KDR pretty much nailed it. Some of us are either busy at the time of posting or are just feeling a little lazy. If there's a specific review that you want a Talkback thread on, feel free to send a message to a moderator and we'll get right on that. Since you mentioned it, I'll make a thread for Fire Emblem.

Stevey, that's so ridiculously disrespectful to Gunpei Yokoi (who, for those of you unaware, did pass away because of injuries involving a car accident) it's unbelievable.

"JM: We don't know exactly, we haven't finished the game yet. The essence is, first of all, that you can choose to play only with your friends, and friends we define as people you know in the real world. So there's a couple of different ways you can build up your buddy-list. One of the first ways is to personally interact it : I have my DS, you have yours, and we sort of exchange our contact information and add each other to our buddy list through the LAN. So when I go online, I know who you are and how to reach you. Nothing to worry about like screen name or things like that. Then if you have a friend with whom you can't meet personally but want to add to your buddy-list, there's of course a way to do that online."

He's implying that there are other ways to go about it. What's listed in the PGC article is just one of the plans that Nintendo has set up.

NWR Feedback / RE: Reviewing our reviews!
« on: August 12, 2005, 04:36:24 PM »
Ok, children, I'm going to talk to you about my review of Killer 7.

Killer 7 was the HARDEST GAME I HAD TO REVIEW EVER. I got through the game in about a week's time, but it took me an extra two days to write that damn little review you guys read. Why, you ask? Probably because I wrote it a hundred times, before realizing I was leaving important things out about halfway into each "session." Also because it took me at least 24 hours just to process the ending and figure out all of the little details (if you've beaten the game, you know what I mean). Hell, Killer 7 is STILL on my mind these days, just because of that story - sometimes I think about re-reviewing it. Not because of the score (because I STILL think it's 9-worthy, I don't care what Game Rankings says), but just because I want another crack and that titanium-tough piece of hardness that I call my Killer review.

TalkBack / Revolution Support From Nippon Ichi?
« on: August 04, 2005, 05:05:58 PM »
The famed Strategy/RPG developer may develop software for Nintendo's next-gen platform.

On August 2nd, Gamasutra held a Q&A session with Nippon Ichi Software America's Jack Niida on the company's past, present, and future. They eventually found themselves discussing the next generation of hardware:

Gamasutra: Will Nippon Ichi be making games for next gen?

Niida: We are seriously thinking of working to Xbox 360 and also Revolution.

It's important to note that Nippon Ichi has only released software for Sony platforms, with hits such as Disgaea on the PS2 and the upcoming Generation of Choas for the PSP. Support from NIS could be a big hit for the Revolution, as their titles have built up a strong cult following, both in the United States and in Japan.

I got Issue #3 today as well. I remember that it was a 6-month promotion, so I'm looking forward to the remaining 5 issues, after which I may even resubscribe. Really, the magazine's so good it might actually be worth paying for. The feature on Namco X Capcom was great, and on the whole, it's good to see that something rose from the ashes of GameFan.
