Nintendo Gaming / RE:NEW Super Mario Bros. Title?
« on: March 26, 2006, 02:33:45 PM »
Well if this is the re rendition of Mario Bros 1 I hope they continue the chain,  I think quasi newly done Mario Bros 2 would be quite trippy.

The real question will be if the fairy will be annoying or not.

I like it how when waaaaaaaaaaaay back we were talking about Zelda DS that it was a minority of us wanting 3-D zelda and everyone else was like " OH NOES NOT OUR PRECIOUS HANDHELD ZELDA THEY CANT DO IT TO US WE WANT OUT 2-Dness ZELDA WILL BE RUINED :: WAILS :: " Yet, now all of you are like "Awesome~!"  Is this because you are just dealing with what Nintendo dealt you or are you people telling me now that you actually ARE for 3-D reitterations of Nintendo Classic IP's on the Ds?

What made SMB3 for me was its power ups and how many there were, I am starting to doubt this one will have something even close to that number.   : /  Still looking forward to this game tho!

but who honestly is that familiar with Cube hardware

Nintendo
Capcom
Ea
SquareEnix
Camelot
Namco
Sega
Ubisoft

That is plenty of developers to produce something.  Plus honestly I see Zelda making a summer game, and Rev close in the fall.

TalkBack / RE:Game Arrangements Available for Band & Orchestra
« on: March 18, 2006, 03:41:06 AM »
My lil brother ended up doin Mario Bros for marching band, the school we went to is kind of lame so it sucked but still the fact that they played it was cool.   Some music programs are getting with the times, I know we did Star Wars Episode I and Harry Potter one year.   Getting music that the people in the band and orchestra want to play and music the audience WANTS to hear is a good step in improving your music program, but I know you still gotta learn the classics.

Its mostly because they get reduced to nothing and then people buy them all up and use them as stocking stuffers.  Seriously I have seen it with my own eyes, Christmas time = the best sales for crappy cheap games.

Yeah but seriously as much as I would kill for FF7-9 on the Ds, we still have yet to recieve FF3 and CC.  They have not shown anything on CC making me believe it has some sort of interactivity with FFCC:Rev.  Heres to hoping we get the entire FF collection eventually on Nintendo's side (well at least as far as Ps1 games go)   I could go for some Chrono Cross Ds too !

Yet may I remind you that the winner was based on a "sword type of game"  Even though the game was outside the typical "sword game" box it typically is a sword game.

Yeah but remember the Wifi title they are workin on the Ds.  If that one proves to be a great title who knows if it will have a Revolution counterpart.   It really makes sense because of the wifi on both accounts.  Personally the only HM title I am looking forward to is the new "wifi rpg give a farmer a sword" one for the ds.  I like the idea of going around the world catching monsters and forcing them to work on your farm.  It is like a cruel Pokemon but funnier.

I dunno I really am a fan of the white one I don't care for the navy. . . . Black would be cool but Nintendo never really goes with black they always go with some charcoalish color, not black black.

Those blueprints show the screens in 2 screen clusters, my thoughts is this had to do with mario kart DS look at the spacing.

Even tho the games graphics are kind of blah compared to some of the other rpgs comin out, I love the magic system!  Plus, if I heard right studio ghibli is doin animated cutscenes for the game and I just cant miss an opportunity like that.

I think he was being sarcastic because people constantly complain that Nintendo is thinking too much about this non gamer games.  Some think that they will cater too much to this new audience and leave the hardcore gamers out in the cold.  I know they haven't and theres a 99.9% itll never happen.

Is that touch screen raised? (Weird shadow on the image). That might be kind of awkward in quick-draw moments (e.g. Castlevania DoS). Otherwise I like it.

To me the bottom touch screen looks raised and the top screen looks embedded a little deeper than normal to accomodate the bottom screen.

My DS's left shoulder button just stopped working, this is perfect timing!  Nintendo offered a refurbished one for 65.00 but hell I'll wait!  I was gonna import a white DS from Japan but I'll be patient!

Ps Does anyone see if they changed the screen size?, i see it talking about the system's size goin down but not the screen, and is that a bigger stylus?

I go to anime conventions, and the Ds is sooooooo popular there.  People talkin in pictochat up to the wazoo.  Last year it kind of sucked because most of the good games hadnt come out yet.  I will remember though that the second one I went to towards the end of the year had me and my younger brother waiting in a 3 hour waiting line to get in.  In front of us was a guy who had recently recieved jump superstars and the fact that 3 others could play without the game was beautiful.  I cant wait until this year when games like mario kart and animal crossing will out and about the convention halls.
