Nintendo Gaming / RE:Ummm... DS + Warppipe Crew = ????

And considering a WiFi Access points are around, fifty bucks they're not all that much money. Infact, if you go to pricewatch they start at about $27 so they are pretty cheap.

That would defeat the whole wireless thing Nintendo is going for.

General Gaming / RE: *rumor*PSP PRICE ANNOUNCED!!!

"yes the gc is cheaper, but you have to keep in mind that the PS2 was not sony's first system (thus the name PS2). With DS vs. PSP, sony is entering into the handheld world for the first time, and since handhelds are different from consoles, the Sony name alone may not be enouph for sony to beat the DS, but then again it may."

Well, let's put it this way the Playstation name brand can't hurt them.

Now if the triforce lit up on the front, it would be the best system ever.

At this point in time it is clearly fake. But I think it gives us some indication that the PSP price point is going to be rather high or much higher then anyone as thought.

General Gaming / RE: Upgrading/Overclocking
« on: September 27, 2004, 03:38:08 PM »
Well, seeing how the GameCube is so small, any overclocking, as in graphic card or CPU would just make the GameCube pretty hot. And I doubt you would be able to see any increase in performance.

Now what would be the point of that? I would see it much easier to just connect the GameCube to a wireless router.

"I don't think Sony respects Nintendo at all now."

You know, now that I think about it, it's pretty much true. But that kind of thinking will lead the PSP to failure. Because anybody can see that if the PSP is priced at $350 and they factor in that it is a handheld system, I can't see anyone paying that much for it.

Well, that price just makes the DS look more attractive at $150.

I still think that the DS will be around $150, but that's just me.

The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that the power button is two close to the D-Pad, at one point I could slip and hit it. Other then that much better looking.

Yeah, that is one of my favorite episodes just for that fact......

But in anycase I never really thought about it, or how the time at which it took place to which Mario was currently out. But's it safe to say it fitted the episode well.

Almost all of the items were cheesy and useless.

Hold on there you call the grappling hook cheesy, well how dare you?! I thought it was one of the best items in Wind Waker to say the least, and it was pretty cool grappling from place to place. Although, would have been much better if it could have been done in more spots and if Link had more diverse ways of grappling in general.

But I will agree with you that Wind Waker was pretty lacking in the items department.

Well, in anycase if it is video in:

I have always been a big fan of Star Tropics for NES. Although it is rather old, it is never really mentioned nor is very known.

"And I'm sorry, but I just want no part of that. I happen to like gmail, and I honestly don't care if they deliver relevant ads to my inbox."

I am a big fan of it already and I just got it a couple of days ago. I think it is far better then what Earthlink has to offer me and way beyond that of Hotmail. If you guys would like I can take a quick pic of it for you.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: NDS: a big confusing mistake?
« on: June 25, 2004, 04:20:02 PM »
"Nintendofan, I recall Miyamoto-san saying that the gameplay was the most important in those days, when the picture and sound was not so evolved. So with all that focus on super powered consoles on the competition side, I think that is very wrong. They spend mega-fortunes on pumping up the graphics and animations to such a level, and yet most of those games fall short on the gameplay side. Except a few, like Halo for instance. Do they think that Nintendo can´t make games like Halo? Just look at Metroid! Or Geist! Nintendo can make what they like, and the ones they don´t make, they don´t want to make. Like Grand Theft Auto, which they consider to be a dead end street (too violent):"

Your right, I can understand why Nintendo would want to show graphics now, but let's not underestimate the power of gameplay. But for now, lets us just agree that Nintendo has yet to show either of those in most of there commericals?

« on: June 25, 2004, 02:50:36 AM »
"Dude, that avatar is pretty damn sweet. Is he holding his Triforce emblazoned fist up as well?"

Yes, he is. And thanks.

"I recall how in the early Nineties, I saw a GameBoy commercial that was sooo cool. You basically saw three kids standing by the roadside and playing the GameBoy. To the extent that they forgot everything around them, including the fact the very reason why they were standing by the roadside: hitchhiking for a ride to whereever they were going next. Damning themselves for missing out on the opportunity to go with a guy in a truck, who happened to pass them by not to fast as they were playing away. That really showed the level of fun you could have with a GameBoy."

I know what your saying, and I think that really need to consider reverting back to old commericals. I was looking at the Super Mario World Commerical the other day and it was all gameplay, no people in it, just the game and the announcer saying how great the game is.

Although, the new GBA commericals they have right now are a much better step in the right direction, they can get better. But I have no doubt that they are drawing a crowd from them.

« on: June 23, 2004, 12:18:37 PM »
" Instead of blatantly bashing the PSP in commercials I think it would be better for Nintendo to promote how the DS experience absolutely cannot be replicated on any other videogame system. It's sounds mighty impressive and it's true. There are no other systems with dual screens and a touchscreen so thus DS games that make full use of the hardware cannot be played on any other system. "

I like that Idea, for two reasons, one is that it is a great one, and second it is highly realistic for Nintendo to do that. Infact they did it at E3, they should just stick it in a commerical.

To tell you the truth, I can see Nintendo advertising the he!l out of the DS. It just seems like they would and seems like something that can easily be done.
