I think the character will still have that element to it.  Afterall, Tony does tinker with it.  I wonder if Scarlett Witch will cast a " Avengers Disassemble " spell and that causes all the fighting in team...but honestly, having them fight again is kinda silly.

I am beginning to think this was all fake.  I would not be surprised is this was a marketing ploy gone very wrong.

Sony thought that they could hype up their movie with a "real hack."  I would not be surprised if in the end all the information leaked was fake...and all these stories were advertisements for the movie.

The biggest clue to this would be the hackers themselves talking about a Christmas Present on Christmas Day and then we got the movie that nobody was supposed to because supposedly Sony won.

Now, you might say what about all the damages and movie leaks...perhaps they believed that the release of those movies wouldn't truly have a negative effect.  I dunno...I just feel this could all be fake.

On the other hand, if it is real...and not North Korea...somebody is going to get caught and go to jail...only to be hired by the government to see how he did it.

Or the whole Interview movie to hide their tracks.  Another scary idea is this has nothing to do with The Interview or North Korea, but to avoid a panic from a huge cyber attack the FBI and Sony lied about North Korea's involvement.

The other idea is that the money was a red herring...a false demand, to see how Sony would respond...or something added by the hackers for NK, but not part of the officially sactioned demands...or to even throw suspicion off of NK.

Honestly I am torn.

I do not agree with this type of terrorism.  But I find it really humorous that Sony was in such a security breach and so ignorant and foolish about it that they let THIS much information leak.

I also think The Interview is a pretty horrible idea for a movie...even a dark comedy and showing a sitting world leader get assassinated is pretty tasteless and I can understand why North Korea and really the world should want this movie pulled.  It should have never been made in the first place.

Then again you should not never give into terrorism so I do not think Sony should have pulled it. (They should have never made it in the first place.)  But if Sony doesn't give into the demands then they have to deal with the consequences of foolish security protocols.  So let's see what happens with this movie and the hackers.

I predict that IF this is truly North Korea, they will release more things because of the internet outage and the movie releasing again.

You can disagree with me.  I don't mind...people have different opinions.

I wonder if the hackers will release anything on Christmas now that Sony seems considering releasing the movie again.

Everything shared in the wild will first be approved by Nintendo.  However, I am sure you can send levels to your friends without needing to be approved...

MAYBE.

Insanolord:  South Koreans know far better than anyone else how much of a joke North Korea is.  It is a fact that the reason they have the largest army in the world is literally every citizen is required to be apart of it...but that means that half the army is starving.  In fact, there was a story not to long ago here in Korea talking about the North Korean Army and how they can't do regular routines of exercise because the army doesn't have the strength for it.

So South Korea is bailing North Korea out with food and support throughout the year to build up the relationship.  In fact, recently North and South Korea have been trying to slow the propaganda against each other.

UncleBob:  I would think an appropriate response would be to support LiNK.  Liberty in North Korea...and help smuggle citizens out of North Korea to freedom.

$2,000 can save a persons life.  Imagine if the government was too support a program like when North Korea acted out and saved hundreds or thousands of lives?

[...]the government can shut down the internet if it wants to.

Was there really ever any doubt that they could in the first place?

The government brought the internet into this world and it can damn sure take it out.

Yes, but that doesn't mean it should.  Think about the power right there.  Entire economies are dependent on internet business and transactions...that should concern everybody.  Now, I don't believe the government is going to take out the internet...but the fact that it is possible...and possible on a targeted nation scale is pretty scary.

If the US government is really behind the internet outages in North Korea, then that is some pretty scary stuff the US government can do...and we should not be celebrating but concerned because it basically means the government can shut down the internet if it wants to.

Watching Avatar will give you no clues who Korra is...not really.

You know, you wouldn't have to pay North Korea to do it.  If it was really a fake just hack yourself and release false information then make everyone believe it is true.  Release some movies that wouldn't do great to the public and what not, and it is a great plan.

However, we know the information that was leaked was real, and so it definitely isn't a fake.

Well, just this rumor alone will help us get that "Christmas gift" the hackers promised us.  But it also means that the hackers will release more damning stuff against Sony if they have anything.  Let's see what happens next.

Personally, I kinda like the card idea.  It would be cheaper...easier to carry around, and you can keep you nice collected figures on display or in the box.

It seems the levels might be short...but then they may just be showing us one size.  Perhaps you can choose from 3 sizes or something.

Personally, I would hope we can have

1) an Auto scroll feature for the levels.
2) Descent Vertical control.  I think at least 2 full screens for vertical level design would be great.
3) Play as Mario, Toad, Peach, and Luigi...all with their unique attributes.

Which Unclebob, I beilieve is an intelligent, and wise.  The issue of homosexuality in America is devisive.   Korra may be a progressive cartoon, but it is still a cartoon that can influence kids.  It is best to tell your story in a way that respects all views and concerns, because of the potential target audience.

Not happy with the ending for a single reason...  The ending was purposely left just ambiguous enough that Nick/whomever could wave it off.  "Oh, they're just really good friends going on an adventure together."

If they were going to do the thing, they should have just done the thing.  Not half-assed it in a way that lets them double-talk out of it to upset soccer moms.

This is where I disagree.  You don't have to beat somebody over the head with "reveal."  Let people discover it themselves, or not.  It makes the ending more classy, and allows adults to get something different, than kids will get from it.

TalkBack / Re: Zelda Wii U, Star Fox Compatible with Amiibo
« on: December 18, 2014, 07:18:57 PM »
I don't understand why this is "considering supporting."  Once Nintendo decided to go and make toys, they should have decided to implement support in most or all of their games.

I don't care how little or how big it is.  The people that bought Amiibo should get some sort of support.  If Nintendo isn't committed to do that, then Nintendo should not have entered into this style of game support.

So what would I like to see?

Well, for Star Fox they could make a random level generator.  This would be a a quick on-rails level that takes enemies and patterns and put them together.  This feature could be used to create special bonus levels designed by the creators of various franchises.  (So they would use it more as a level editor.)

For Link, having themed costumes would be cool.  Another idea would be just adding "Zelda" themed Nintendo characters into the world.  So I can scan Princess Peach and she would appear in the game somewhere.  And I can do a mini-quest for her.  Maybe pick apples for her, or find a special pink apple and get a reward.  Captain Falcon can race me on his "horse" and what not.

I don't think the hackers will stop.  They have too much power with this.  You never give in to terrorists, especially when they already have your data.

Something tells me Nintendo has already thought of that.

I am sure they can give you retries…like shoot agains in pinball if you miss all your tries.  But also, it appears to be very forgiving.

That is all fair.

I am just not going to be hyper critical...all of these shows have had silly moments like that...The Flash and the Super Sonic Punch was one too.  And I am sure even in this great season of Shield there have been some silly combat moments.

Arrow is just not doing it for me in S3. The freshman and sophmore efforts from The Flash an AoS are just doing it better.

Between Amell's 1 expression, Thea with the fighting irish stance and cartoon leap out the window screaming "Hammer Time" as she leaps, and the amateur sword fight against Ra's, it's all just so meh.

I really hope they get things going in the 2nd half, and I'm not sure how that's gonna play out since the next few episodes will be on Roy stepping up and then Laurel becoming Canary. with probably a background story of Ollie getting thrown in the Lazarus Pit, probably once they realize that he was lying about being Sarah's killer. The Glau effect has hit this show hard as far as I'm concerned, so I really hope Ra's become a major focus and a menacing threat.
Oh, and next time Ollie swings a sword at them, he should probably not swing 2 feet above the head if he intends to land that blow.

You know I am OK with that sword fight.  Look you are not going to get expert swordsmen and fighters for TV budget.  They needed to show Ra is a serious threat...someone that can defeat the Arrow.  And as far as stringing together an interesting coherent story, this series has done a very consistent job of telling believable stories.  Now, the fact the both Thea and Laurel appear to becoming skilled fighters in a short time is annoying, but is completely normal in the world of comic books and comic book series.

I am curious who saves Oliver.  My bet originally was on Ra or a member of the League.  Ra already knew that Oliver didn't kill Sarah.  I think he accepted the challenge to prove a point...and bringing the Arrow back to life and having a more serious conversation the murder and the Dark Archer.  This season Oliver has to choose family or the Arrow, and I think he will choose family every time...and that is what causes the war with the assassins that is to come.

But, I am still enjoying this season...it is not as good as last season, but it is still entertaining television.

If Marvel was to get Spiderman and must share Spiderman there is really only one thing to do.  Separate the two Spidermen.

I would include Spiderman in Captain America 3, and treat Spiderman like Hawkeye and Black Widow for awhile.  Let him have appearances in other movies and even TV shows.  Incorporate him into the universe but don't stress making a movie about him...and use a different actor to be Spiderman.

Next, I would just help Sony get a good Spiderman franchise going.  Andrew Garfield isn't a horrible Spiderman.  He can work fine.  But they have to get the tone right.  Let Marvel help make the tone of the movies, and I even like the idea of a Sinister Six movie being developed.  Spiderman MUST be in the movie, but focus the movie more on the relationships of the villains, coming together and learning to work together.  Then have it filmed at the same time as the next Spiderman movie and once the relationships are formed let it be an a Spiderman movie that tells their downfall.

At any rate, Marvel doesn't NEED Spiderman, so let Spiderman be a character in the background.

Finally finished watching Arrow, up to the mid-season finale, and that has got to be the best finale I have seen in awhile.  Obviously, if you are a DC comic fan you know HOW they can get away with that...and WHAT they will do to fix it...but DANG, I still can't believe it was such a good episode.

Of course we can predict what will be happening for the next few episodes...personally, I can't wait for Crazy Arrow after a certain pit is used.
