It better have both "Assignment Ada" and the PS2 Ada side-story "Separate Ways".

I played the GCN version so "Separate Ways" is really the only point of playing this game again.

No, nothing like that.  >_<

Anybody?  Please?

My theory is Nintendo has a coin like Two-Face.  Everytime they're about to do something they flip the coin.  If they get the good head they do things as planned.  If they get the bad head they do the same thing but f*ck it up somehow.
Aaron Eckhart (The Core, Thank You For Smoking) has been confirmed a day or two ago to be Harvey Dent in the next Batman film.  If you were interested.

If Nintendo is Two-Face, does that mean that Sony is Catwoman?  o_0  Derive from that what you will...

Maybe Microsoft is Mr. Freeze...  :P

My dad is always telling me that in Hong Kong, stray dogs become someone's lunch.  He says there's probably a law against that but that still doesn't stop some people.

One strange fact that I've always remembered is that some kind of green beans expand dog meat.  It's supposedly possible to feed green beans to someone who just made a meal out of a dog and their stomach could rip apart fatally.  Serves them right!

Anyway, I STILL don't have my Wii back from Nintendo of Canada so I'm STILL missing out.  Did anyone make a campaign of submitting particular questions about things they'd like to see?

Someone was probably swinging a Wii Remote around and did the trademark "Z"-slash of Zorro's and thought this was a good idea.  Then they spent just as long developing it.

Turn the 8 sideways and it's "Mario Party Infinity"!

Hey, whoever it was that LOLed and ROFLed at "kilohypes" should find "Mario Party Infinity" unspeakably funny.

I agree with ryancoke.

While it seems unlikely that there would be a good multiplayer online mode (unlikely because Nintendo/Retro doesn't seem to want to compete with Halo), there's no physical impossibility why there couldn't be one (especially considering the time spent on this game).

If they did feel like they wanted to compete with Halo, and that they could add a good versus mode without taking resources away from the development of the single-player mode (Metroid's more-than-primary strength), then why not?  Seriously, why not?

I'm not keen on Prime 2: Echoes' multiplayer and I never took Hunters online for some reason, but that doesn't mean I should hate on the existence of a multiplayer mode in Prime 3.  If it's an actually good mode, awesome!  And if I still didn't like multiplayer, no one's going to make me play that mode.  So single-player mode fans have no reason to totally pooh-pooh multiplayer unless they can say with absolute certainty that it affected the development of the single-player main game.

I found BG&E refreshing, though it's kind of like Eternal Darkness...I liked it, it's considered underrated by the overall gaming community, but the few people who did play them are beginning to make it overrated.  Kind of like, we keep saying the game is great, but only the people who already played it understand, and the rest of the world isn't budging, not taking the effort to find and play the game, so we get tired of hearing ourselves preaching to the choir, as it were.

I am in need of a very good sprite maker, semi-urgently.  This is for a project with some secrecy involved.  (This project is not a game, however the sprites have to look like they might be from one.)

I will require a number of distinctly original game(-like) character sprites, possibly about a dozen.  They will mostly fit in 32 x 32 pixels (though some may be larger, or smaller) and usually be no more than four colours.  The semi-urgency comes from that they would have to be done in a month's time, and most of the details of the required sprites are not even finalized yet.

I met bustin98, an awesome artist, through these very forums for a previous project, and I am hoping to find someone here whose gift is making original sprites.  If you are interested about helping with this project, please let me know here, or via email.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Japan-Only Games Possible for US Virtual Console!
« on: February 15, 2007, 10:13:08 AM »
Franchises that are now familiar to Westerners should be worth it.  Fire Emblem, Mother/EarthBound, (Advance) Wars, Custom Robo...  I don't know much about Sin & Punishment but the name's come up quite a few times, and if there isn't much work required to bring that over, then by all means!  Mario's Super Picross and Kirby's Super Star Stacker are both ideal, too.  Was Mario & Wario a Japan- and Europe-only game?  North America missed out, so bring that too.  (EDIT: Oops, didn't read Luigi Dude's post...)

When I went to this import store near the end of the Super NES's life, other than playing some Super Mario 64 early there, I rented games that were simple.  Mmmm, Super Bomberman 3-5.  Okay, they were very similar.  But they don't have much text, so bring 'em all over, Hudson!  I also rented games like "Kirby Super Deluxe" (but that soon became Kirby: Super Star and got localized), some DBZ fighting games, and a Sailor Moon fighting game.  >_>

Hmmm, I wasn't sure if he said "scar" or "scarf"...if Peter is well on his way to mastering the abilities of people he's encountered, including Claire's healing, I wonder why he'd get a scar, which sounds like it'd be a significantly noticeable one on his face.  Most be one heck of a facial injury that he'll get soon, then.

Since the limitations about Channels seem to be software-related, there's always the possibility that they can be fixed or improved upon with updates.  After all, I thought the first batch of Wiis couldn't even copy saves back from the SD card until the first update was performed.  Reading VC games or saves off of the card doesn't sound too difficult...I wonder why they would wait on such a simple fix?  Don't tell me it's not physically possible, Nintendo!

Thanks for confirming what I was thinking, and in so much more detail, too!  As I already said, AI isn't that great anyway and a moot point when it comes to the question of if other consoles can handle it.

Other than Dead Rising and Lost Planet and Okami, what other Capcom "one-shot" (so far) or new franchises have there been that are recent?

There's 48 Channels...anyone have that many yet?

There's the Disc Channel, the Everybody Votes Channel, the Forecast Channel, the Internet Channel, the Mii Channel, the News Channel, the Photo Channel, and the Wii Shop Channel.  That's eight.  Plus one for each Virtual Console game.  If anyone has 40 VC games right now, they'd know what happens if they try to get one more without deleting any games first.

I don't think there are 40 games worth owning on the VC yet, but that's another story.  Even if there are a dozen more Channels yet to come, I don't think I'd need all of the remaining 28 spaces at any one time, though I'd still like VC game consolidation of some sort.

There's nothing necessary about dumping ALL 2D games, which are still functional and enjoyable games.  Nothing about having the capability to render polygons should say that sprites are finished.

I was going to say exactly the same thing.

It's a pain in a torunament with items when you're jumping around and something appears from the top of the screen giving you next to no time to react and you get "Smashed" off because it happened to be explosive.  In a case like that, you were defeated by bad luck.

Items are cool, so if they only appeared in a particular spot and timed intervals or something, some sort of more controlled thing, then it could be more fair.

The SSB games ARE fighting games...just a different sort of fighting game, that's all.  Remove the randomness and you still require skill to win.  I'm bored of SSB:M, however, I still say, ABOUT TIME!

Spak, you're right, somehow I missed the point that if it gets posted, not only would Nintendo have seen it but then the rest of the world does and then we'd have a real indicator of how many Wii owners want something.  (Then again, someone could vote six times, but still.)

I remember when we discussed if Nintendo could access our play history from our message boards, but now we don't really know.  However, a poll is certainly handy for Nintendo to track what we like.

Given the Wii's "new gamer" philosophy, questions about the Wii or games itself might be intimidating.  However, if they were in a category all their own, it would be okay.  However, they might think that people would take it as a sign that Nintendo would necessarly do something to appeal to the popular choices, so then they'd probably put up a disclaimer if people did take the questions too seriously or felt that Nintendo wasn't.  :P

There's always some trouble.  So instead we're getting simple and innocent questions like if you like dogs or cats.  Then again...  Nintencats, anyone?  (Or Kittendo, whatever.)

Fine, I'll ask for "enough money to buy a Wii game" and then pick up Super Paper Mario as my brithday present a couple days later.
