them would make it significantly harder.  I suppose games like PS360 Grinder do that, but in that case, you have spread weapons.

Awesome! If The Grinder comes out this year, I'm in trouble. I might actually have too much to play on the Wii.
Right now, the 360 Grinder release is set for Halloween 2011.

Missing anything? :)
Pokemon Mini, Visteon Dockable Entertainment, Wide Boy, Wide Boy 64, etc.

Fixed the profile entry bug.  Now you can add your Wii codes, etc. again.

The patch doesn't properly apply to core and needs to be fixed.

What's the DS for?  The cell phone is likely to have better resolution.
