Don't deny the link between the win/loss streak.

there was some very dark Xmas magic at work. Millions of Bay Area wishes were being granted.
It was however short lived, much like Lebron's supposed aggravated groin injury that led to the Xmas loss, but it happened, and at the exact same time. It's no coincidence.

The Streaking has come to an end.... but it was never expected, and certainly not expected to last.

I want to say it was when D-Lo go hurt that the tide turned, but i didn't see it happen as I was on the road at halftime, and didn't get back infront of a TV until just before halfway through the 3rd... by that  point, the damage was done. D-Lo came back in the 4th, but the game was already out of reach without a Hot-Hand Klay and/or Super Nova Curry on the active roster.

It's all good though. Fun while it lasted. 1st half was good to watch though. Both teams were on FIRE from downtown. We just couldn't keep it up in the 2nd half, and The Mavs kept right on rolling.
D'lo going for a loose ball and his head collided with Lucas hip.  It at first looked like D'lo and Luka were going to collide head to head until D'lo moved his head to the right and he ended up hitting Lukas hip.

Hope D'lo is okay.  I feel bad for the Warriors with all these injuries that are just coming in waves.

For BnM- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-aU7eDTscg

Thanks for the vid, we were only down 5 when that happened :(
Glad D-Lo turned out to be alright, as that looked like it could've been pretty bad.
I also guess I got back to a TV shortly after that happened, because we were down about 10 or more when I turned the TV on, and it just increased from then. That was the deflation point for the Warriors. We were very much in it before that happened.

Lucky for the Lakers that we lost though. Don't ignore the fact that the Warriors Win Streak aligned with the Lakers Lose Streak. We finally lost one, and they finally won one.

Not that anyone here was planning on watching it (by choice) but i heard that CATS was absolutely atrocious.
I've had several friends who either went with their S/O or blindly with family, and they all walked out and demanded money back.

So fair warning to all those that don't want to be added to some weird FBI database or 8chan mailing list.... you should probably just let this one fade from existence. LOL

I'm really not sure who's idea it was to sexualize some weird human cat hybrid of species, or whatever it was they were going for, but it looked weird and was quite off-putting.  Not surprised audiences in mass rejected it upon release. even some of those that may have been looking forward to it.

Santa Clarita Diet - HAHAHA OMG GROSS

I don't know why I would keep skipping over this show on Netflix as I was casually scrolling past looking for something mildly entertaining to watch. Several friends have recently recommended it again, and the opportunity came up once more that I was casually browsing and decided to check it out. Right from Ep1 I was enjoying this show, as all the mains are very charismatic (Drew Barrymore & Timothy Olyphant to be more specific) and both have great comedic timing and delivery. Olyphant's overly expressive reactions, and Barrymore's optimistically enthusiastic approach to wrong in the name of "good".
This show is highly entertaining and humorous, with a very high gross out factor. Definitely my type of show. Too bad it only lasted the 3 seasons as Netflix just cancelled it after S3, but so far I'm enjoying pretty much every episode so far (just started S2)

If you're looking for a little bit of info on what the show is about..... Married Realtor Couple has a disastrous showing that ends in Drew becoming a "zombie". Now the couple must cope with new lifestyle changes whilst also maintaining their suburbanite regular family life image. Needless to say, easier said than done, especially when neighbors on both sides are cops, and your daughter is aware things ain't right.

edit: just finished S2E2 and this show just stays on the hilarious side of ridiculous. LOL
It's a shame I didn't start watching till after it was cancelled. This is a very fun show.

6 Underground

New Netflix Ryan Reynolds movie directed by Michael Bay. This was quite entertaining as RR gets to be himself and there was tons of action. Story seemed a bit all over the place as they kinda time skipped around the story a bit and I had to watch it in 2 parts as I started it late at night, but I enjoyed it. It was fun for what it was, and the RR humor was pretty on point.

Spies in Disguise

Wow..... pleasantly surprised by this one. Will Smith in FULL Will Smith mode, but it fit the character  he was playing. I totally forgot that Tom Holland was the other main character, but after someone told me, I was surprised I didn't recognize his voice. But this movie was actually funny, it thought they showed it all in the previews, and a lot of it they did, but some were still funny once put into context. A few quick moments that were a little dark for some younger kids, but they passed fairly quickly and probably went unnoticed. But I actually enjoyed this one, and since it was done by Blue Sky studios.... I'm expecting either a sequel, or a follow up series on D+

I'm late to post but....

MERRY MUTHAFUCKIN CHRISTMAS FROM THE BAY!!!!!!!
Warriors beat the Rockets on Christmas!!! Houston is cursed for the rest of the season.
Beaten by the GState Warriors GLeague Warriors!!!! LOL

we also happen to have 3 wins in a row. We can now go into a slumber and claim that as our Championship for the season and continue on our path to the #1 Pick this season.

That **** was sooooo unexpected. I watched form the get go celebrating the early lead, and expecting to never see it again. After watching Westbrick continue to try so hard to still be so terrible, I knew we still had a chance to stay in this.

I also heard Curry was doing some sort of training with the team, which means he could be back sooner rather than later. We must've gotten assurances from Adam Silver that a Top 4 pick is ours regardless of outcome this season. LOL

and then to watch the Lakers lose to the Clippers on their home court. #ClippersStadium

hate to see the Clippers win, but LOVE to see the Lakers lose.

not to mention the Buck went down today (operation Golden Giannis is still a go!!!)
and the Pels get a win with that 8 win to 8 loss ratio. (now 9's)

Truly a Very Merry Christmas!!!

I'm pretty sure no one was watching yesterday besides me, but I tuned in and watched these boys playing DEFENSE. They were making appropriate switches, and communicating enough to switch off mismatches and keep the opposing offense from getting easy ball movement.
It wasn't perfect, but damn was it nice to see them playing like a team that knew what it was doing.

We had a 25 point lead at one point if I remember correctly, and even though they let the lead slip at the beginning of the 4th, partially because of Dray being overzealous with aggressive passing attempts, it was a good 3.5 Qtr effort that lead to our first 2 game win streak this season.

Now we gotta play the Rockets tomorrow..... I don't see that going well at all, but maybe we get an Xmas surprise?

1264
I was just gonna go check out a trailer for the show since I just seen a clip of a commercial earlier while watching the Warrior game. I'm only familiar with the game as I've seen it on Steam and checked out trailers for it there, but now that review above, will just let me quell that curiosity and pursue other unknown random **** on Netflix/Amazon/Exodus to watch instead.

1265
And I totally meant to put that previous post in either the MCU thread or Rate TV Show thread, so that's a double fail. Lol

Maybe a mod can just move it for me 😉

1266
I just finished the series finale of The Runaways, and I think that cements that these shows were not part of the MCU as they did not follow the rules of Endgame. I'm talking about the rules of MCU TIME TRAVEL aka creation of the MULTIVERSE, where to travel in time and make a change does not and can not change what already happened in your timeline, it will just splinter off into a new alternate timeline. and each subsequent change initiated by the time traveler, may continue to create more and more alternate timelines.
The Runaways seems to be following the BttF rules, and not the Endgame rules.

Having stated that, I think this season was certainly better than last, as the series as a whole was rather dull from an action standpoint. I enjoyed it enough to watch it all, but it's not something I would recommend anyone else to put on a must see list of any kind. And for some kids that are meant to be geniuses (namely Chase) that kid is such an idiot, it's totally unbelievable he was capable of doing what he did in the last episode, and I totally feel Alex when he says "of all people... it was you!?"

Giannis hit a Deep 3 with no fear.

my hopes for the Bucks to crater in the off season and Giannis to flee to the Bay are fading quickly. LOL

yes, seriously. This is a sad day in US History, that we no longer choose to participate in free trade of "Live Assets" with the great nation of Wakanda.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/dec/18/wakanda-usda-trade-agriculture-black-panther
Quote
US officials remove Black Panther's Wakanda from list of trading partners

Trade talks between Captain America and Black Panther didn’t quite pan out, it seems. Wakanda, the fictional home of the Marvel superhero, is no longer listed as a free trade partner of the US.

Until Wednesday, the made-up east African country was listed on the drop-down menu for the agriculture department’s foreign agricultural service’s tariff tracker along with Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and Peru. The department (USDA) said the comic book country was added to its systems while it conducted testing.
[...]
Amongst the commodities listed under Wakanda were “live asses”, “mules and hinnies” and several other farm animals. Potatoes and chestnuts were also reportedly listed.

Wakanda’s most famous agricultural commodity, those heart-shaped purple flowers that appear to give Black Panther his god-like powers, do not appear to have been listed.

No Herbs and no Vibranuim mentioned in trade talks.

I enjoyed the Dragon Prince S3 for the most part. I watched with my daugter, as she is pretty into it.
There is just a point towards the later half that just makes no sense to me.... plot twist. I think you'll know what I'm talking about once it happens.

It seriously makes no sense to me why it happened other than to progress the story.

SPOILER the new young king decides to go to jail and replace the treasonist kings hand of his father, allowing him to become king to advance a war he didn't want to be part of.... WUT!? why couldn't he let his advisors take the temporary crown till he was ready, and just be a kid again. iirc it was even suggested to him to do that, but he chose to relinquish the crown to the man arrested for betraying the interest of the kingdom, after fighting the royal guard. It seriously makes no sense to me.

As for The Dark Crystal, my daughter absolutely ADORED this show. She didn't remember watching the original (she's only 7) but this new one was one of her favorite things ever. She would often try to talk like the Skeksis, but imitate the little Pip guy with the spoon. Her Netflix icon right now is the female elf girl.
I don't know if they are going to do another season/mini-series, but I'm down for more.
She even watched the behind the scenes for the show. She thought she was a genius for knowing that all the characters were puppets. and Bless Netflix soul for not going CGI all over this show, but sticking with the puppetry like the original. They did a good job with this one.

all things considered.... doesn't look bad.
I likely won't watch it.... but then again, I'm kinda burnt on the Arrowverse, and still haven't event taken the time to catch up enough to tune in to the current ongoing Crisis Event.
