Nintendo Gaming / Modern GameCube games Need Difficulty Settings
« on: February 27, 2003, 01:57:25 AM »
well that really depends

see most or many of you guys are hardcore gamers that are partly real pros
but i can tell you the mainstream gamer has difficulty beating metroid prime on easy
or even with Starfox Adventures

i think you guys played too many REALLY HARD games in the SNES era and now most games are too easy for you
most games are quite easy for me, but, face it, if you see casual gamers play you sometimes wanna kill yourself seein how much
they suck

go chech their guys, they post it as unconfirmed info but the fact alone that they
acknolwege the credibility of this rumor so fast make this all a little more likely

Nintendo Gaming / Eternal Darkness Request
« on: February 26, 2003, 11:06:16 AM »
I see Eternal Darkness as a awesome introduction of what ED still has to offer. My thought is pretty much 'ED, and it can get so much greater'. I really want a sequel, with better fighting, cooler heros, and better graphics, and more gameplay.

you must know the GCN is a carnivore and can be fierce if approached from the wrong angle its thus advisory to wear protective padded gloves and a bulletproof vest when removing the disc in motion

theres this story of a boy who lost his left arm while he attempted to remove a moving GCN disc

If that happens Nintendo should start another Metroid marketing blitz and double Metroid sales. Who wouldnt want to buy the 10awards GOTY!!!!

And I'd like to say thanks to Rick for being active in the boards.  His posts help keep the bullshit down.

Im sure it wont dissapoit because
A: Its being developed for ever
B: Silicon Knights are really talented which they prove with Eternal Darkness (and Too Human must be much better than ED because its a way bigger project)
C: This game definetely has an important meaning, ie is probably seen as a great contribution to Nintendos sucess with the GCN so everyones watching it turns out great. It might be seen as what Metroid was in 2002 for the GCN in 2004 (and I mean by Nintendo).

Nintendo Gaming / Hardest Single Thing To Do On Gamecube?

very funny approach

i really hope Soul Calibur 2 has a ULTRA EVIL HEFTY SPANK MODE thats almost impossible to beat, actually, only possible to beat if your eyes are genetically enhanced or something.

If you open the door after turning it off, the disc continues to spin, and there is a very small chance of injury.

Yes you can, and that is if you have a limited amount of money to spend, and rather invest that in a few cube games. Im gonna get a job though so I can buy a GBA SP but I really hope the controls wont suck, I dont want to play a 3d game with a D-Pad.

absolutely, this game is slowly beggining to be my most anticipated game after Zelda and F-Zero for the first part of 2003
this game could be a great hit, a huge hit infact

i was a little sceptic at first, but the awesome graphics, the obvious variation, the promised epic storyline and the fact that Mikami is doing this one all changed my mind

yeah i was waiting all the time for him too
hes from the cube club demo

I think its great how we always get back to talk about Eternal Darkness after this long time (relatively long) and the fact that it sold rather mediocre. I never see people still talking much about REmake or Mario Sunshine. Shows how great the game is and how well it was remembered.
Truly a masterpiece, yet very much improveable.

I hope to see more exciting fighting in the sequel and a little faster pace.
I thought it was really cool how the characters in ED werent really heros, some really were losers (fat and slow or old )
but I think in the sequel its time for some real Heros that can do some proper fighting action. I dont want the game to become an action only game, but Imagine the great story and spell system combined with some awesome fighting moves *drool'

Those new PGC screens are great, but its slowly looking more and more like a game thats only fun (if not playable) with a GBA.
I really hope thats not the case, for the controls sake alone.
Ofcourse it would be a reason(on of thousands) to buy a GBA, but it could IMO hurt sales.

Great finally you looked at the NINE SUITS!
I think we know too little about this game to be judgemental about it, but so far indications are its a good game if not excellent.
This game is just what we need.

And just like StRaNge said, the girl looks like a raver chick, hell, pack the game with some LSD or Speed and we got the new bestseller in Japan

Back on topic, do you guys think this game will feature more than just those stage designs we saw, like a Fire or City like world?
After all, theres 9 suits and the footage of what we saw only showed one suit, and that was in the space station and the desert part.

Nintendo Gaming / PIKMIN 2 screens (and kirbys air ride screens)
« on: February 25, 2003, 11:09:43 AM »
Im not saying its gonna suck, but I think Nintendo knows it will appeal to a certain crowd of younger gamers(especially in japan) and the graphics indicate that not alot of effort has been put into the port. This will probably be one of those games that gets a 28/40 or maybe way less from Famitsu, sells like 150 000 copies and still brings in money for Nintendo.

Nintendo Gaming / Soul Calibur 2 Discussion!

Now thats some strong assumptions.
Sell on par with the PS2? Im not so sure. Link is a fabulous bonus but the fact that the PS2 has like 5times the userbase makes this slightly unlikely.
Anyhow, great game and a sure must buy for me, perhaps even my first import title (4months wait can be painful, zelda is already killing me and im only not importing caus of language

Yeah you should be, after all, PN03 really promises alot.
The amazing graphics are already visible, and if the promised epicness (does that word exist?)
and the obvious variety in gameplay (with the 9suits) its bound to become a HIT. Maybe even one of this years bestsellers atleast in the West.

This game greatly fits in my coming library because its a contrast to other games I plan on buying soon like Zelda, FF:CC, F-Zero,Soul Calibur etc

Each and every suit features unique abilities and attacks.
I was much interested in the game and after hearing about it being very epic in story and the nine suits thing I want it more than ever, this is a must buy for me.

kirbys airride excites me as much as, well, the fact that i have joghurt in my refrigerator

Pikmin 2 could be great but so far the graphics suck
But what I really want is F-Zero, and Mario 128
