Its really wierd though, the fact alone, that Metroid Prime got better reviews basically everywhere makes this whole thing wierd.

Wow, a remake of the NES game would be great! It'd basically be an entirely new game

Yeah I agree if they remade such an old 2D game on and now made a 3D game fully utilizing the GCN hardware and with probably much increased story line and like a thousand changes it would basically be a new game.

more and more confirmations sinking through
one more day and we know for sure

manuforeva, sure John Lennon wasnt recognized that much as an artist back then, but that was in times of musical revolution, music went through many revolutions

and im sure many people still dont see videogames as art, but one day they will, and shiggy will be the hero

yeah i kinda figured it out now, damn maybe im playing this game wrong, buts it really hard and theres many zombies i have to leave alive
but thats maybe the point of the game, running

anyway, so far im quite satisfied, controls are crappy, atmosphere and graphics are awesome
very worth the 20bucks

ive wasted all my save thingies, is that bad or do they come quite frequently, ive read a bit of a walkthrough and there they made it seem as if everything in the game had to be done perfectly, in which case i will restart the game, or isnt it quite so bad on easy?

well, hes young, hes very good, so hes arrogant and self confident
but i bet that deep inside hes nothing compared to myiamoto

I mean, Myiamoto is to gaming what John Lennon, Bach and Mozart were for music. Im sure that I will visit hes grave when he dies, and I bet a couple of you would too.

He really deserves some kind of Honor not related to the videogaming industry, and honor for peacefully (as in non-violent games) donating masterpieces to the Industry. Like a Nobel Prize

yeah i agree
lets see, but oh this could be so great

and whats up with the reports on gamingage.com about this game being multiplattform?
could hardly be if nintendo and konami are working together nor would Miyamoto talk about a multiplattform game

Thanks, I'll probably wait until the SFA price goes down.

^Yeah its not THAT great. Really good game though if you are looking for a more colorful adventure with awesome graphics. Something went wrong with this game leaving it far below expectations, we all had such high hopes for this one and it dissapointed. It wasnt bad at all, just not really as epic and brilliant as it looked.
Boy I was hyped for that game, I thought it would be a real Zelda replacement when I was stilled bummed out about the Celshaded graphics and ultimately it didnt even come near Zelda.

Id say pick this after Metroid, Eternal Darkness, Resident Evil in one player adventures. But with games like PN03, FF:CC, Zelda, Virtua Fighter RPG, Mario 128..... you have single player experiences that are much more promising and worth the money.
A good game after all, and if you have lots of money, go get it.

im not mad at kojima for anything, in fact, im grateful hes working on GCN project(s) (if he is)
but face it or not so far the konami support hasnt excactly been satisfying

if this is true, that would be so great
a MGS with graphics even much better than MGS2 (and hopefully less crappy annoying radio calls and cutscenes)
would be great

I have a REmake question
i played it today ( i just got it new, pretty late huh )
and always died right at the beginning, I shot at a zombe like 15 times and cut it with the knife probably 8 times and it didnt die, what am I doing wrong??

Nintendo Gaming / new gamcube controller.
« on: February 27, 2003, 04:43:39 AM »
yeah but that was because the sniper rifle in TS2 sucked
the targeting shouldnt always snap back in the center, i liked that better in halo where it just moved by motion on the stick
anyways
the GCN controller is great for FPS IMO and also great for anything else, lets see if SOul Calibur works on it
its the best controller, and feels the best, its really ergonomic which you cant say about the PS2 or Xbox pads

gamefront.de is saying the MGS Remake is multi system and doesnt even make specific mention of GCN

but if Nintendo Europe confirms this it ought to be true
