Nintendo Gaming / EGM rate Zelda!!!
« on: February 26, 2003, 01:35:46 PM »
LOL  Vice City got ALL 10's?????????
Ok, I can name PLENTY of glitches in the game.  First, it freezes at particular spots.  Second, the controls, although very useful, aren't very responsive.  Third, it's EGM.  I can name plenty of other mags that are stuck up Sony's and MS's butt.  Don't worry about it.  9.5 is alot better than what I thought it'd get.  I figured that since they usually don't like inovative, rock hard games that it'd get like a 9.0 or maybe an 8.5.  But I'm happy with that score.  Peace

Hey all.  I was wondering something.  First off, wish me luck.  My dad's gettin a new TV, and I wanna bum his old 32" one off his back cuz it's got S-Video.  Also, when you hook up the S-Video, do you hook both the big black and yellow cable, or just the black?

Oh, and if you can afford to buy one, get a Sony Wega.  It doubles the res of almost any input device (including GC).  Makes a HUGE difference.  If S-Video looks like that, I'm hooked.  Nothing like actually being able to read the type in ED or MP or RE.

Nintendo Gaming / Resident Evil 0 Help (SPOIERS INSIDE)

I found out what room it is.  It's the 2nd Floor Chess Room of the Facility.  The room is grey, as if I haven't explored it, yet the door is red, like it's locked.  And when I push A next to the door, nothing happens.

What's goin on people?  I played through this game, mostly without a guide, and got to the
************SPOILERS*****************

Leech Hunter mini-game.  Now the guide says to first, search the entire facility and its basements, kill all the monsters, drop off all your items, then pick up the leech charms.  What they failed to tell me was that some rooms become re-inhabited with monsters once you get close to the 100 leech mark.  Also, I don't know if it's a glitch due to the radomization of leech locations, monsters, as well as what key you'll need to find, but one room that contained the final 4 leeches that I needed was locked, and I had no way of opening the door.  Anyone know what happened?  I'm happy that I got the Barry Magnum, I just wanted the Unlimited Ammo.  :-\  And the mini-game takes a full 2-2 1/2 hours to beat, if you're running.

I've got a P3 600 MHz
256 MB RAM
7500 RPM Maxtor 40GB HDD
Geforce 2 MX 400 64 MB
not sure what the rest is composed of but
Speakers: My $400 Panasonic Stereo with Dual 6" Subwoofers, 450watts max power, makes Quake 3 BANG.  =-)

I have a question for anyone with tech knowledge.  My tech here at work said that I shouldn't buy a new motherboard/CPU/RAM combo to upgrade my computer.  He said I would save money by just going to Dell, HP, or Gateway to buy a brand new computer, which I don't want to do.  Out of all the ones I've seen built, you can't add much software to them before they start to crawl with lag.  So, should I spend $400 to upgrade the motherboard/CPU/RAM on my PC, or just spend a few hundred more and get a whole new PC?

Also, my other speakers blew out (hence the stereo hook up), and I was wondering why.  I live by an Air Port, and was wondering if I needed shielded connectors because of the RADAR.  Sorry this is so long.

Nintendo Gaming / Need to prove maturity! *_*
« on: February 08, 2003, 10:40:53 AM »
Yeah, talking is a huge sign of maturity.  Talking back or going behind their back is an extremely bad idea.  Regardless of how unfair it may seem, they are your parents for a reason.  You're their responsibility until you're old enough to be responsible for yourself or until you're 18.  Either way, just be calm, and talk to them, calmly, about how there isn't any cussing or anything in both games, just blood n guts.  Maybe even show some screens.  Just don't whine, or complain.  Big no no's

Nintendo Gaming / Surprise new Nintendo game in March?
« on: February 07, 2003, 04:55:23 PM »
I've got a question.  It doesn't really pertain to this topic, but kind of.  I've always wondered about the status of Factor 5.  I mean, most of the games they make they release for Nintendo systems then maybe on PC, but rarely, if even, on other consoles.  Why don't they just go 2nd party?

TalkBack / Sega Officially Kills GameCube Sports Development
« on: February 07, 2003, 04:49:57 PM »
personally, it sucks.  I like sports games.  I'm a Nintendo fan, and I hate when most people think that we just want adventures, adventures, adventures.  Sure, they're fun, but I need a break from time to time from Mario and Zelda.  Kicking my brother's butt at football is very pleasing.  Especially when I can beat his Buccaneers with my Saints.    I really liked NFL 2K3, and HOPE that EA doesn't do the same thing and pull it's sports line-up.  then I'll find myself buying another system to get my sports fix.
