I got the middle version, no chanting in the fire temple ( I download a sample and I feel cheated, it sounded so much better with the chanting), but I had the shield with the crecent and stars.

I have yet to see how the remote is supposedly great for sword fighting. Sword fighting isn't that great to begin with, specially in first person.

Except for the slow in frame rate I also didn't have any problems with MM. did the GC version have any slowdowns or was that fixed? Ive heard the problem is with the emulation of the expansion pack, I hope the game comes to the VC in perfect shape.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Tingle's Freshly-picked Pink-colored Rupee Land
« on: September 03, 2006, 01:07:57 PM »
"I'm a little surprised that Tingle, who prances around in green tights and pointy green hat, wants to be surrounded by beautiful women, but I think that scene is honestly supposed to be ironic."

It had to be our ridiculous game culture of the west, where if a man wears tighs he's gay. Tingle's outfit is very likely to be a joke about cosplay, after all Tingle is an inside joke on otaku, specially Zelda otakus. He fits the stereotype perfectly, he's obsessed about the kokiri and their world, doesn't have a real job and his father is embarrased, not that he does things that do not fit his gender, but things that do not fit with his age. Of course in this game and the Wind Waker he turned on the capitalist side, but his origins are very clear about being an inside parody on the Zelda nuts, i.e. a parody of us, maybe thats what people don't like, that they are seeing themselves in him and its not a pretty picture.

So... it even has cooking minigames, I can't wait! please Nintendo localize this game!

I dont see how you can make it more pretty, is already a beautiful game, and certainly more polygons aren't going to do anything at all. If it really was moved I can only hope they had a good reason, i.e. not a financial one.

teh boring!

now if there is a dungeon or town every riding minute I'll be happy.

Im being generous actually, a minute is a long time and can get boring easily, better if its close to 30 seconds (or less!) of distance between locations, of course thats whishful thinking, thats close to 100 locations, simply impossible.

I dont understand any of this...

anyway, what I do know is that my ISP has dinamic IP, so I don't know how an IP ban could work with me, every time I  reconect I have a different one.

Pikmin 2 and MM are both perfect sequels. Pikmin 1 was flawed so it needed desperatly those changes, Ocarina was near perfect so it needed a new and interesting direction instead, to become... I don't know... uber perfect I guess.

this is a great idea, I don't like the lazy design, its just characters instead of locations but this could be the redeeming factor for the board game.

what is this? Ian is no more troll than any of you (ok... us). This is nonsense, if you can't take anything negative about Nintendo you need to reflect upon yourself and realize that maybe your fanboyism has gone too far.

and whats with nemo? he does have this awful ideas for metroid but he's no troll, you people have the weirdest standards.

Are you kidding me? You have a LIFETIME of experience with 3D controls.

This is why my dad pushes the controller forward when he wants to run faster in Madden.

One of my biggest concerns is sensitivity, I saw that cursor in all those games shaking uncontrollably and it made me feel very frustrated. Maybe the people playing them sucked, maybe the sensitivity can be adjusted, but not one single demo made me feel ok with it, so I really want to try it in those scenarios when you need to point precisely, to see if it really is fun or just frustrating.
