MGS TT really ought to look better than MGS3 because GCN is the superior system and SK good graphical developers.

when it comes to graphics, Factor 5 no discussion

when I think about GCN2 I wonder what amazing things Factor 5 will be able to do there

Absolutely right. I try to solve whatever I can, but sometimes you dont have the time/will/skills to beat it on your own.
Not all people are videogame freaks and pros.

yup, and the graphics just plain rock

Still, I don't really need a $50 remake of a game I can get for $15.  What's the point?  Why don't they make a remake of the ORIGINAL Metal Gear?  It'd explain Grey Wolf's character and the whole Zanzibar story, and would pretty much be a brand new game considering how dated the NES technology is.  But I've already said this, so...

Well yes that would make sense and doesnt seem like that much more of an effort since SK is redoing almost everything in the game anyways. But well, they ought to have their reasons and since I never played MGS I can live with the fact.

I havent played ED yet but is going to be my next purchase as i've heard too many good things! :-) Just to add my bit -  i'm wondering how Twin Snakes will hold up against MGS3?  Its looking pretty damn good so SK will have to do something pretty special to make it better for the majority who have already played their way through the first one besides updated graphics.  Then again there was REmake :-) But even still, Twin Snakes is looking very similar to SOL just with the levels of the first game, where MGS3 is a whole new story? Will be very interesting to see the end product!

Well, I couldnt really care less about the fact that MGS is a remake, Im one of the few unlucky (now lucky) ones that never played the original. To me its like a whole new awesome game, I loved MGS2 and the fact that its supposed to have a better story with MGS2 gameplay, AWWWEEEEEHAAAAA

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Why All The "Perfect 10's" These Days
« on: August 02, 2003, 07:04:34 AM »
Look, why do you people always see 10/10 as the measure for perfection, perfection is relative.
I really think a 10 means that theres a game thats unbelievable fun, and has no flaws, ie nothing really wrong about it.

So thats the case with Zelda OOT, its hard or IMO almost impossible to find something wrong with it (if you look past the fact that its 5 years old). Its unbelievably fun, captivating, has beautiful graphics, revolutionary gameplay and control and practically no mistakes.
Is it perfect? NO, but almost perfect, and revolutionary.

To make my point more clear, take this example. IGN gave Metroid Prime 9.8/10 which is an excellent score. However, Metroid Prime still had minor flaws or things that could have been better, thus, barely missed the perfect grade.
If in school you get a perfect grade it doesnt mean that your work was perfect, but achieved requirements.

So a perfect game really would have to be the most fun ever(like more than sex), and everlasting (by that I mean neverending).

MM rocks, but OOT is the pinnacle, the unreached peak of videogame development
and the next game I see achieving similar greatness is Too Human (but that ofcourse is based on nothing but my hype)

I really want progressive scan on my games, but HDTVs are expensive.
And since the GCN only supports 480p and not 720p ill wait for the next GCN to buy myself a HDTV set.

I don't and wouldn't expect True Crime to be thaaat big. Although I think they will be able to have enough content. I mean, if it isn't, were they just sitting around playing with their dicks for the past 2 years?

maybe they were fiddling with their dicks onehanded, and used the other one for programming

anyway, back to the point, mouse clicker claims that the world is 6 times bigger then the getaway and 16 times bigger than GTA Vice City, that is friggin huge, I mean, it took me days to find my way around GTA 3, GTA Vice City was almost too big to find my way around

and think about it, if the games area is as big as LA or atleast as big as major city, wouldnt you have difficulty getting around?
dont you people that live in citys have a hard time outside your neighbourhood (when it comes to finding around)?
thats a problem I see coming, they must atleast have a map

I didnt play Morrowind, but I understand your worry, I mean, LA is HUGE, and when they say the game area is 16 times (as one of you stated before) as big as GTA Vice City, how are you ever going to cover that much ground. Although the game area in Mafia is pretty huge, definitely bigger than GTA and that game turned out awesome.

well, the getaway just sucked because it was too ambitious but not a game, more like a badly controlled B Movie

anyways, I just hope that the GCN version doesnt look too bad, If it looks worse than the PS2 version Ill kill myself

Byut if you actually read the thread and Shadow Fox's responses, it's clear that he doesn't choose consoles or games based on graphics- he fully agrees with everyone that points out what really matter is gameplay. HIS point, though, is that he's tired of Sony and MS lying to make people think they're better while Nintendo, the only honest one, gets ignored. He realizes that the ponit to choosing which console to buy is what games it is has, not how good it's graphics are, but he's simply pointing out that despite all the hype and PR BS, the Gamecube is actually the one with the most potential, or at least he thinks so. It's just a discussion, which is what message boards were made for.

I realize and respect that a messageboard is about discussions, but that topic is very old, and the GCN amazing power that is somewhat on one level with Xbox, has been proven by professionals like Factor 5. What Im trying to say is that its really ridiculous what direction gaming (today) comes back to. Just think about the things Denis Dyack said, or Shiggy etc, soon only the gameplay will count, especially starting next Gen where photorealistic graphics can easily be pulled of on any of the systems and the difference in power will probably shrink to an indistinguishable freckle, thus only the contents counts.

It sucks how the developer hardly mentions the cube and doesnt seem to try to use it very much unlike they do with the Xbox.
