Would it be possible to write a GCN emulator for the Wii? Is the Wii actually powerful enough for such a thing? No, at 1.5x specs of the GC, the Wii is far too weak to emulate the GC (a rule of thumb used to be that you'd need at least 10x power, and that would be with speed hacks). Instead, you'd need to rewrite the GC BIOS to take into account the additional hardware and emulate the LAN adapter. However, that additional hardware part is non-trivial because you'd have to write drivers for the Wii security and I/O systems, which the GC BIOS doesn't know exist. Going in the other direction, you might be able to run the GC game as Wii software, with hooks patched in memory to deal with the network and any Wii-isms. In either case, it would involve massive architecting that would be hard even if all of the technical information was publicly available.

From the Tanooki Suit to the game's name itself, Super Mario 3D Land's links to Super Mario Bros. 3 are numerous. In yet another neat throwback, the game includes letters similar to those that you receive from the Princess at the end of each world in Super Mario Bros. 3.
Unlike the original written letters, these letters are actually "photos" of Peach's circumstances during the game, featuring artwork done in the 2D style of the earlier Mario games. The dozen illustrations include stacked 3D layers, which move around and play sound effects when the 3DS is jiggled. Once unlocked, you can save these shots to SD card. We received ten of the pictures from an unnamed source, and you can see the artwork below (the final two likely come from clearing the extra stages). If you view this page in the 3DS web browser, you will be able to view the following images in 3D by tapping and holding on each image.
As for Mario Kart. Nintendo should have added Dry Bones Baby Mario for the creepy factor. He's the best racer for the new beach stage.
People bought NSMBWii, which was buying the same game twice for everyone who bought the DS game. I think the real problem for Nintendogs on 3DS was that the kind of people who'd buy it weren't willing to spend $250 on a 3DS.NSMBW is a substantially better game than NSMB, has four-player co-op, which was new for Mario, was in a different format (console vs. handheld), and came to an established system. What's the incentive for Nintendogs + cats? The cats? Fur?
Since the Euro is stronger then the dollar, games in Europe don't need to sell as much as they would in America in order to make profit, which would explain why NOE has had no problem releasing more games during this same time.Except that premise isn't true. The euro is not doing well either with respect to the yen, and it hasn't changed significantly against the dollar in the past year (they've both been up and down).

E3 2012 will feature the re-unveiling of Wii U and another wave of 3DS games.
Nintendo's got lots of money everywhere. That's my point. The euro hasn't tanked especially compared to the dollar, so I don't understand why they specifically said that unless it's just because of the general Eurozone financial crisis that's been a focus of the press lately.
I had read that they had a bunch of holding in US Dollars a while back.Right. What's confusing me is that this report specifically says Euro. I'm trying to figure out why that's relevant now.
That could be the reason for the major losses as the dollar is almost toilet paper at this point.
