When do you think Nintendo will make a level editor? It would be sick if the best four become a Cup of their own, changing each week to become another Cup.
I see that happening more with F-Zero than Mario Kart. Mario Kart's gotten too many complicated elements that would make it hard to make an editor (or we'd get severely gimped stages like in Brawl). F-Zero, on the other hand, has already received editors in the past.
Have you played Kirby's Avalanche or Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine? It's that game. It's a Tetris-style game where you match and clear colored blobs. Combos send garbage into the opponents playing field. I find it more fun than, say, Puzzle League or Dr. Mario. It's faster-paced and more complex than Dr. Mario, and unlike Puzzle League, individual pieces fall down.
The remaining Mario Kart 7 tracks have been revealed. Nintendo also released footage of the Star Cup, Leaf Cup, and Battle Stages. The track lists and videos follow.

Keep in mind, this is the company that designed a Wii Wheel with pass-through slot for MotionPlus because they "had it on good authority" that Nintendo would be putting out games needing it.
At E3, I talked to the guy who designed this, and mentioned how I couldn't use it since I have an extended battery pack, and asked if they would make something that did both, and he said that's something they were looking into for the next product iteration.
Gree actually bought OpenFeint earlier this year, which was a social gaming platform that was starting to gain traction in the US. I've tried to play Japanese Gree games on my phone, but they make you login with a Japanese mobile e-mail address, which I don't have.
Having imported a ton of used Japanese games, everything you've mentioned about the condition of the goods is true, but there is one downside... everything smells like cigarette smoke.
I saw a GREE ad in Silicon Valley. It featured a tentacled creature with the tagline "Huge in Japan." Edit: found it online
That actually seems to be a trend. I stopped playing Ocarina at the Forest Temple too. It's worse with Twilight Princess though since it's right up front and the whole beginning drags.
I had very strict teachers on grading back in high school and college, so yes that's exactly what that meant when I was in school. Taking into account the relative knowledge and skill expected of students my age, of course.
I would argue that granularity also matters. It's easier for a game to get a 10/10 than a 100/100. Your strict teachers are closer to ONM, which gave this game a 98, their highest score ever for a Wii game.
Just noticed Kmart is running a $50 coupon with $110 game software purchase (ends Sat). I guess we know where my holiday Nintendo games are coming from.
Edit: Not from them. They don't have much in stock that I want to buy.
Edit2: Second fail regarding the $15 credit for Super Mario 3D Land. The store hadn't gotten it in and didn't know when they might get it, as their shipment days are kept secret apparently due to security concerns.
I would guess it was something that was too much trouble to do initially in order to get the system out the door. Or maybe it made battery life even worse (like what happened with the PSP), but the screen battery breakthrough offset it.
