I personally do not want to see that feature because dance factory on the PS2 was a disaster, after the game loaded you put a CD in with your songs then it automatically generates steps for the song "as accurately as possible" but the problem was that the step generator Codemasters put in was so broken that the dance steps the game generated was so out of sync it wasn't funny.

But I don't think you can use GC controllers when the Wii is in, well, "Wii mode", can't you??

Gamecube ports still recieve power during any mode the Wii is in. It just depends if the developers add support for the gamecube controllers to work.  Correct me if Im wrong but the first games that suppported the gamecube ports during "Wii mode" is Metal Slug, any virtual console game and probably DBZ tenkaichi 2.

Konami is making a DDR game for the wii up to 4 players compatible, uses DDR mats and Wii remotes + nunchuks. The DDR mats connect to the gamecube ports so DDR:Mario Mix pads are supported in addition to whatever pads Konami churns out for the Wii. In the early demo some arrows will be replaced with controller motions. Also yet again Konami is thinking about what to use Wiiconnect24 in this game.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Dewy's adventure announced!
« on: February 01, 2007, 02:26:01 PM »
An interesting bit with the Konami and IGN interview is that the Wii is much more capable than it is shown with the games right now and Dewy's Adventure will use the normal mapping graphical technique, Konami's main focus in this game is streamlining the graphics engine and the controls to match gameplay. And a interesting bit they said is that if the 4 player mode doesn't work  they will stick to 2 players at least. Also the same art illustrator will be used in DA so don't be surprised if the art direction will be similar.

Tomy's new naruto fighter is cellshaded again and supports Remote + nunchuk, Classic Controller or Gamecube controller.  1 - 4 players yet again and it looks like it will have a modified Naruto Clash of Ninja engine.

Also an interesting fact is that there was supposed to be a 360 release of Scarface but apprently Sierra canceled that version and moved it to the Wii.

I think they will do that exactly but for the purpose of making the rumored zephr 360s with an HDMI port and the rumored 120GB hard drive.

Confirmed:

-Vista will sell on "potential"
-A steal considering all the technology inside of it
-379 U.S. Dollars (for the non-gimped version)
-Hardcore computer users will buy Vista
-Developers will never use 100% of Vista 's power

and so forth...

Is it me or the three I bolded sound like the PS3 right now how it sells on potential, its a steal for what's inside it and developers will never max out the platform?

I still cant believe theres 6 versions of the same OS it seems a little rediculous. I think I'll stick with XP for a while until I buy a another PC that will probably have Vista packed in or I'll say screw it and venture off to Linux land.

3688
I wonder what size limitations (MB wise) are on the original titles.

3689
Well Capcom supports the 360 mainly for the healthy American and European market and the Japanese can be considered a bonus to them and hey more Japanese support in any way helps Microsoft's Japan situation even if its a little stepping stone. PSP is also a easy market because while its considered a dying portable it still has a fairly large and starving userbase and quick and easy ports/remakes will lure in that crowd.

You can also add MegaVania to the mix. (Mega Man Network Transmission)

Don't you mean that game here you throw axes and shoot stuff with a pea shooter but you can't until you get the right chip err card to do so.

Tales on Cube is fairly engaging since the 1 - 4 players are only in play during battles, and while your in the overworld/towns/dungeons its just player 1. I wonder if thats the reason why S-E made DQ:IX into an action RPG to keep everyone involved.

In all fairness Xbox to Xbox360 ports barely looked any better when the Xbox 360 launched. Give developers some time and we will see the graphics shine a little brighter. IMO the graphics look fine on the Wii and theres nothing that makes me cringe.

It's not Nintendo's oficial SD card it's SanDisc's Official Wii SD card. Just like how SanDisc and Sony has an official PSP Memorystick ProDuo card.

I mean if Sega Saturn had the ultimate 2d capabilities why cant the newer systems do amazing 2d games? Is it cuz the gfx cards arent made for it? I knwo that hurt the N64 cuz it really was hard to turn 3d games into 2d because of the gfx card.

Because 3rd parties and now first parties tend to make 3D games on consoles that are capable of doing 3D. The graphics card has nothing to do with it every console was capable of doing 3D was capable of 2D games it was just that 3D was becomming more mainstream and companies followed suit. There will always be 2D games on consoles they are considered niche since how many games like metal slug, ikaruga, chaos field, viewtiful joe and alien hominid were out there in the GCN/PS2/Xbox era.

I know Sony has a hatred of 2d games but Nintendo embraces them so I think they could convice Capcom to make some good MM games in 2d for Wii. Or at least open up the VC vault and give us the x2 and x3 games that are rare as hell no matter what system you get them on.

Capcom will probably just exactly do that and rerelease the NES and SNES megamans on the VC but for me thats useless since I have the compilation discs. Sony's hatered of 2d has more to do with Sony's obvious arrogance since Sony wanted 3D games on the PS1 and 2 just to show the power of those console, but now since Sony is not top dog anymore for now I wonder what will happen.

So It was said that Wii couldnt do Dead Rising becaus eitc ant handle all the onscrean characters right? Well who said that Wii cant handle it? As far as I know they never released the specs but I heard teh CPU was suposed to be preey powerful even thought he graphics chip was what was lacking. They might lose some details or cut down on the numbers a bit but I think it can be done and look pretty good. Spartan had hundred of charcaters on screan at once and it wasnt too bad. Wii can do better than that did.

Well its not just all the characters its that developers have to put AI in each character and RAM + processing power to keep the framerate stable. Comparing Spartan to Dead Rising is like comparing apples and oranges. Spartan has more in common with dynasty/samurai warriors than Dead Rising. Also if Capcom would want to port it to Wii (I highly doubt it since Capcom might keep it 360 exclusive) they would have to dumb the game down a bit and redo the whole control scheme and since we all know Capcom likes to  be so direct port happy I can expect the only Capcom game we will see on Wii for a while is Resident Evil : Umbrella Chronicles.
