Now now, selling pirated stuff on eBay is against their rules... and everyone knows eBay is all about enforcing their rules.

Does anyone remember the great promise of the Nintendo World Store being online?  Bah!  Where is it?

www.NintendoWorldStore.com is nothing...

I want to buy crap I don't need, they need to hurry up and get this thing online.

It's a "Choose Your Own Adventure" book -
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0439367107/qid=1118690236/sr=8-3/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i3_xgl14/104-4237107-5418361?v=glance&s=books&n=507846

It's really not very good...  Your "choosing" is fairly straight forward... I don't think you can even make a "wrong" choice...

Well, I've been slowly amassing a bit of a shrine to Nintendo of late and thought I'd take a picture to show everyone...

My Nintendo Shrine

How many things do you recognize?

I haven't played it, but wasn't Finding Nemo a well liked game?

TalkBack / RE: Hasbro and Infogrames Announce Licensing Agreement
« on: June 09, 2005, 06:16:12 AM »
>-- Infogrames has also secured an exclusive, 7-year license on nine major Hasbro properties, covering wireless, Internet (online games) and interactive television formats. The games are MONOPOLY, SCRABBLE, GAME OF LIFE, BATTLESHIP, CLUE, YATZHEE, SIMON, RISK and BOGGLE.

Damnit...   Why couldn't Stratego be somewhere on that list?  The DS was *MADE* for a wireless version of Stratego...

For what it's worth, there were way more people who didn't buy GTA or HALO than people who did.

The trick is to figure out what (if anything) would get these people to buy a game.  You know, the way the NES did...  Or Pokémon did...  Or, likely Nintendogs will...

Interesting.  They went with the iQue because it was supposed to be near-impossible to pirate...
I was unaware that the GBA/GBASP was released there... I guess Nintendo decided that they might as well sell the extra hardware, even if the games probably don't sell all too well.

But the DS?  I wonder if Nintendo is pretty confident on the copyright protection within the DS Software/Hardware...

The Hori Digital Controller is *spectacular*.  I highly reccomend it if you're looking for an SNES-style controller for your GCN.

You might check your local Game Crazy store and see if they have one in stock/can order one.  I ordered my from Play Asia and got it in a little over a week...  you want one of these and you know it.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:No Four Swords?
« on: May 26, 2005, 06:54:49 PM »
You know, it's a shame that Four Swords Adventures sold so poorly...  Its game play was the most fun I've had with a Zelda game since Link's Awakening (well, actually, the first Four Swords was hullva fun...)

I think the pun with both names 360 and Revolution is that either one means that you end up right back where you started...

Sony is very happy with that.

This sounds... Interesting.  I wonder if stuff like this will come to the US...  (with a different name, however...)

The fact that it uses the GCN Mic and Bongos, along with being two player tells me that it's a winner.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: backwards compatiblity slots needed?
« on: May 24, 2005, 05:38:06 PM »
Personally, I'm hoping for Revolution Compatible NES/SNES/N64 style contollers (something like the Hori Digital Controller for the GCN) for playing all the older games...

I know this is probably asking for too much, but wouldn't it be great if the classic NES/SNES/N64 games multiplayer modes could be played against/with others online?  Oh yeah...

See, Doctors are like mechanics though...  You go to a mechanic when something is wrong with your car... so they fix it - but tear up something else so you have to come back and give them more money...

Think about it... If everyone was 100% healthy, doctors would be useless - and out of jobs... Beware of Doctors...

TalkBack / RE: Pac-Man Pinball is No-Go for DS
« on: May 11, 2005, 06:04:23 AM »
Pinball sucks on a console/handheld... badly.  Pinball should be played on a pinball machine, it's that simple.  Pinball anywhere else is akin to playing Donkey Konga with a controller instead of the Bongos... It's just not as fun...

They're not concerned if the kids will play it or not, just as long as the parents (or grand parents) pick it up...

Besides, all things considered, I believe Color Dreams claimed to have done fairly well with their Bible Based NES games...  I own two of 'em... One sucks... badly (Bible Adventures) and the other is actually fairly good (Spritual Warfare)...

TalkBack / RE: eDemensional Puts Down Rumors Regarding Nintendo
« on: May 08, 2005, 08:35:37 PM »
Okay, I posted a smart-alec comment eariler about a quote from the press release...

"Nintendo Co., Ltd., of Kyoto, Japan, the acknowledged worldwide leader in the creation of interactive entertainment."

Does *anyone* else think that this quote is... strange?  I pointed it out hoping that someone else would jump on it, but, meh... I'll go out on the limb here...

This line seems... odd... for a company to put in a press release about another company that they, in theory, have no ties to.  Why go out of the way to make such a nice, supportive statement - that is pretty subjective - and debatable - in a simple press release saying "Nope, we've nothing to do with them..."

Maybe I'm looking too far into this...

Well, it's about time someone acknowledged it!
