General Gaming / RE: ITT: PSP Discussion
« on: April 19, 2006, 09:06:59 PM »
Well, considering one of the major flaws people had with the game was the lack of control you had with the PSP "nub" and d-pad...the game should playu quite nicely on the PS2.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Has the best of the DS come and gone

Erm...whut?

Starfox Assault was passable, but it was nowhere near as good as Starfox 64, and the land based missions could have used alot more tweaking.
=====
But...Really, the DS has been out for a little over a year and you're already talking about the "best of" games?  Remember, RE4 didn't come out until the 4th year of the GC's lifecycle, and its largley considered one of the best Gamecube games ever.

There have been a ton of good games already for the DS, and as more developers come on board and more third parties get the hand of dev'ing on a DS, I think we're going to be getting alot more.

hahaha.  Nanaca crash and N would be awesome on a handheld.

I dunno...I guess the crushing disappointment of Starfox Assault was too much for me...

I would pay $10 for it though, just so I could play the last level again.

I always figured, at the Very Least, Zelda was going to playable with Rev controls at E3, if just to "give us a taste".

But latley I've started to get the feeling there will be a nice spread of first party titles available.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Anybody know any good games?
« on: April 14, 2006, 06:49:17 PM »
If you can find it, Metal Arms: Glitch in the System.  One of the best FPS's on the 'cube (and just cause its over the shoulder doesn't mean its not an FPS. It still controls like one.)

And you should be able to find it new for about $20.

Also, while it may not be an FPS, you need to get Resident Evil 4.  One of the greatest games of this generation.

Also, I beleive it's entered the Players Choice lineup, am I correct?  So, also $20.

The girl on the left looks like the little witch girl from Berserk.

But yes...it does look EXTREMELY good.  I'm glad SE hasn't forgotten about this.

Pseudo gothic/medival armor?

This would be like Prine of Persia 2, sacrificing style for Godsmack.

I want the power to spontaneously cause anyone nearby to break into a song and dance number, including large groups.

They would all inherently know the song and dance routines, and would sing about anything I wanted them too.

Didn't EA already do this with The Godfather?

Probably.  But is that even a good game?

Well, Tails was originally a girl, you know.  They changed her into a boy when they realized that Sonic running around with a 7 year old was a little too creepy for American shores.

And that has nothing on the small faction of RobotnikxSnively shippers out there.

I see Iwata as kind of the "End Boss" for a really long RPG. He is incredibly polite, and avoids confrontation, all while sending his minions out to do the violence and such. But, when the heroes finally have him cornered, he breaks out his 8th dan black belt and decapitates the protagonist's love interest with his bare hands.

Yamauchi is the secret boss that you need to be level 80 just to put up a fight with.

Sony's answer to the Rev-mote.

Now, does this mean the PS3 is actually a time machine and will send players back in time to kill Yamauchi as a child?

Or is Kutaragi slowly growing more insane as time passes?

They are if they are blinking 12:00!

Personally, I would be surprised if the PS3 wasn't at -least- $500USD.  Honestly, I was expecting it to go for $600 given the rumors of production cost.

No no, I meant that the Hookshot has a "laser pointer" telling you where it was going to hit.

YOU MISUNDERSTAND ME, SIR

The only thing honor gets you is shot in the back.

And, technically, cannonballs count as missiles.

And really, the "pirates" that worked for various countries weren't pirates, they were Privateers.

Well, you -do- have crosshairs in a sense, but they just aren't all that apparent.

And laser pointers are ok, but not crosshairs? =P

Its the new trend of "stupid is cool" thats so popular with the kids these days.  Napoleon Dynamite, Tom Goes To the Mayor, and Tommy Tallarico just to name a few of the worst transgressors.
