and only those games, were removed from the Virtual Console? I'm not saying that's definitely what's going on, but it's certainly a possibility.

Hardly the only games, 14 games have been removed from the North American Virtual Console.

then why was dkc removed from the vc a few months back and why did dk64 never appear there in the first place???

DK64 never appeared because part of the game requires you to play JetPac, which is a Rare/Microsoft owned IP. And no one knows why the DKC games were removed, but Rare has no claim over the game.

LOL, Rare has zero claim to it. It's a Nintendo owned IP that Rare had work on it. It's not like the GoldenEye situation where Nintendo didn't own the IP.

Really? Still bitching about the name of the system? There is nothing wrong the name "Wii U".

And you assume the game is actually finished?  It really wouldn't take Ubisoft 7 months to port the game over to PS3/Xbox 360 since the game is built around the original Rayman Origins engine (meaning the middleware engine is already good to go).   Even without the ports I would assume Rayman would have been delayed anyhow.

Just because an release date was set doesn't mean Ubisoft was finished with the game.

Um, a rep from Ubisoft flat-out admitted that the ONLY reason the game was delayed was so they could port it to Xbox 360 and PlayStation.

Also, my point was that you were wrong on your claims for third party Wii U sales, so you shouldn't be making claims for pre-order numbers without a source.

Kytim, EVERY generation you have developers and publishers go out of business. And you have new ones take there place.

Ymeegod, you also falsely claimed that no third party Wii U game has sold more than 20K copies (which is statistically impossible unless games like Nintendo Land sold 3 copies per system), so what is your source for pre-orders being low?

It sounds like he is basically saying they delayed the game so they could release Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions at the same time. Ugh.

FYE is still around?

And it's sad to see THQ go under. They may not have had the biggest franchises (aside from WWE), but I enjoyed Darksiders and Saints Row immensely. Saints Row is a worthy GTA clone, and it closely resembles the PS2 games in terms of gameplay and presentation (cartoony and over-the-top).

Guess you haven't been in too many malls lately. Yes, FYE is still around.

And GTA is not over-rated, GTA IV was a great game.

I think the spirit of the question would only allow mods made by the developer, not fan made ones.

Or you could view it as a company relying on its fan to do the creative work for them instead of coming up with their own ideas.

Gamers would be hurt significantly if GameStop went out of business. For one, they are pretty much the only source of used games (Best Buy and Target barely carry any), they also carry many niche games that other retailers don't.

I wonder does this mean Nintendo will stop publishing the Wii U version of the game? Or will Nintendo continue doing it?

Tecmo Koei announced today that the previously Wii U-exclusive Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge will be ported to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on April 2 as a retail and digital game.

What is HMV?

Basically like a British version of FYE. They sell music, movies, video games, concert tickets.

1366
Sony and Microsoft would not be stupid enough to sell consoles that have to always be online and can't play used games, like they would tank majorly and the Board of Directors for both would revolt and fire Kaz Hirai and Steve Ballmer.

And the write of that blog will never be a professional journalist since they have an obvious bias against GameStop. GameStop going under would be bad for gamers. For one, Best Buy and Target barely have any used games (Target practically has none), and GameStop carries many niche titles that electronics stores don't.

The chart includes projections through the end of March, which means they are including Aliens: Colonial Marines since it is coming out before the end of March.

What about mods that are created by the community for games that were developed by your company?  Can you use those?  If so, I'd say Valve is a really good one because the mods that are created make for some entirely new games almost.  Or Bethesda could be good as well with mods.

If the idea is that you can only make games made by the developer, then I would imagine fan-mods would not be included since Valve did not develop them.

insano, you are right. I just did a quick glance on Wikipedia. Since I have no desire to own a Mac (over-priced, I can get a equivalent in specs PC for half the price and have a much wider selection of games), I don't pay attention to Mac news.

Even if this were to come to the United States, there isn't an arcade within 50 miles of me. So this game might as well not even exist.

Usually publishers line-up platforms in order of their sales.

Nope, statistically impossible since the Wii U version accounted for 27% of the games total sales, so it would mathematically be impossible for 3 other versions to have sold more than it (since that would add up to at least 108.3%).

I could probably go for quite a while on just Valve titles, actually.
Really... Valve doesn't have that many actual titles last I checked.

According to Wikipedia, they have developed:

Half-Life (PlayStation 2, Windows, Linux) with 4 expansions (Opposing Force, Blue Shift, Deathmatch Source, Decay)
Half-Life 2 (Windows, OS X, Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3)
Half-Life 2: Episode One (Windows, OS X, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3)
Half-Life 2: Episode Two (Windows, OS X, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3)
Counter-Strike (Xbox, Windows, Linux)
Counter-Strike: Condition Zero (Xbox, Windows)
Counter-Strike: Source (Windows, OS X)
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, Windows, OS X)
Team Fortress Classic (Windows)
Team Fortress 2 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Windows, OS X, Linux)
Day of Defeat (Windows)
Day of Defeat: Source (Windows, OS X)
Portal (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Windows, OS X)
Portal 2 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Windows, OS X)
Left 4 Dead (Xbox 360, Windows, OS X)
Left 4 Dead 2 (Xbox 360, Windows, OS X)
Alien Swarm (Windows)

If you picked Activision, you would only get games they directly developed, not games developed by studios they own like Vicarious Visions or Blizzard Entertainment. It's like if you picked Nintendo, you would only get what their main studio develops, not Retro or Intelligent Systems. So if you picked Nippon Ichi Software, you don't get games that Gust developed.

Do you have any actual sales numbers to back up your claims? Because I highly doubt the Wii U has sold 8 million games as of the end of 2012 if the top selling third party game was only at 20K.

Um, Wii U already has a attach rate of 4:1. Software sales for Wii U software (first and third party) are doing pretty good.

Give it up, you have to be insane to think a 57% pricecute will happen. They don't need a pricecut, they just need to get out more software.
