It doesn't look too bad.

The end bit of the trailer focused on irritating the animals and made me imagine what a Steve Irwin game would be like (you have to admit, the man spent a lot of time poking and prodding dangerous animals).

You are welcome S_B.So Tanatoes and Flames of Chaos haven't got their present.

GP gave me the Master Sword a while back to add to my Nintendo collection as well so it's coming along nicely. :)

This is already confirmed best version of Dead Rising because it's playable on proper TVs.

Pretty much.

If you want great turnip prices, the gamefaqs AC board is your best bet.

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/gentopic.php?board=933195

You'll find someone there whose Nook is buying turnips for some insane price, like 400+. They'll ask for a commission on your sale, like 30-50k. A full load of 1500 turnips can sell for 700k+ bells with a single one of these visits, so 50k commission is chump change.

In the TV edit of Dusk Til Dawn, the name of the bar was changed to "Kitty Twister"...

Gaming journalists aren't traditional journalists. They stopped being traditional the moment they started reviewing games. Journalists report the news. That's all they're supposed to do, and it's very often you'll find that most journalists aren't necessarily even enthusiastic about the subject matter, it's just what they're paid to do.

But the gaming media IS composed of gaming enthusiasts. Why would someone choose to become a gaming journalist unless they actually LIKED games in the first place?

You're not indifferent. You write reviews, you have opinions. This is the norm, but you are also LISTENED TO, and as such you have the power to push certain projects up into the limelight and get them noticed.

I say do it. Why not? Journalistic integrity stems from not taking bribes for good review scores, not letting potentially good games flounder and fail while crap succeeds.

If anything, trying to help good software succeed is basically the ultimate critique of the gaming industry as a whole. You're basically pointing out to publishers how full of **** they are and saying, "Here, we're going to do your job FOR you." If a publisher like Sega is humble enough to accept your advice, more power to them.

I think JRPGs flooded in because, until the days of HD gaming, they were REALLY easy to make. A turn-based battle system removes 98% of the player doing something to break the combat of the game by accident, meaning you're basically just managing scripting, data and assets.

The real problem is that JRPGs (and largely RPGs in general) exist on the back of a good story, and I haven't seen too many JRPG stories as of late that weren't horribly cliched, poorly translated or both.

I'm going to try an experiment: I'm going to mail one of my animals an entire gracie set and see how much of it finds its way into their house.

Today was a flea market so I bought out half of Kiki's furniture. I know that sending an animal something will cause them to put it in their house. I just wonder to what extent this works...

nibris has to be the worst "developer" ever.

I've come to dislike them because I found it harder to submit news about indie devs working on Wii projects because gaming sites "don't want to be duped by another Nibris." and I can't blame them for not wanting to look foolish. :\

...Hence why I stand by my stance that publishers are, in fact, the fucking devil.

I've been fortunate enough to witness a project before and after a publisher dropped the hammer and it was startling. What was previously an amazing game was reduced to a shadow of its former self.

well i'm special

I assumed this might be the case, but I wasn't going to say anything. ;)

As for the net, I found this in a walkthrough:

" -Silver Net-
Once Nook's has upgraded (see the Nook's section
below), every so often he will stock a silver tool.
Slightly larger than the normal Net and made of sleek
silver thread, it slices through the air more quietly,
making it easier to catch bugs."

Ok, I connected to Wifi again last night then disconnected after a while. My town should hopefully no longer be showing up as open.

It was awesome in RE4, after all.

Yeah, I guess the only option is to go out and buy an SD card reader of some kind. :\

...

I thought I had killed B_S the last time, but I apparently didn't push the knife in deep enough. Damn him, he who plagues this world like a malignant cancer who knows no cure.

Even if the it takes the water of my very soul, I will extinguish his flame of malevolence once and for all!

But seriously, I suspect NWF is messed up and it's showing Armak an old copy of my town from last night before the disconnect when Pap and GP were in my town. It's definitely not my GF because she hasn't swapped codes with Armak.

I see SB's gate is open but it won't let me in his town... says that you've either disconnected already or have taken me off your friend roster, but whatever the case, I can't get in.

I'm at work right now so my gate is DEFINITELY not open at present...

And you're registered on my friend's list.

Sad I lost all the stuff SB gave me and my fish :(

Everything but the fish will be in the mail tomorrow. ;)

But I think that was actually my internet hiccuping, which it has NEVER done in the past. My laptop lost internet at the same time so I don't blame Wifi.

And that was a LOT of fun. I'm sure Pap will have some funny pics from that session.
