Suns are RISING!!!

it was stated almost 3 months ago when Routh was announced. but it's understandable to not remember those details from months ago.

Apparently Brandon Routh as "Kingdom Come Superman"
Kevin Conroy as "Bruce Wayne from the future" (voice of Batman from TAS)
and Black Lightning

all join the CW's Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover
https://nordic.ign.com/batwoman/27815/news/crisis-on-infinite-earths-arrowverse-crossover-casts-kevin-conroy-as-bruce-wayne

please don't make me play catch up on Arrowverse.... I have fallen way to far behind to even begin to remember where to start.
I just might catch this 5 part series though. Sounds like it could be kinda interesting.

p.s. I have yet to do any sort of catching up on Arrowverse in preparation for this massive CW event crossover.
I at least wanted to be familiar with where all the characters are up to this point.
I'll probably just go in blind though.

Our defense was ****.
rotations on both defense and offense looked like work in progress.
Draymond was looking a little frustrated out there, but this is a mostly new group, so it's gonna take us some time. A rookie(?) was out there being bold, intercepting passes meant for D-Lo and holding the ball at the end of the 2nd when Steph was calling for it.... but I'm hoping the chemistry comes with a little more time.

I really hope WCS is almost back, because we really need a large presence with experience down in the paint.

But as I told my boy last night, this is game 1 of a new season with a new team in a new stadium against the season favorites (who are still missing PG13 :/). It's the next game vs the Thunder where I'm looking for improvements to the chemistry and corrections to the formula.

Oh Warriors.... :(

I can't say I'm familiar with 80% of the people on my team on the floor for 70% of the game.
It's just game 1. We will have some breakouts. Improvements will be made. LOL
They gonna have LOTS of "tape' to watch tomorrow.

Hopefully we show some much needed correction in the game vs CP3 and the Thunder on Sunday.

Cloak & Dagger got canceled 😵
https://deadline.com/2019/10/marvels-cloak-dagger-canceled-freeform-2-seasons-1202768643/

And they having a crossover with Runaways 😕
Now Runaways is the last one left (AoS final season is 7)

May the reign of Feige be long and Prosperous.

You mean Spider-man 1?

There's always credit given to Raimi SM for kicking off the current superhero run, but that's only because most people forget Blade was actually based on a comic book to begin with. He wasn't a popular and/or known character back then.

Man, Kyrie had to put up 50 in the season opener against the TWolves just to barely lose in OT.

I bet he can't WAIT till next season starts. Lol

Here is the cover for the Art of Endgame book that's coming out

anyone plan on picking this up?
or picked up any of the previous art books that have been released?

1359
Blade most definitely kicked off the modern "serious" Superhero movie run we got now.

and the first 2 were awesome. Blade 1 was one of the few movies that I would not only watch more than once, but it was one of 2 movies that I would consistently watch over an over again back in the day.

slightly off topic:
I'm really curious how Feige is going to handle Blade though..... will Blade and Deadpool start off the Marvel Studios "Marvel Knights" branding, and get R ratings?
or will Blade just push a Hard PG-13 rating?

back on topic:
If the list ended w/ a Top 15, Spider-Man: FFH would have been #15 on that list

I forgot to mention they are hopeful on getting the original cast back for the sequel as well.

My daughter squeeled when I told her and wants to "go see it" the minute it comes out.
I didn't tell her it would be from home, because she doesn't really know what Disney+ is just yet.

what also makes this news kinda funny, is that we were costume shopping just yesterday, and there were Hocus Pocus branded costumes in the Spirit store, and my daughter had gotten all excited about it, and started talking about the movie. As soon as I got home, I saw the news about the sequel coming to D+.

I'm glad the Jazz (outside of Conley) looked good tonight.
Now bring it (including Conley this time) against the Lakers on Friday, and suck the wind of LeDavis' sails.

I got my tickets for the Suns vs Kings game tonight at 7pm. It should be fun.

I almost thought you were near Sac, then I looked up the game and they playing in Phoenix.

I was definitely just joking about the Lakers.
only 2 teams have played and lost so far, so this may be the last time I can say Lakers are dead last in the league. (unless Utah can upset on Friday) LOL

edit:
And I know it's only the 1st game of the season, but KD gotta be sitting on the bench watching his team down almost 20 to the Timberwolves halfway though the 2nd, and wondering.... "I hope I didn't make a mistake...."

narrators response: He did

REGULAR SEASON STARTS TODAY......

and the first new NBA news I get is that Steve Kerr says Klay won't be back this season :(

It's not definitive, and I expect Klay to want to come back asap, but I know he's also not gonna rush it, since he already got his Brinks Truck delivery. I'm still holding out hope for a post All-Star Break Warriors push when Klay comes back.

Just watching how the chart changes when IW and then Endgame hit made me say "dayum".

Well, I'm not trying to derail any HYPE from anyone regarding the SW series, but I've watched all the theatrical releases, outside of Solo, and I"ll likely watch this new one as well, maybe even in the theater, but the series just does not capture me. at all.
The movie will go on to make over $1B and most fans will hopefully be happy with it, but I've realized that SW just isn't my thing

The tweet is lies, damn lies and statistics.

That’s because Atom Tickets is actually working tonight unlike the morning Endgame came out.

LOL. When I first saw the "news" I was thinking "Well, Fandango hasn't said ****, and I'm sure they dwarf Atom tickets....

besides, every site was crippled by traffic on the release of Endgame. I didn't hear anything about any of that for this movie... but I also didn't know when the tickets went on sale, so it's possible I just missed the HYPE train all together.

I wish any of this appealed to me at all..... this trailer seriously does nothing for me.
the last few movies (I didn't watch Solo yet) really do absolutely nothing for me.

But it's supposedly selling 45% more than Endgame on Atom Tickets, so carry on.

Those two fighting gifs though. LOL.
That's part of my immersion problem. LOL

My goal was to make my first game at the new Warriors stadium a Dubs vs Pels game, but it has to be atleast 8-10 weeks from now when Zion is healthy.

I was looking forward to seeing him vs the New Look Warriors.
I might settle for Dubs v Kings game instead. I'm looking for something I don't need to take a small loan out for to go see, but still interesting to watch. LOL.

I was just post this in the MCU Thread for obvious reasons... that become extremely obvious towards the end, moreso than in the beginning :D
But I figured maybe this will have some discussion that can be centered around both DC & Marvel, so a new thread it it!!!

TUPAC SHAKUR ARRESTED IN TENNESSEE FOR METH.....

Quote
(CNN) Police in Tennessee arrested a man named Tupac A. Shakur, 40, after they say he pulled a knife on them and was found with methamphetamine.

Officers with the Johnson City Police Department, about 25 minutes from Bristol, received calls Friday about Shakur who had active warrants for his arrest from another department, according to a news release from Johnson police.

When officers arrived at the scene, they saw a car with Shakur inside. Officers attempted to arrest Shakur, but he pulled away and reached for his waistband, the release said.
Shakur then turned toward officers with a knife before officers took him down. Officers found a syringe and baggies of meth on Shakur, the release said.

Shakur was charged with aggravated assault, simple meth possession and having unlawful drug paraphernalia. He is being held at the Washington County Detention Center on a $18,000 bond. He is set to be arraigned Monday, the release said.

It was not clear Sunday whether Shakur has legal representation.

Shakur shares the same name, even the same middle initial, as the late rapper Tupac Shakur who was killed in September 1996 at age 25.

no wonder we couldn't find him... he looks so, um... different.
