General Gaming / E3 is dead . . . . I never thought I'd see the day

Yeah so ummm wow this really sucks.  I imagined the day when I could be at E3 for once as a GAME DEVELOPER this sucks so much : (.  That nintendo fusion concert seems good about now because I could use being with sad depressed people.

Anyone ever been to one of these?

Yes, am I the only one that has lol?  I went when they had a decent band called My Chemical Romance :P.  The way it runs is that they have two main large rooms.  One for gaming and the other a Concert hall.   In the gaming room it was like a mini E3 there were cube kiosks everywhere filled with some of the best Nintendo Party games I.E. Smash, Fzero, Mario Kart, etc etc.  There were Nintendo Booth babes carrying strap on GBA's offering you to take them on in random games that were coming out that christmas season.  AND WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY at the top of a large stair case in a glass case with a spotlight on it was the DS.  This was the september before the DS launch.  I will never forget the Nintendo rep asking me about the Ds and I could name all of its specs, date, and all of its functions.  They were completely blown away because they did not even know about it, which indeed saddens me.  . . . WHY DOES NINTENDO HIRE PEOPLE WHO REPRESENT THEM YET DONT EVEN KNOW ABOUT THEIR OWN FREAKIN PRODUCTS. . .  Any of us could do a damn better job.   But anywhoo back to the concert thing, you are free to go between rooms at all times saving you from listening to any band you rather avoid which in this case might be ALL of them . : (  I had no problem goin from game to game YET you guys might since it is a Wii event.  I am sure people are going not even for the bands and just wanting a chance to play wii, regardless tho the positive thing here is that it wont be E3 like lines.

Do not forget to ask the PR people for free Nintendo stuff they usually are giving it out .

The team made also many researches about the occidental perception about Japan. They made two trips for that in August 05 and in March 06. In March the team's Artistic Director brought back about 7.000 pictures. The team also worked closely with our Japanese subs. And finally it made some research in the US. Two or three times it visited some Japanese quarters in the US cities in order to better understand some US perception of Japan.

Smashbrother is right they are really pouring ancient japanese history into this game.  I even hear a giant enemy crab might be running the japanese mafia.

All joking aside, 7,000 reference pictures and several trips to japan is not cheap to do, they want this game to look and feel authentic.  This game is supposed to be made in such a way that at the end of the Wii's life we should look at this game and still be amazed at how it pioneered gun and sword games.  Afterall, this will be the first game to use a FPSword with the Wii.

The theme song will be done by Celine Dion done in complete Engrish to give that whole Japanese/American theme, entitled "The rife of a rone samurlai"  The single will make its debut a week before the launch of the Wii.  It is also told if you go to her official site a.k.a.

http://www.celinedion.com/

Located in the rolling text on the side is a hidden magic eye puzzle.  If you cross your eyes long enough the date of the Wii will appear to you.

I dunno we kind of have been getting Capcom Ds titles. . . .

Megaman Battle Network 5
Megaman ZX
New Megaman EXE title
Viewtiful Joe
RE

Thats five titles right there, yet I agree that is way too many PSP to DS titles.  We should be getting more. . . .

I think Viewtiful Joe would be awesome to add to SSBB BUT what makes him cool is all of his special powers i.e. slow down time, fasten it up, zoom, etc etc.   I do not think that would work all too well with the current setup.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:DS games that detect GBA games...
« on: July 20, 2006, 09:08:22 AM »
Early Ds games like Feel the magic and Kirby Canvas Curse used it but it is a feature I think most have forgotten about since the GBA library is sort of dying a slow painful death.  Perhaps Pokemon magical Dungeon will use it since there is a DS and GBA game.

Ok this is what I know and have heard.  Anything to do with the "Fusing" of armor comes from the absolutely new series ZX.  This one I do not even think is going to be called Exe.  They wanted to start from scratch with the Exe series.  They figured if they had to start on a new system they wanted to appeal to a new fanbase by recreating a new storyline and plot.  In matter of fact I would not  be surprised if this was like 100 years later after the Megaman Exe storyline.  If I remember the link where I got this info I will post it back up here.

Nintendo Gaming / Darkhearts custom shirt shop
« on: April 26, 2006, 05:02:58 PM »
I just got my wifi dongle and even tho I don't play ACWW much anymore I was thinkin of startin it back up but in the proccess start up my own lil shop.  This shop would be open to anyone here and would feature

Custom Shirts: Designs all done by request and for varied prices pending on how detailed the design.  For example a simple kirby would be easy and done in a short amount of time, compared to a 3-d rendering of Zelda.

Custom Paintings: Same as above

Custom Templates:  I would charge higher prices than the other two because then you would be able to stick it onto anything.

???Custom floor Murals:  This is something that would take forever but I am pondering on offering the service.

Please let me know if anyone is or would be interested, if I get at least 2-3 people I will drag out my ACWW and start it all up.

Edit: I don't really want that though! Bring KHIII to the Revolution!

OMG I totally never thought of keyblade/revmote interaction~! :0~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ :: Druels :: That would be so awesome to stick out your arm and have the beam of light shoot out to lock up another world.  Hell if it ever makes it to Rev they could have Nintendo themed worlds :0.  Why not?  Square whores their FF characters in there so why can't nintendo?  Travel to Hyrule and defeat the heartless whos being controlled by Ganondorf.   Sora and Link fighting side by side!  I actually think this could be quite feasible with the friendly ties with square and nintendo as of lately.

Anywhoo beat the game already and I have to admit I enjoyed the game but it didn't live up to all of its hype they built up with the game.  A plot two and half times the size of the first?  At one point they said the game was so big it was going to have to be placed on two count them, two discs :/.  I highly reccomend watching the secret ending for the game though, its quite jaw dropping.
