Who has had fun with Ty's fun spouse? I know I have! We played a cracker of a game of backgammon nearly a month ago, but it seems like yesterday.

Nintendo Gaming / Animal Crossing - HRA
« on: October 06, 2005, 09:27:28 PM »
I didn't know how to find the old threads about AC and just ask my question there. So I made a new thread, "Gameplay Strategy" needed some lovin' anyway.

I just started playing this again and I've always had a pretty poor HRA ratring and my question is, once you have two stories on your house is it better to continue your 'theme' throughout the house, as in both stories or can they be seperate?

Since I've had the two-storey house (about a year and a half ago, yes I haven't played it in a year) I decided to make a different themed upstairs. My HRA is around 35 000 and I want to know if it's worth trying to theme my upstairs the same as the downstairs to boost it.

General Chat / PIXMAN
« on: October 02, 2005, 02:32:15 AM »
I was walking in the local Westfield Shopping Centre yesterday, when what did I spy? A man with a large backpack t.v walking with two other people. It was a Luigi's Mansion style backpack, eg. The backpack looked like the vacuum but it had a t.v sticking out of the top. it also had the phrase PIXMAN on the back (I don't know if this has any relevance,) Now being the inquisitive person that I am I went to see what was showing on the t.v to my great surprise it had a Nintendogs promo blaring. This then ended and it changed to one of Kirby.

I soon realised that these were Nintendo advertisers, the first I had ever seen. The other people with the PIXMAN had people huddled around them, these people were playing DS's whcih were attached to a belt that the promoters were wearing. I was with a group of friends and I persuaded them to join me in playing a DS. The two people had different game choices, one had Nintendogs and the other had Kirby: Canvas Curse. I have Nintendogs so I went with the Kirby, it was a training level. I had just finished this when the demo ran out. POXY DEMO! My friends had been playing Nintendogs, they loved some even said they were going to buy DS's and get Nintendogs. I am not sure how truthful they were though.

As we were leaving the lady with the K:CC said "Hey, you guys want some stuff?" The stuff she was talking about was Kirby Yo-yo's and Masks. FREAKIN' SWEET! I grabbed two Yo-yo's and one mask....there was also phone-wallpaper Nintendog cards. It was lucky I took 2 yo-yo's because one broke.....

I post this because I not only saw the promoters yesterday but also twice today at different locations, and each timwe they were riddled with people. This is the first active advertising I have seen with NAL. Has anyone else seen something similar?

General Chat / International POST like a pirate day.
« on: September 14, 2005, 01:23:34 AM »
Monday the 19th of september is "International Talk Like a Pirate Day", so I was thinking at the forums we should have an day of posting like a pirate. On monday I will be posting like a pirate, and I want you to join me.....You know using phrases such as "Ahoy","Avast!", "Bilge", "Scurvy" and "Bung Hole" in everyday posts. If no-one joins me I will have to be a lone pirate!

But it would be a huge coming together for the forum and could be one of the highlights in its history.

Thanks to that ol' sea shanty that Kind Admin has in his signature is it? It has inspired me to propose this.

Nintendo Gaming / Revolution Grafitti!
« on: May 29, 2005, 02:18:01 AM »
I thought it might be cool to post this.

When waiting to catch my usual train to school, i was waiting (obviously) at the train station and spotted some grafitti in permenant marker on the shelter that read "Prepare for the Nintendo Revolution" I couldn't beleive my eyes.......that was hilarious!

I returned a few days later only to find that some one had changed the grafitti to "Prepeare for the REGGIE-lution" I laughed so hard!

I will photgraph this and post it soon......

Nintendo Gaming / 'Big Boss' Ranking
« on: January 24, 2005, 06:39:48 PM »
I've completed MGS:TT numerous times on Expert and the highest ranking i've been able to receive is 'Eagle'.

I was wondering is there a 'Big Boss' ranking like in MGS 2. And if so how do i get it?

Nintendo Gaming / F-Zero AX
« on: January 01, 2005, 11:53:46 PM »
On Saturday after seeing Meet the Fockers at the cinema i was surprised to see s F-Zero AX system at the arcade. Now i always wanted to play one just to completely finish F-Zero GX, so i had one go because i had to run to catch my bus...so i didn't get one of those cards things..

Now i am thinking of getting one and then after bring in my memory card...

But i was wondering what features do you actually gain from it and is it worth paying however much to unlock it all??

Nintendo Gaming / The Minish Cap
« on: December 02, 2004, 12:43:13 PM »
I am stuck in the Wind Palace.......

In one room (after the room with the 2 guys that have the maces) it is required that you make three copies of yourself and all four of you push the block and then you are free to pass. But i have infused my sword with the fourth element and i thought it was at the end of this temple. The was a room before this which required you to hit four switches at the same time but i avoided this problem with a remote bombe that blew up the swtich at the same time i swung my sword.....have i missed something???

General Chat / Finding it hard to continue games....
« on: October 26, 2004, 05:40:49 PM »
I don't know if everyone finds this happens to them, but i can never pick up an unfinished game that i haven't played in a while and sit and start to play it again. I always have to start right from the beginning.

Like in Metroid Prime, i was up to the mighty Metroid Prime, i tried to beat him once got upto his second form and failed. The next day, without trying to do it again, we went on holiday for a week. I tried to play it again and i pretty much just clear forgot how to play.

This only happens with one player adventures like TLZ:WW, MGS:TT and MP and doesn't happen with mission and seperate game based games like Timesplitters 2, The Sims: BO, NBA live and Mario Sunshine i don't have any trouble with, i think because of each episode is seperate.

Does this happen to anyone else? Or am i just a complete whack job? This really annoys me because some games take a real long time to finish.

Nintendo Gaming / F-Zero
« on: August 29, 2004, 01:13:11 AM »
I know some people here own F-Zero GX and I was thinking about the custom machines. What do you think is the best combination of parts? My machine is named Super Wolf-Z and the pilot is James McCloud. For the body I have ‘fire wolf’ which is 840kg, my boost is ‘Triple-Z’ which is 660kg and my cockpit is Super Lynx at 460kg. It is 1960kg, which makes it a heavy load. The stats are”
Body-B
Boost-A
Grip-B

What are your machines like?

Nintendo Gaming / The Inferno Lord FIRE LEO
« on: August 27, 2004, 09:23:52 PM »
I'm talking about Viewtiful Joe Episode 6: The Magnificent 5's final boss Fire Leo

I know how to beat him, hit the rocks until you get on fire, punch leo thenbreak his sheild and he goes into a ballerina spin. The major way to get damage on him is when he gets dizzy after the ballerina spin, now my question is how do you get him dizzy, because most the time he just jumps into the lava and gets on fire again. Is there any trick to get him dizzy?
