Nintendo Gaming / RE: Who's up for some hardware hacking?

Heartless, but true.

Don't worry though, I'm clocking in the overtime this pay check - 54 hours last week and 52 hours this week.  I'll have the money.

My Wal*Mart (check yours!) has these for $2.50:
http://www.toysrus.ca/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&catalogId=10054&langId=-1&productId=66773

The ones that my Wal*Mart has are in a different package, but it's the same product.

But here's the interesting thing (and why it's posted on this particular forum!)...

The plug that you use to connect the second controller into the main unit is a frickin' GameCube Controller plug/port.

Now, aside from wandering how legal this is (Seriously, I'd like to know!), I couldn't wait to get this setup home and see if it did anything.
Well, the plug fits perfectly into the GameCube Controller port (which I figured it would).  Sadly, I cannot get any response from any of the buttons on the controller.  Plugging a GCN Controller into the main Coleco Controller also has no response.  HOWEVER, what makes this interesting is that the generic GCN Controller extension cable that I've got will work as an extension cable for the Coleco system...  Weird, eh?

Anywhoo, it seems to me that there has to be some kind of useful hack for something like this...

Well, that helps *you* find PGC readers, but that doesn't help other PGC readers find PGC readers...

I suggested a hat because it was something that could be worn multiple days in a row without... issues.

« on: April 11, 2006, 06:16:15 AM »
Well, from reading the various posts on this board, it appears that just about everyone here except me will be physically attending e3 this year.

God, it sucks to be me.

On another note, here's my idea.  PGC should ship out hats (or something of the like) that e3-goers could wear during e3.  This would negate the need for arraging a "meet-up" time (which some have declined due to the fact it would waste precious e3 time) and allow PGC'ers the chance to actually know when they're passing someone from PGC because of the Hat ("Hey, you're from PGC!").

Also, it'd be neat if Jonny did some kind of contest like "If I see you at e3 wearing a PGC hat, I'll buy you a Pepsi (or a Coke, or a Sierra Mist, or Dinner, etc...)".  It'd be more of a reason to wear a PGC hat.

As for PGC, how great would it be if multiple developers/companies representing at e3 kept being questioned by completly different people all wearing the same hat advertising the same website?

Just a thought.

Jonny!  Why would you say such horrible things!  First, you tease us with ad-free PGC, then you slash our throats with this?  You're so heartless!

Gad damnit.  I want this game.  We got it in today.  I touched the box.  Licked it, in fact.

But I can't afford it yet.  Damn bi-weekly paychecks.

I'm sure there's some country where it wouldn't be illegal.

Here we go...

I have a sick, sick mind.  So I commonly think of awful things and (typically) make people choose between one of two cases or such.

Today, I think I came up with the worst idea ever.
WARNING!!!

What follows is a very sicking and depraved post.  Do not read it.  Period.  Just take my word that it is the worst thing that can be posted without getting me banned.  In fact, there's still a chance that something like this could get me banned, so I'm going to again ask all mods not to read the following post.  Mind you, the following post is 100% not meant to be taken seriously (except for the part about y'all donating to St. Jude's - you should do that), but seriously, it's really, really sick.  Really, don't read it.

Taking pictures of, say, 8 year old girls and boys, in the nude, is illegal - child pornography.

Now, if the 8 year olds are dead, they're still 8 years old - and nude photos of them would still be illegal.

But, let's say we can have these corpses perfectly preserved for 10 years - and presto, they're over 18 - and thus it would be legal to take nude photos of the bodies.

The idea is to create a website of 100% legal child-like porn.
All of the proceeds will go to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital (Probably the absolute best charitiable cause ever and one that I do seriously donate to and would highly reccomend everyone else doing the same)

I was also considering attaching stings to the bodies to create "sex" videos.  Then, I considered letting live people have sex with the corpses for video.  Finally, I decided on both.

Mario, I'd gladly ship you a copy if you paid for it plus shipping.  I'm all for getting every single sale possible on such a qwirky sounding game in hopes that NoA brings us more.

Faceball kicks ass on the original GameBoy.  One of these days, I'm going to splurge and buy 15 more copies so I can finally try the 16 player mode.  There still isn't a portable game that supports that many players.
