Wait a minute, developers are truely excited for Nintendo hardware? I don't know guys this looks like the beginning of the end to me.

LOL at BNM's constant head tracking statements, and then Spinnzilla asking him about it. Thats comedy!

Played it for about an hour. Still getting used to the control, I set it too atheletic and found myself being too soft because of past games.

The style is so freakin cool, and when I look at this game I marvel at it like I do Galaxy. It does not look like some old Gamecube game, and I love it! As much as I love and missed games with big presentations like this one, I don't think every game needs it like NSMBW. Just thought i'd throw that out there.

Still just trying to learn the controls, can comment on it more when I have a better handle on things. But when I get into a fight I do get pretty excited and want to stand up and move around. Though I did find sitting down to be just as fun.

Well this Homing attack is being done right as far as i'm concerned. This attack is used to gain access to higher areas in stages.

The advance and rush games just had to do it.

I know I havn't and hope I never have to. Hahahaha.

Snickers I get it!

Wow I can't believe IGN gives it 8.6 and other places give it less. If IGN likes it it must be good right? honestly I'm not worried at all, I have complete confidence in this game.

I'm not sure what the snickers bar means, but IGNs review was super positive. their closing comments.

Quote
Red Steel 2 is absolutely an "A product." It's clear that the development team wanted to right the wrongs of the original game and produced an all new design with controls that actually work. There are still some issues, both in game balance as well as wishy-washy motion sensing control, but the awesome style and energetic gameplay are enough to make this one of the top titles on Wii.

I just hope it plays well for people who actually know how to handle a sword.

I'll be the judge of that!

Woo hoo! that trailer was awesome and you guys are really hyping me up! I really don't feeling like running to gamestop to pre-order, but man I want those in-game weapons. Man I feel like im gearing up for a Nintendo release!

IGN gave it an 8.6

But to keep pokemon Gen 5 on the DS? very surprised I am. Corocoro said they are gonna have details on it in their next issue. I just can't see Nintendo not pushing their new system when pokemon gen 5 will be released so close to it.

I hope we can turn off the 3D if we want. Some people might not be able to see it. I know I don't feel too good watching 3D movies after a few hours.

So strange! Then why or why is Pokemon being released for this gens DSI? Why wouldn't Nintendo have that as ne of its flag ship titles? Oh I got it! There will be special accessable areas/pokemon only available on the 3DS.

But does anyone else just want another year with the DSi? Havn't even gotten one yet, now I wont.

Shoot, what does this mean for Wii?

Someone tell me, will the PS3 need glasses?

3192
Hahahaha, I guess that explains it.

TalkBack / Re: Miyamoto on Videogames as Art and Teaching Tools
« on: March 22, 2010, 05:44:09 PM »
I've always believed that the constant need for some people to label games as "art" has to do with their parents not "getting" videogames and telling them it's "a waste of time", so they feel they need to justify their hobby by making it into something grander than it really is.

"No, I didn't just blow off that alien's head because I thought it was fun and exciting, I did it because the alien represents the inner conflict my bald space marine faces. It represents his distant, verbally abusive step-father."

HAHAHAHA! I love goony people like that too! The sunday Heart Gold and Soul Silver came out, a friend of mine I was catching up with, told me he still played Pokemon (at age 23 or more) because of the money involved from winning tournaments. I wanted to slap him, and make fun of him. I remember how I used to justify playing games when I was a teenager, man I was stupid too.

Miyamoto speaks of Vitality Sensor ideas.

Nothing confirmed, but just another quote from www.n-europe.com

'"Miyamoto said that, "it is also fun to think of ways in which we might apply that new technology to exisiting [sic] forms of gameplay". He then moved directly onto the upcoming Legend of Zelda Wii title and how it could be used. One such example was "...to incorporate the Vitality Sensor into Zelda so that as you become more scared, the enemies become even tougher."'

http://www.n-europe.com/news.php?nid=13941

I think it sounds awesome, and may not happen this Zelda, but surely the next. But where would one attach it to play a normal 2 handed game?

I know we discussed this before. But Miyamoto has words on the no Hub thingy.

'"Miyamoto stated that this was for the convenience of the player who will get to "focus on the joy of the action instead of getting to each game course" and while at the same time, making it accessible to all the players.

Miyamoto also went on to say, "...we want them to understand as easy as possible where they should go next and which places they should go back to in order to get access to the remaining stars.”'

http://www.n-europe.com/news.php?nid=13939

Makes me happy. I prefer just picking level by level to get where I need to go. I bet NSMBW had something to do with this.

I don't know how that star meter crap works. I havn't done anything for people to know who I am. I think it's just a load of crap.

And if you seriously need a studio with all the jibberish you could possibly need? Green screen, weapons, stunt equipment. We could easily work something out.
