Ahh, if so I wasn't aware of such a thing. But, it will most likely cost more money nevertheless.

I don't get what the big deal is about re-writable disks are. CD's have them, DVD's have them, and Blu-Ray disks will have them. It would cost a lot more money to have a writeable Blu-Ray drive as opposed to one that just reads them in a console.

The cost of it just isn't realistic for Nintendo or Microsoft or Sony to do if they want to make the price competitive.

According to the Blu-ray Disc Founders (BDF), Blu-ray Disc will offer by far the highest capacity of any optical disc storage format ever developed for consumers, and yet the production costs of manufacturing Blu-ray Discs is expected to be comparable to current DVDs when manufactured at mass volumes. "Capacity and cost savings were the major reasons HP and other industry leaders chose to support Blu-ray Disc," said Maureen Weber, general manager of HP's Optical Storage Solutions. "The PC business revolves around volume and cost; and, the fact that the most logical cost choice also offers far better quality - as well as a smooth transition plan that is both forward- and backward-looking - is icing on the cake."

I guess they are the same cost as a DVD.

Well, I'm from Quincy, Massachusetts. And here is some stuff about Quincy because I don't feel like typing any of it out. But for the most part, it's right next to Boston, so you know the Boston Tea Party, etc., etc.....

Also, they say that the graphics processor is going to be as fast as a desktop one, but as I always thought that it isn't needed in a console. Having one would inturn would make the console have at least twice as good graphics as any desktop PC. But someone please correct me if I am wrong.

15GB is way small though - I don't see much in the way of downloaded content.

This is what I don't get, how is 15GB way to small? That is more then enough space for downloaded content, hell that's even more then enough for Soundtracks and music.

I see nothing wrong with alittle loading time, not only does it give me time to make a sandwhich, but I can also use the bathroom and be back in time before it finishes......

Without online support Animal Crossing 2 would be a completely unneeded and USELESS sequel. It would just be more of the same. And who wants a cookie cutter sequel to a game that in theory has unlimited replay value?

You are pretty naive to make a statement like that. How can you say a game like Animal Crossing can only be improved by online play, that's insane. But, not to make it seem like I am againist the idea, I would love to see Animal Crossing online but to say that the game will only benifit from it is just not right.

Many people thought that the Sims could only be improved by online play, and well look how well that turned out....

And I refuse to believe that Nintendo will "finally embrace online" or however they phrased it. Okay, I don't WANT them to, but I guess it's believable.

I am just looking for Animal Crossing 2 not so much online play of it.

It was really 9 years ago? That long?

Wow, I hadnt realized that it was THAT long ago. It really has been a long time. Just for some strange reason, 1995 doesn't seem right. I mean, I finally gave up and surrendered to the craze, but that was in '98. I had no idea that it started in the mid '90's.

You should use that as the site motto, and even put it under the Planet Gamecube logo instead of Worldwide Nintendo Coverage 24-7-356, just a thought.

Yeah, I sure we will end up using it again, just like the Ocarina from Ocarina of Time to Majora's Mask. Although I would rather not have to.

I doubt they are going to call it Wind Waker 2, it's just a tentive title like Zelda64, until we find out what the real name is.

So, he doesn't like PGC anymore there is really nothing we can do to change his mind. I mean let him get his Nintendo fix from Nintendojo, because we all know thats where the good stuff is.

Also they will bill you if you go past the two months. That's one of the reasons they ask for a valid credit card when you first sign up. But, I think if you use the two months you can always go out and get a twelve month membership card to add on so you don't have go through the setup again.
