Was going to post this too, very surprised about all of this. I remember the Red Steel demo years back at E3, the guy had a bit of trouble just aiming and doing various simple things. I thought "aww man" well there goes that game, I instantly knew it would be garbage. Well this don't look good for Microsoft, not at all. But I doubt it could be this mess when it launches. Then again...

Awesome and uplifting Nintendo Power interview. Here is a link to the interview thanks to Illuminous_Orb from this place http://board.sonicstadium.org/topic/4549-sonic-4-interview-in-latest-nintendo-power/page__st__180__p__136175&#entry136175

Come on, doesn't this make any of you feel better? The homing attacked isn't shoe horned in like the Advanced series and there will be 12 levels in the first episode.

EDIT:
Man these rules! Things were easier when I didn't even understand copy and paste.

Where did he say that?

I really don't think Nintendo would pull a lazy 3rd party on us and use an unknown game as a test for a game that we all know.

I'm not sure where he said that, you didn't post a link to a source when you told me about it.  :P: :

BNM: No Comment.......

HAHAHAHA! So did Miyamoto really say that? I'm sure I would have remembered something like that had I saw the actual source. He's no dummy, he should know what people want and don't want out of a new Star Fox.

And Kytim, thats how the lock on works on Star Wolf, your not intended to bomb them away like that and shoot them with charged blasts.

Remember some years ago Miyamoto's list of all time favorite games? It may have changed by now but it went 1 - Super Mario World. 2 - Zelda a Link to the Past. 3 Star Fox 64. I think many were very surprised by that.

Being one of is all time favorites i'm sure there is an urge to make an even better one. Come on make it happen Miyamoto.

It was a stealth mode thanks! I went to some fire wall settings, put it down for a moment and badabingbadboom there it was. Again good looking out!

Hey Huggles, I had to get a new router or what ever this device is that gets me online, but my Wii can't seem to find an access point, any help?

Co-op in Nintendo games is the wave of the future! Does anyone else remember those interviews about Assualt possibly being 4 player co-op? I sure do.

I personaly hate being on foot in Star Fox, but if Nintendo insisted on it, I would trust they would make it alright. But man, co-op land masters, all range mode, blue marines, and most of all linear stages would be a blast. I think the co-op alone would be anough to merit a sequal.

Seems like we havn't heard anything about anything in forever. I'd love for one of the NWR staff to ask whats up with Star Fox next time they get another interview with whoever Star Fox could concern.

I forgot what Miyamoto said in the last interview regarding Star Fox, but it was nothing good. He seemed to be confused as to why it wasn't doing well. Really?! Nintendo just needs to do another Star Fox themselves! I enjoyed Command Mission but would not want another game like that. Give me some fast paced SF 64 like action and multiplayer along with some Wii Sports Resort flying controlles and I would be sold.

I understand that Nintendo was trying to rebuild its relations last generation with developers, by loaning out their franchises and it gave them a chance to work on new things. But good god no more please! Adventures and Assault were the worst pieces of crap last generation!

Star Fox will be revived one way or another thats for sure. And it could be Nintendo's big multiplayer game. Some of my fondest multiplayer memories came from SF64. Imagine 16+ people flying around dog fighting like crazy? With tanks on the ground blasting away as well? If there has to be on foot shooting I would trust Nintendo to do it right.  As long as the speed of the vehicles returns and there arent any vehicles that truely shine over others it would make for a fantastic experience.

There was a beautiful stage set in the clouds of assualt for multiplayer, but it was sooo big and the arwings themeselves moved soooo slow it was nearly unplayable.

Some interesting info some of you might me interested in.

Interview with Game Informer and Nintendo Power should have something on it in the next issue.

http://www.sonicstadium.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Sonic-4-screenshots-GI.jpg
It's all quoted from the link, though I keep messing it up putting it in quotes.

Some more info…
While Sonic 4 will have shields, Episode 1 will only include the one hit shield. Just enough to help get your rings to the end of the stage.
Izuka says the reason they went episodic is that the game is too big to smaller hard drives (Wii and iPhone likely?) to fit in all at once and he didn’t see players paying $60 for a 2-D Sonic game on disc. (Hellllooo. New Super Mario Bros Wii anyone?!!)

Game Informer interviewed Izuka who gave some new info on the game. Highlights include..
What about Tails and Knuckles you ask? “Fans will be very pleased with the cast in episode 2.”
Episode 1 is a prologue.
Moves include: Spin Dash, Rolling Attack, homing attack and a new move yet unknown.
About homing attack: “I wanted the user to enjoy an easy-to-play feeling by the attack sequence that this
homing attack allows, and find the fun routes in the air.”
Classic special stages make a return.
Hornet Badnik. (Forget his name. Not Buzzbomber) Shown in screen shots.
Other screenshot shows Sonic smash though a wall that becomes a bunch of checkered bricks.
Another screenshot shows Sonic grabbing a handrail which goes across a wire. (Very Advance)XP
No floaty LBP physics. Classic Sonic Gameplay, classic Sonic speed. Says Izuka.
Not 3-D, but all CG pre-render.
Gamers will get classic “try again” ending if not successful at getting all emeralds. If you get all emeralds, you get cliffhanger ending for episode 2.
“If Sonic 4’s return to form (there they go again. ) is the Sonic experience you have been waiting 16 years for, then we strongly encourage you to try this.”

I can't wait to sit through these cut scenes, already they look 10 times better than what Prime 3 offered. And no I don't mean content, I mean the animation of it all. The ice guy flying around looked terrible, and the movement of everything had such clunky ugly animation. At least now it looks fantastic to see someone walking around. All of you are gonna eat this story up in the end, I know it.

Either that or you guys get another Twilight Princess and your crying for the next 5 years.

Considering that Twilight Princess was a GREAT game and one of the best Zelda games ever, what is the big deal? To me, the Metroid Prime games raised the bar for the Metroid series.

Maybe I should have explained that better. I love TP, but I sure as heck don't want to see another Zelda like it. Nintendo played it too safe with that game. I mentioned that because the general word on the street is that TP was great, but too much of the same old. The way this new Metroid is heading it going to blend many new and old elements together to give us a 3rd oerson 3D Metroid that we've always wanted, wether we realize it or not.

I saw this interview last week, I just don't get how people can be so down on the game. Like others have said it's like the fear of Prime all over again.

What is it that many of you want from this game or don't want? Story in the way it is presented obviously. Metroid has done true Metroid enough already, it's time for it to evolve. Either that or you guys get another Twilight Princess and your crying for the next 5 years.

I'm super excited about every thing i've seen so far. No, I don't think the acting is as great as it could be, but I hardly thinks its bad as well. But getting to know the Metroid universe is what I look forward to the most.

I guess that could work. Maybe there could also be times when the two could split up. I don't know, I'm not a game designer. It's very possible that it wouldn't work well, but I'm still hoping that they explore ideas for a 2-player 3D Mario game someday.

Oh they have. I remember an interview with Miyamoto about them trying to have Mario and Luigi run around together in 3D space. That was supposedly after Mario 64 if I remember correctly. But as I have said before, Wind Waker, Galaxy, Four swords and NSMBW show me that Nintendo is really trying to get multiplayer in it's main games. I'm certain that is going to be the big draw sooner or later once they figure it out just right.

This is great! You heartless animals! I thought the acting was decent, and I am very happy to be really learning more about Samus. Metroid is one of the few Nintendo franchises that can break away from it's nothing but game play core with more main stream appeal by having a story like this and classic gameplay. You have the most Metroid of Metroid games possible through Super Metroid, Zero Mission, and Prime 1. Prime 2, and Fusion both steadily led is into more cut scenes and dialogue, it's just the way the series is headed. I say just get used to it, and be happy it won't just be shooting Zelda again.

Well Nintendo can't break every record. Awesome it made it that high in Japan alone so far. What did the GC sell in Japan in its life time? like 6 Million?

Indeed he do!

If we don't hear anything about Star Fox at this coming E3 this game will forever be my star fox substitute. I'm certain if we don't see it this year, then we won't be seeing it on home consoles this generation.

I want to absorb the atmosphere, but I seriously get afraid playing. I can't believe it either. Went through all the Resident Evils just fine, and Eternal Darkness, though that one wasnt that scary. But I think because of that blasted movie along with my anticipation is making more afraid than I need to be.  Chainsaw weilding maniac? no sweat! Ghosts and spirits noooooo spank you!

I'm wondering if NSMBW will have any affect on Galaxy 2. In Japan absolutely not, but in America and else where? I feel like Mario Bros Wii allowed people to rediscover Mario again for the first time in over a decade. Maybe, just maybe they will try and take the next step up to 3D.

I doubt it, they had three generations to get acquainted with 3D Mario.

I understand that, but i'm wondering if a 2D console Mario will bait them in for Galaxy 2. Imagine if the commercials show like 50% 3D and 50% 2D? Or imagine on Galaxy commercial that shows almost nothing but 2D segments. That would really "trick" some of the uninformed.

I can only imagine how good NSMBW would have looked if they used clay.  I'd pay $200 for that game.

Maybe one day we will get that for Pikmin.

I hope the mode of flight in this game is Yoshi with wings. Come on come on!

So he would be like Pegasus? I just bought this game at Gamestop using that 50% trade in bonus.

I suppose so, not sure about that game. But just think Mario World where it started(and basically ended) and more recently Brawl.
