I was pleased that NOA actually still has CS reps in the US (yay acronyms!), it was refreshing.
Everyone else who ordered on Amazon, just go to a store and buy it and then return your Amazon copy when it comes.  Kind of a pain in the ass but that way you still get the CD.

Its happening all over again.

I love you for posting that.  That really was you snooze you lose.  My friend and I got to our Funcoland shortly after they opened on the 24th and were the first ones on the list and paid for the entire thing.  It was a good thing too 'cause they ended up getting a lot less gold carts than they had pre-orders.  Thank god the 24th was a Saturday.

Hopefully this will be resolved by Tuesday, when I get my copy of the game.

The site says that you have until midnight on the 20th to register to get the CD (I'm assuming that means Monday night and not a few hours from now).  You may want to pick one up at a store and then return your Amazon copy. Sucks for people who ordered online and won't even see that until they get it. =/

Wow, they didn't even bother with a real instruction booklet this time, just a fold out poster.  Lovely.

I've seen a few write-ups on this game lately and they always mention the dam level, which I never had any problems with.  The part I could never get past was the level where you're riding around in the Turtle Van and have to shoot the missiles.  I would always run out of missiles and could never find my way out (I think that's what happened anyway, it's been yeeeeears since I've played it).
I also never understood why all the turtles had the same color bandanas when I saw that box at the store (this was way back when grocery stores were actually good places to rent games). It was a huge revelation when I finally discovered the original Mirage comics.

Ohhh, refreshing. That fixed it.  How odd.  I'd been thinking that NWR got hit by the spree of hacking that's been going on.

Am I the only one who's getting just a page that says "Welcome go nginx!" when you try to go to the main site for the past few days? Since I can't find any other threads about it and from the Talkback forum it looks like stories are still being posted...

No dice, I bet you'll be able to get the entire bundle for $30 during holiday sales this year.

Why does Nintendo hate America?
Also, Traveller, I'm going to be in Sydney for about a month here in a few weeks.  Have you ever seen any of these show up in any second hand stores?  Or are there any good game stores in general you'd recommend (especially anywhere that might have cool Nintendo crap that never made it to the US)?

I imagine the lack of significant jiggle can be blamed on Itagaki not being there anymore.  A sad, sad day.

Hmmm, do you have Trilogy or the original Prime 3? That could be the issue, maybe.

The robot Buttercup is fighting in the third to last picture is an assassin from an early episode of Samurai Jack. If they're going to get that obscure with their fanservice this is a this is totally a day-1 buy.

I don't suppose anyone else still has vouchers sitting around for the non-Trilogy version of Corruption? I have 17 vouchers I can trade, and am looking for 15 credits.

"The game features activities such as kissing dangling Wii Remotes in pairs and spanking other players."

You mean the commercial featured those activities.  I didn't see anything in the gameplay itself (at least what was shown) that would require kissing and spanking.  It's just like golf and baseball in Wii Sports, how many people actually play like the commercials and promo pics, and how many people just flick their wrists?

So does having Miis now mean that Nintendo is just not going to bother coming up with actual characters for their games?

I love estarland.com.  Their used prices can be a bit higher than other places sometimes, but the games are always in fantastic condition, sometimes even re-shrinkwrapped, and they tell you if it's complete or not (and are priced accordingly).  And they have free shipping on used orders over $30, and I don't see any fine print that says no Alaska.
They also do trade-ins for store credit, and even let you use the credit before you've sent them the game.  I've never done this though so I can't say if there are ever any problems.
