I would guess so. Seeing as there are equal or greater flames going on against componet cable shortage.

If you've got an order in for component cables with Nintendo and it was placed before 11/22,  start checking your order status. Mine just shipped.

woo. My component cables shipped today, check your order status. I ordered mine on 11/15. UPS Red = Delivered tomorrow.

Now the waiting game for my Zelda Guide + Soundtrack begins.

Really? Well, i'll just have to defer to you on that then. I personally wouldn't put Resistance at the same level as FF.

Edit:

To clarify a bit, I guess.... The idea is that there is going to be a "battle" going on between Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft during November, the results of which will, of course, be brought to us by NPD. If you're going to go to battle with your rivals, I don't think Sony would do well to bring along "Resistance" when they could bring along say, Final Fantasy.

Gears and Zelda are all that and a bag of chips. Resistance? I dunno, I guess I'll just have to defer to you. But I do think it is telling that the person who made the video chose (for the PS3) to ignore Resistance in favor a PS2 game.

Right, but Resistance just doesn't have the same weight as FF. Of similarity to hyping the GameCube with Luigi's Mansion.

Actually, they didn't use *any* PS3 game. Look at the video again, pause it even, its FF XII  (12), a PS2 game.

With the controller gloves... can you not just cut out a portion of the rubber where the battery lid cover is? If you like the extra grip the rubber gives you.. you could just use double sided tape or some other kind of adhesive to stick the rubber to the battery lid, yet allow you to switch the batteries easy.

Wheee, Grenades can be fun. I should know, i've thrown a few. But, I wouldn't put much effort in replying unless cbeer makes a return. While his profile is hidden, a quick author search shows this thread post as his only post. So I wouldn't get to discorded over the thread topic.

Perhaps MaryJane was asking about US numbers. It has been released here. I'd think someone would have release day numbers or something....

Well, "tie in ratio" is an average... so either everyone bought exactly 3 games with their system or some people bought more. I'm sure the bundles are counted as well, but EB/GS were not allocated as my units as say Target, WalMart, BestBuy, Circuit City, and such were. So i'd have to imagine amoung the non-bundled systems more then 3 games were perchased by more then a few people.

I can anecdotally atest to this. I personally bought 4 games, my friend bought 5 with his system, other people in the checkout line were buying 3 and 4 games. Some were just only buying Zelda, too.

I figured the PS2 would hang on better... 3 weeks ago it was 20k, 2 weeks ago 16k, and now this past week its struggling just to make 15k... Sure hope it gets a holiday kick in the pants other wise the _Xbox360_ is going to start out selling it.

On the Nintendo side of things... at least it's not nearly as dismal as the GC sales are. I'd expect those to flatline about the time Wii is released. Speaking of things dropped like a bad habbit, wow, look at those Phat style DS sales... its hanging out with the Xbox and GBA big time. Thank be to heaven for the DSlite, just clobbering everyone and the PSP by 7.7:1...

Last year was just insane with the store shelves just stripped bare and Nintendo apologizing, I sure hope nintendo is braced for impact...

Well, I don't know why they changed the A/V port, but i'm guessing it has something to do with combining the digital A/V (componet out) with the standard A/V out. That or they just wanted to sell new cables. I'm going with the former though.

Also not all Gundams can transform, like a little less then half, where as all Transformers transform by definition.

It's not hard to understand, HD is superficial. You can create a graphically amazing game, Zelda:TP, without HD. Great graphics are not mutually exclusive of Hi-Def. But, i'm obviously not going to win that argument, because of the sensitivity to the subject around here.

I am still wondering why we have the delay in getting these cables out to start with, though, since S-video cables for the cube were out BEFORE it launched and I remember that because I hooked up my N64 via S-video before using it with the cube.
Well, I can't claim to be an expert on the matter, but the N64 and Cube share identical A/V out ports. And geez since that A/V out port was introduced on the SNES... wow I wonder why it's not a surprise that GameCube had S-video cables availible at launch.

More relavant though is that there wasn't this hyper-sensitivity to "high-def" with the cubes launch. I mean, I wasn't hanging out here at the GameCubes launch, so you'll have to fill me in... But were new Cube owners really as hyper-spazticly defaming Nintendo at launch as they're defaming Nintendo now for not having component cables?

I totally get why people want the componet cables, but just I don't get this hyper-spaztic, I NEEDED THEM YESTERDAY reaction. It's totally uncalled for. You'll survive on composite until they arrive.
