Sci-Fi channel on Fridays. Start watching! And the old show might be on your public television station. Also, at your local video rental establishment or public library. No excuses.

I love the series, I was as so-so Doctor Who fan before this series but now I'm a diehard fan.
If you think its good now, wait till the series really starts to get going.

Same here. Well, maybe not die-hard fan yet, but more a fan than before. The old show was before my time.

Well, that's Rare. Even Banjo Kazooie was pretty twisted.

...I don't know if that's good or not. I was raised on technically-clean-but-actually-quite-dark entertainment, and I turned out just fine!

Well. Maybe not fine. But I haven't gone on any murderous rampages or anything.

You put Nintendo was planning to release Twilight Princess worldwide by the end of 2004. I think you meant 2005.

More like 2006.

If Conker's BFD taught me anything, it's that Rare relishes the act of making people watch something unpleasant.

haha, and that's what I love about them. Remember in JFG, when the spaceship landed on dancing tribals?

Your review does leave me with some questions. What kind of load times can I expect of this Lindsey Lohan?

Also, these 'M' rated Lindsey Lohan websites that you mention, where are they?

Well lets just hope they really don't come out the same week as The Revolution. They're now saying 60gig HDD and Linux OS built in. Sony could take the loss and try to undercut with a price point under $500(usd). For everything that thing can do I'd be rather scared if I was MS. Nintendo on the other hand needs to have Zelda ready to combat this monster.

Linux built-in could really make a differnce. Suddenly, the ps3 isn't an expensive console but a cheap computer.

And, it's almost enough to make me want the ps3 to be somewhat succesful. It'd be worth it to have the mainstream realise there's other operating systems besides windows out there.

Things are just looking better and better for Nintendo.

Never underestimate Sony. They could screw up, but I think it's just as likely that they'll have the ps3 out in time for the holidays and at a semi-reasonable price point.

The fact that neither of you have been contacted makes me feel better about my chances....normally, iirc, the winners are contacted well in advance of the announcement, but perhaps not this time?

Until the game's in my DS actively proving me wrong...I'm still going to keep on assuming this will be the worst return to a classic series since the Phantom Menace.

The USB program should support DOS. As should every other program.

Seriouly. Windows is horribly designed, Macs are too expensive, but, DOS? What's bad to say about DOS?

I suppose that makes sense. It could be dangerous to split focus too much, though.

is very good.

It takes what was good about the old series, and then modernizes everything else. In a good way. Like OSX.

Also, the show is very fun. And Christopher Eccl-whatshisname is very good.

You should watch it.

General Chat / RE: Futurama to pull a Family Guy?
« on: March 19, 2006, 06:48:52 PM »
Old Simpsons > old Family Guy > Futurama > new Simpsons > American Dad >>>>> Baby Bob > new Family Guy

edit: on topic, I'm ecstatic that Futurama is coming back. Hopefully the series will come back newly improved instead, of say, horribly tarnished and no longer any good ala Family Guy.

I think the voices in your head and the voices in my head would really hit it off.

Wandering, Smash_Brother; Smash_Brother, Wandering. Smash_Brother, Wandering; Wandering Smash_Brother. Wandering, Smash_Brother, Smash_Brother, Wandering. Wandering, I assume you already know Wandering; and Smash_Brother, you of course know Smash_Brother.

If anyone wins a GameCube and finds themself with 2 GameCubes with a hankerin' to sell one for real cheap to a good home, let me know.

I'd give you my old one, but I was kind of planning on turning it into a lunchbox. You understand.

That's why you want one because the virtual console is the only rev feature that's really concrete right now. That's also why marketing shouldn't focus too much energy on it: the virtual console is an easy sell. Getting peolple to use and understand the controller will be the harder but more vital task.

Seriously, it's one of those things where you say to yourself, "Yeah, I'm sure I didn't win." then five minutes later, "But I wonder...if they've updated yet. I'll go check..."

I'm in the same place.

I never win these things, so I'm kind of in 'no way to win mode...I'm just checking the front page every 2 minutes to see what other people beat me with.' But then I'm like, 'well, I can't go in assuming I'll win, that'll jynx it and then I really won't.' And then I'm like, 'Well, I shouldn't have a glimmer of hope only to have it crushed!'

And then I'm like, 'Come on, Wandering, there are seven winners, of course I'm one of them!'

'are you kidding Wandering? Do you have any idea how elaborate all of the other entries are? These people worked months on their entries, you don't have a chance!'

'Well, listen, can't you just...'

'No! Shut up!'

'Well I just...'

'Shut the hell up!'

'If you keep yelling at me I'll hurt you again! I'll hit you over the head with a baseball bat just like last time!'

'DO it! Come on you bastard!'

'Stop it! Leave me alone!'

'You need me, Wandering, I'm the only one who's ever loved you. The only one who can ever help you.'

'I know.'

'Come on, let's have fun with model airplane glue together.'

'Okay.'

I finally listened to thing. It is nice to hear a mainstream organization speaking positively about the Revolution. Some nice quotes (not exact):

"You can't go mainstream and then put prices up"

Nintendo's going after "the real mainstream"

"All the people doing all these weird acts like cooking and surgery....everybody's going to want to do this stuff"

"Microsoft and Sony are chasing this do-everything box and it's all about expense and  it's all about expense and glitz and glamor and then Nintendo do what is really mainstream which is just provide stuff that a lot of people want to do." (then, sarcastically) "Imagine that! What a concept!"

edit: oh, I didn't listen to the whole thing, so I don't know how nemo was mentioned.

Imagine the forum without the bubble.

Not worth visiting.

Bubbles are nice. When radioactive zombie plague sweeps the world, I want to be living in a nice bio-dome bubble where the air is fresh and the grass is green.

The ads might be good if worked into some kind of long-form thing. You know what I mean. Press releases and such. I think your slogans are a bit too long/wordy for your standard ad.

Might be a good idea, like, a year into the rev's life. Until then, selling the new controller will be much more important, imho.

That'd be nice if that were changed. You know, with some forums, not only do they let you edit in the first minute, edits done during that time aren't even logged. That's nice.

Oh, the increased PM limit is great, btw.
